  • When I go to Nando's, I always have the Butterfly chicken (309), Fries (371) and Corn on the Cob (69), which only comes to a total of 749, and I find the portion is HUGE, I'm always stuffed afterwards. That means you could have probably a couple more of those glasses of wine ;) Just don't be worried by a water weight gain…
  • Ah, I love this stuff^^ I can speak 5 languages, currently finishing my bachelor in English Literature (last exam tomorrow :/ ) and will go on to Translation Studies next year. I love doing stuff like this, although at the moment I'm still more interested in spelling & pronunciation (ex. it's a-SPAR-a-gus, but…
  • Just don't worry too much, your body obviously needs it, otherwise you wouldn't crave it. Portion control is all, try to limit yourself to a certain amount of these snacks, don't deny your body what it needs. If it doesn't affect your weight, just don't think about it, if it does, exercise in your breaks ;) (That's what I…
  • I've had this problem for months now, especially after Badminton and Squash (VERY brutal on your lower back) until it hurt even just sitting on the couch. My trainer made me train my abs, but not the usual crunches, because they damage your back even more. Exercises like just lifting your feet off the floor and holding for…
  • You should or might want to still monitor it, just to see the progress you do over time, how it goes down as you become fitter and might want to step it up. Also, keep an eye on it, just in case you go too high, and I don't mean number wise, but for you personally. I know, when I go above 180, I begin to feel dizzy and…
  • But surely you want do give your body an all-round workout! The better you train your heart the more stamina you have. The more stamina you have, the lower your heart rate will be (so easier to get into that magical fat burning zone, in which I don't believe by the way ;) ). Also, the more MUSCLE you build, the more fat…
  • That would be me as well, steadily gained weight since I was 10 (doctor's appointments were always very depressing) and had a couple of 10kg in one week phases, until I almost reached 90kg, then MFP happened :) Turned out that my thyroid is a lazy bugger, been on medication for a couple of years now, but the weight is…
  • I prefer epilating, that's a pain I can control myself, rather than go all brutal in one go^^
  • Seriously? You asked a dietician, who studied, who knows what she's doing, whose job it is to do what she does and you don't believe her??? You wouldn't even give it a try? Man....
  • I am 5' 4'' and I have tiny wrists, so I believe I'm small framed. Although I'm a classical pear, so I do have a biiiiig bum and thighs^^ My goal weight is 131 and I'm 22, so still young, I don't understand why people would want to go any lower than that? Ah, but that's just me, I'm not digging the stick-look, I'm working…
  • Meh, the usual, eating pizza and cake and the like from the outside inwards (because that's the best bit) and I absolutely HATE wasting food, so I have to empty everything until it's completely gone, like yoghurt pots, stuff I cook, people's leftovers... We're so lucky to have it, so so lucky, and it makes me beyond angry…
  • Cheers, I will have a good look at that list and be inspired :)
  • Hi :) You've had loads of helpful advice, so I thought I'd ask you as well :) I have been on this journey for AGES now, I started in September 2010. In the first 9 months I lost quite consistently, but not much, got 7 kg down, but since may last year, literally nothing has happened, I am still the same weight, maybe fitter…
  • Don't think about surgery at all for now!! According to your ticker you still have over 30 pounds to go, and in those your tummy could be included. Also, depending on how long it took you to get where you are, you may have simply lost the weight faster than your skin can regenerate. Just give it time. People in their 50s…
  • Bump, in case there's gonna be some more changes! I LOVE stuff like that :D Cheers, man!
  • I wouldn't worry, it's as simple as that: the more you drink, the thirstier you are. Way to get your water in. Your body is used to getting a lot of water now and it just wants to make sure that you get enough of it. Once it knows that it actually gets enough water regularly, you'll have a day of running to the bathroom…
  • Sure depends on the person, I personally am someone that needs a kick in the bum or I won't do it. I will feel hurt at the moment but then realize it's for my best and learn. Unfortunately, most people are a bit more sensitive than that^^
  • Sushi (of any kind) Risotto (of any kind) and Pizza of course, homemade :)
  • Liver and fruit apparently works really well together (not that I know, I strongly dislike liver^^) and prunes and bacon really is weird!! :D (Although I shouldn't talk really :P)
  • Salami dipped in hot chocolate... mmmmmmh :) Apparently Melon and ham is weird (my housemates keep telling me). And obviously the classic - gerkins & nutella (no, I'm not pregnant and I've never been^^)
  • Bump, will read it later, thanks for posting :)
  • I'm 21 and I have never been drunk in my life :) I do like some very sweet types of alcohol like Baileys and Amaretto, but I drink those because I LIKE them, not because I want to get drunk. I agree that it is just a waste of money (and memory sometimes apparently :P) and I'm actually usually even sillier without alcohol ;)
  • First thing that came into my head when I read this: WOW!!! Then: BUMP!!! ;)
  • To be fair, I have always been cold, with or without 'padding' due to hypothyroidism, I know to be cold and it's not any worse this time^^ Being cosy helps though :)
  • Hot chocolate and a big fluffy blanket ;) (Options Indulgence, only 38 cals per mug :D )
  • HAHAHAHAHA, I cannot express in words how much I love this and how much I agree!!! Only recently, in the cinema, a guy came past us with a bin bag: 'Your rubbish guys'. Now what if he'd said 'You're rubbish guys'...? Worth thinking about...
  • To be honest with you, the vitamins your body cannot deal with, you just pee them out (excess vitamins make it all bright orange or yellow *hehe*)
  • Just think... If you lose too much in too short a time period, your skin is gonna be very loose and flappy ;) The slower you lose weight, the more toned you'll look (if you exercise that is) and the more likely it is it's gonna stay off. I lost 20 pounds in over a year, THAT is slow ;)
