I love real books as well, and still buy them for my profession, but I love my kindle. Back in the day I remember saying that I would never get an Ipod, and now I'm on my 4th one. Never say never, there are advantages to both. I currently have 150 books on my kindle, and depending on my mood, I have SO MUCH to choose from.…

Currently have one tattoo, plan on getting more. Had piercings but they had to come out for health reasons. I would love a white ink tattoo, they look so cool, but people tell me that they don't last. Can anyone provide insight on this? I would appreciate it.

I agree with everyone posted, but especially with Beachlover...you have to cultivate habits that you are willing to live with for the rest of your life. If you don't, you will slip into old ways and gain weight back. and None of us want that.}. Stop the dieting for a week, but don't go overboard with your food intake. When…

I've read from other postings that you need at least 1200 calories per day (usually more) in order to lose weight. How many calories are you allowing yourself per day? I am at 1450, but I don't bother with the extra calories I earn from exercising. I don't exercise that hard. Maybe later if I get hardcore I would consider…

I have not had issues either. i prefer Splenda but use whatever they have when Splenda isn't available. You aren't lactose intolerant by any chance? I am, and those are some of the symptoms. I didn't notice it until later in life. Just a thought.

What does TDEE stand for?

Sarah Silverman, Jim Carrey, Jay Leno. David Letterman has sucked lately also, but Jay is intolerable, in my book.

Depends on your age. At 18 years old, I weighed 105, at 35 I weighed 130, and now, at 49 years old, I'm hoping to get down to 150 for starters. I was too thin when I was younger, but always thought I was fat. Stupid body dysmorphic crap. How old are you?

Welcome! Everybody is doing different plans but we all support each other and all want to get healthy. Log your food, log your exercise, make some friends and you're golden. You are already on your way, congrats on your weight loss.

I feel your pain. I've been going through the exact same thing. I try to lose a little weight between periods because around that time it's impossible and the water weight sucks. I'll be glad when this is over with.

I've only had mine a week, but I really like it. I like knowing my step count, how many calories I've burned, it syncs with my fitness pal, and I like the sleep function. The only real con so far is the cost. It motivates me to walk more and get more exercise. It's supposed to stay charged for a week, but mine doesn't last…

Count me in if space is still available...thanks!

Its a great, supportive community. People are losing weight all difference kinds of ways. Make a plan and go for it!

Sounds like a great, concrete plan. I certainly think you can do it. I only wonder if 2 lbs a week isn't too high a goal? I don't know, try it and readjust if you need to. I'm struggling to lose 1 lb per week, so what do I know. With your sense of committment, I think you will be great.

You are in inspiration and show how important it is to stick with it! You look wonderful!!! Great job!!!

I like bigger guys. My husband is definitely the Teddy Bear type.

Great job, and great attitude!

I'm reading My Extraordinary Ordinary Life by Sissy Spacek. Very very good so far.

Yes! I wasn't crazy about the idea at first, but it is necessary. A friends 16 year old son hit a sewer cover and crashed his Bike. No helmet. He had a traumatic brain injury, missed most of the school year, and had short term memory Issues. Not worth it!

Yay you! It's great to get those nsv's! Size 16's are awesome too, thats some great progress. Thanks for sharing!
-
They are great!

Good to know. I'm focusing on weight numbers and inches, not fat percentages, so that is good to know....thanks!

I just looked up the eat smart precision models on Amazon, and they are very reasonable. I will see what they have out there at the dept stores (jc penney, macys, NOt Target or Walmart). Thanks so much!!!

Nope, don't have an Ollie's, never even heard of it. I might get another WW scale, but I am wary at the moment....but I need to remember that this one might just be past its prime. (like me!)
-
the WW one I have now is not backlit, that is not a big deal to me. I just want reliable numbers!!!! thanks!!!

My fur baby is Hawkeye, seen in my profile pic. He is a Ragdoll, 11 months old, and quite the personality. He wakes e up in the middle of the night for a feeding by tapping in my arm or face with his paw. He has helped me tremendously already, he calms me down from a stressful job.

What is an HRM?
-
I also think it depends on your age. I am 49, 5'3", and 160 would be comfortable for me.
-
I'm 49 years old, so the 110 I weighed when I was 21 won't work for me now. I have set a goal do 160 for my 5'3" frame, but might try to go a little lower after I see how it looks.

10 years ago I had lost 25 pounds and couldn't really tell either. In fact, I didn't go down a size until around the 20. Lb mark...THAT was frustrating. I feel yah. Keep pushing, it's a big accomplish, ent and if you take measurements you will see the differences easier.
