  • He's been to a doctor and he said just to stretch and strengthen it and he gave him a few suggestions as far as exercises to do. I was just looking for any additional ideas that could help.
  • Ballet for sure. I hate gyms and weights and everything associated with them because it's so monotonous and boring. Dance, in any form, connects to us on a deeper level and exercises every part of the body. It's something different every time and you learn a lot about your body.
  • I'm a ballet dancer, been dancing for 21 years, and if anything, I've sweat more and more as I get stronger. Sometimes I'll even start sweating when I'm stretching BEFORE class. It's perfectly normal just as it is to not sweat very much during exercise. You'll just have to be extra conscious to not over do it. I took a…
  • Are you taking a new medication or supplement? Sometimes those have appetite killers in them and in that case you'll just have to make sure that you're getting the nutrients you need. If nothing has changed and you just aren't hungry perhaps it would be wise to consult a doctor.
  • Keep in mind that women whose thighs don't touch, are usually underweight. I have the same feelings about my inner thighs and wish they would just shrink already but as long as you are doing exercises for your inner thigh to keep them tight, don't worry so much about that. I'm a dancer, 5'9" 135 pounds and mine have always…
  • Have you tried different combinations for oatmeal? Like adding honey and cinnamon? Or adding some fruit as well? My bf doesn't like breakfast food either but the important part is that you get something with protein and fiber that will keep you full until lunch time. Maybe make a sandwich with whole wheat bread, turkey,…
  • Well unfortunatley I don't have a car right now so I can't go by myself and when we talked about doing our shopping seperately and him waiting in the car, he refused to do that too. I just moved to a new area so maybe there's a grocery store close to the train that I can take but I had kinda hoped that since we live and…
  • I was watching Dr. Oz the other day and they said that having carbs at 1pm will actually help control cravings for the rest of the day and since you're having them so early, you have the rest of the day to burn them off. Having whole wheat products always make me feel fuller and provides more nutritional value that white…
  • i like the gnc lean shakes. they taste great and i can satisfy my chocolate fix without adding all the calories and sugar. i get the swiss chocolate and my bf gets the vanilla. he says the vanilla is good too. :)
  • lol the piano player for my dance class carries one around. he loves it! the first day he got it he was showing it off to everyone.
  • That calendar competition sounds like such a good idea! I will definitely have to try that out. Thanks so much!!
  • hershey kisses... i'll go through a 'big grab' bag in 2 days sometimes. 4 days if I'm good. thus why i've stopped buying them.
  • weekends are very hard for me as well. especially when we have girl's night and go get cheesecake.....
  • I always seem to go over as well. Here's a website I found, it says basically that you don't need to worry about fresh fruit and veggies since it's natural sugar and it lists some food that are packed with added sugars. It also has a sample menu for a day.…
  • work out clothes and a small sized elliptical!
  • That happens to me too. I always try to take a hot shower as soon after my workout as possible to get warm again.
  • I never log the alcoholic drinks I have. I usually only have one or two but I like to think of them as a treat that I don't have to worry about since I log everything else during the day. Last weekend was bad though. It was my bf's birthday and we went to a mexican place. i logged the food I had but not the large glass of…
  • I love sushi too! Just discovered it this year (I used to be very picky but I've been expanding my food repertoire exponentially). I just discovered that hard boiled eggs have only 40 cals per egg, 0g sugar, and 6g protein! So awesome.
  • I think food has a more immediate effect than exercise. Eating well (or not eating well) affects you right after your done eating (i.e. feeling bloated or whatever) and exercise, although for me I always feel better afterwards, doesn't seem to really show until a week or two later. That's just my experience though.
  • Hmmm I'll definitely have to get a small container and try it for myself. 0g of sugar and 40 calories is definitely worth a little extra money wise!!
  • Thank you, that helps alot. :)
  • Exercise releases endorphins which do improve your mood but it's not always enough. If it's clinical depression than you may have to go to a doctor to get a prescription and therapy. My mom has been taking her prescription for years and it's helped her so much. Is it that or are you depressed about something in particular?…
  • LOL pretty much heels always suck. I can't wear them for more than a couple hours, especially if I'm walking around. Obviously the higher you go, the more they will hurt. I have a bunch of pairs but I rarely wear them unless I'm going out on the weekend. I do have one pair that's approximately 3.5 inches or so that I've…
  • Say you exercise for 30 minutes alternating between jogging and walking at 1 minute each like you said. If you divide that between the two it's 15 minutes and walking and 15 minutes of jogging, so that's how I would enter it into exercise.
  • How long are you working out? Is it mostly cardio? It could be that you're just doing too much. It could also be you're not getting enough protein to rebuild muscle after workouts. If those don't seem likely try Emergen-C. It gives you lot's of vitamins and nutrients to replenish your system, dancers swear by it. You have…
