For those in the UK, may I suggest Tesco Finest Cornish Sea Salted Caramel (chocolate covered) Ice Cream Bars? The Tesco Finest Senga Strawberry and White Chocolate Ice Cream Bars are good too. Oh - Day 1 for me is adding Cadbury Hot Chocolate mix to my coffee(s).

I am 5' 5" (short legs) and have always been a relatively slow walker. At 300 lbs, I struggled to keep a 3 mph pace. At 260 lbs, I was proud to finish my last 5k walk (with hills!) inside of 53 :40 (about a 3.4 mph pace). I keep on working at it...my old joints tell me I am still a bit too heavy to jog. So, as folks say,…

Arbonne Women's Daily Power Pack (multivitamin / multimineral tablet, probiotics and enzyme capsule, bone health and antioxidant tablets). Arbonne Antioxidant and Immunity booster (liquid which I add to a liter of water to drink at work each day). Arbonne Omega 3 capsule. Expensive, but worth it for me.

My recommendation is patience. I tend to go weeks without the scale budging, then suddenly one week it will drop 5 pounds. So, I have finally learned that if I keep doing the right things then eventually the scale will catch up. Frustrating and sometimes it doesn't hurt to change things up within reason - but, be assured…

Well done - Laura. It has been lovely following your progress the last few months. Thank you for being such an inspiration!

On weekdays - in the evening after work at least an hour before I go to bed. It really helps burn off my stress from the workday and improve my mood. As a result, I sleep better and am a much nicer person to be around the next day! On weekends - the timing of my walks are based on weather and energy levels.

Welcome, Bruce. Congratulations on starting down this road; may you have a smooth trip with few potholes!

I am a stress eater and it manifests itself as an uncontrollable, overwhelming need for food (usually a cycle of wanting salty then sweet then salty then sweet). However, if I can curb the stress by making sure I am getting enough sleep and burn up the stress hormones through exercise, then I find the cravings are a lot…

Way to go! You look great and so much happier!

FYI - for American posters - porridge is English for oatmeal and OP does not like it  I like all the egg ideas. A bagel with light cream cheese and wafer thin ham, plus a piece of fruit is not a light breakfast but it keeps me full most of the day so I am not ravenous at night.

My MFP friends got me started me on Quest bars, 21g protein and lots of fibre. They are the first protein bars that I actually enjoy eating. Beef jerky for snacking. Wafer-thin low-fat turkey or chicken slices from a deli - rolled around some low-fat cheese and a veg (like a leaf of lettuce or a cucumber stick). Plain…

Wow! Just....wow!!!!

Both. I make a plan for the day then adjust or change as the day goes by.

Bump for yummy recipes.

Well done on your weight loss! Thank you very much for posting. I plan to work the coconut oil / weight training / time (2 years after maintenance) route - but realistically believe I will need skin removal surgery once I get the weight off....

Thank you for this post and congratulations on a great year!

Yes, I have AMD and need to push vitamin A. Logging supplements helps me make sure I am reaching my vitamin goals.

Bumping for later. Need some of these while in a hotel for the holidays!

"Intelligence is common sense, enough of it is genius." - George Bernard Shaw. Basically, this means to keep my brain from justifying behaviors that my common sense knows are wrong.

You look lovely and healthy. Well done!

Lovely, healthy attitude. You are the co-worker I would want in my workplace.
-
You look wonderful and have a lovely smile! Keep up the good work!

What a wonderful transformation! Thank you for sharing. I am hoping to walk a half-marathon next year...
-
Congratulations on your success! You are looking great.

I would suggest a clear protein drink like Isopure - they are sugar-free, come in fruit flavors, do not have any "bits" (absolutely clear) and the protein will help you keep on track. They can be found in health food stores.

You inspire me every day, Kat!

Bump.
