Great idea! You don't think there will be a problem with having powder in a bag? One of them is vanilla and the last thing I want is people thinking I'm smuggling drugs lol.

I just finished my first year of teaching kindergarten! Next year I will teach 2nd grade. =)

you ladies are super inspiring! I just started lifting a few weeks ago so there's no noticeable definition yet. but I'll keep working on it!

Yeah, this is the first time I've gone out in months so don't plan on making a habit of it! Thanks for all your help, guys!

true. I haven't allowed myself any 'cheat' days so I guess this could be it, lol.

Currently 1410 calories. The bread bowl was like 200 something (I wonder if that counts the bread because I didn't eat the bread, just the soup) and the drinks - 2 were 160 cals., 1 was 77. So I was like 402 calories over.

I'm 23, 5'1", 160 lbs and trying to lose about 40-50 pounds. Feel free to add!

Love this! I've been stuck and it seems I need to increase my calorie intake!

Diet and maybe something like hip hop abs. I've heard great things about it from friends, I'm about to try it myself in July.

I heard cocoa butter does wonders! I don't have kids but I did get a lot of stretch marks from gaining weight. I've noticed that working out the muscles in those areas makes them look less obvious. I have some on my arms but now that I've been lifting weights, they don't look as big.

I haven't (don't have any kids) but would encourage her to look at her progress from all aspects, not just what the scale says. Have her take measurements, notice how her clothes fit, how she feels etc. It's not just a number on a scale!

I made a bunch of these: http://www.muffintinmania.com/2011/07/green-smoothie-cups.html For a while, I followed a juice fast of just the "mean green" juice from the documentary "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" except I didn't really drink enough to stay full. I was too weak to keep at it for more than a week, but did notice…

I came across all these recipes on LiveStrong: http://www.livestrong.com/pre-diabetes-diet-plan/

I'm not diabetic but my mom is, and when I went to the doctor last year and she told me I was overweight and at risk if I didn't lose weight, it spurred my motivation to lose weight. Diabetes is expensive to have, and unhealthy, so I want to do as much as I can to prevent myself from getting it. I don't know so much about…

' I do this too! I think it's a definite improvement, as before I would obsess about eating sweets all the time!

Has anyone ever done yoga? I did some in college but haven't since, save for the occasional time on the Wii Fit.

Awesome job!

I know a lot of bodybuilders/athletes have their diet 40% protein, 30% carbs, 30% fat. That's what I try to get in.
-
I would also appreciated if someone could critique my food choices/offer suggestions for healthier alternatives. I eat back some but not all of my exercise calories.

Mine's public! Or should be anyway. if not, feel free to add me as a friend.

thank you!

Here's a picture of him near the time when I first got him. Left home for less than an hour, and when I came back he had destroyed the couch! He's gotten a lot better since then.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll try some of the gentle leaders. My dog has more of a terrier build than a chihuahua's. He's a medium sized dog, I'd say. And I definitely agree about working up to long distances, I don't think I can even run further than a mile right now. This is Gordie, short for Gordon Freeman, looking a…

A pincher collar - I'll have to try that! Might make him pick up the heel command easier.

Everyone falls off now and then. It's just a matter of picking yourself back up and carrying on. Don't let one setback stand in the way of making progress.
