  • Hi Guys! So, I found out last night that I am expecting baby #2!!! I am thrilled about the good news, but a little nervous about the weight gain. I had finally started to get into a weight loss rhythm! My first pregnanct wrecked my body, and I gained 60 pounds! Waaaay too much when you consider that I got pregnant at my…
  • I hear ya! Try to eat most of your calories earlier in the day, and go light on dinner, especially if your evening is pretty sedentary. Also, are you eating small meals through the day or strictly three meals? The issue may be that your body thinks it's starving, though we know it's not, and does everything possible to…
  • Try adding about 1/3 to 1/2 tsp of powdered ranch dressing. It's AWESOME! Had a friend turn me onto it the other day, and now I crave it. Not bad on the calories, either!
  • Ummm.... Chick-Fil-A got me.... A nearby location was offering free a free duplicate order any time in 2009 if you purchased a meal today. I did great, until I noticed that they still had the Peppermint Chocolate Chip Milkshakes.... No nutritional info is listed for it on the Chick-Fil-A website, but if the Cookies & Cream…
  • Amen! If it makes you feel better, I lost my wagon in February and just found a new one this week! :embarassed: Here's hoping I can stay on this time! Welcome back!
  • In the summer, I love some fresh spearmint! Soooo refreshing! Really, try to flavor it with something you like!
  • HUGS! :flowerforyou: Everything is going to be okay!
  • Hi Guys! I just have to share my new find (and someone may have posted about this before me)... No Pudge Fat Free Brownie Mix!!! You add nonfat yogurt, applesauce, or silken tofu. It makes some wonderful, fudgy brownies with the guilt! The best part is that you don't have to make a whole pan (for those who have control…
  • I hear ya! After getting married, having a baby, and just plain being lazy, I have about 100 lbs to lose as well! Just remember, it didn't get there overnight, and it's not going to come off that way either!!! I try to drink lots of water and remember-- nothing tastes as good as thin (or thinner) feels!!! Feel free to…
  • This used to happen to me all the time when I was in school! My solution included baby carrots (great for the crunch and sweetness) and tons of water! I used the same strategy for staying awake in class when I was burning the candle at both ends. For the first part of the class, I drank water when I felt myself get sleepy,…
  • So, I have a ton of Myoplex Mealplex shake mixes left over from when I did Body For Life. There are only 180 calories and 24 g of protein per shake. I am only going to use it for breakfast. My question is if this is okay to use in the whole weight loss program. Any thoughts? Thanks! ~Rebecca
  • Honey, I am so sorry to hear about your loss! We are all here for you! I do agree that you need to wait and see your doctor before exercising. You also need to try to eat something, even if its chicken broth. You need to try to stay strong! Big hugs, and let us know if you need anything at all!!!
  • Hi and welcome! I am seven months postpartum, so I can totally relate! As far as exercise goes, I totally recommend the Mommy-Baby Yoga DVDs from Parents Magazine. You can find them in Target, Wal-Mart, etc. There is one for infants and one for toddlers. The best book I have found for baby recipes is called The Petit…
  • Depending on how much your baby is consuming, you should add 500 to 600 calories per day! I agree that you should consult your ob doc. Good luck!
  • Hi All! I'd like to lose 100 pounds in '08 as well! Feel free to add me to the buddy list. I'm new at this whole calorie-counting thing, but I love that I must hold myself accountable to someone/ something. This site has been great so far! A diet I'm enjoying... who would have thunk it..?
  • I have been using a DVD put out by Parents Magazine (find it at Target, Wal-Mart, etc) for Mommy-Baby Yoga, and it is fabulous! I know the instructor has a new one out for toddlers as well, but I'm not quite there yet. You may want to give those a go, especially if you can't get out a lot. Good luck!
