I had to rely solely on DVDs so far this Summer! Barely made it to the gym in June and by the looks of it, workout DVDs for me in July as well.

Mickey still works for my youngest who is 3. However, Sophia The First is definitely her favorite. Thankfully she is over her Dora phase!!! I'll take Sophia's voice over Dora's any day!!!

I think it's so important that you have your whole family involved in leading a healthier lifestyle!! This is the exact same reason I take my kids on walks and want them to be part of an active family! I think if we want our kids to grow up healthy and fit, we need to show them and get them into this habit from an early…

I had to totally teach myself to throw out my kids' leftovers! But I have a horrible Sweet tooth, so I CANNOT throw away a cookie!! ;) I remember growing up, my mom used to tell me that she gained weight because she always had to finish my food. Now I know exactly what she meant!!

Congratulations on losing the 17lbs!!! And congrats on having a guy in your life who doesn't judge you and knows the right thing to say! ;) Have you tried working out outside since you are in Hawaii? Maybe a light jog that you can turn into a run and eventually little sprints? It's also great that your husband works out…

Wow 5 kids!!! And I thought 3 was hard. I guess everything is relative, right?! Does your 2 year old still nap? Maybe you can occupy older kids and do a 30 minute workout while the youngest is napping? I would really love to work out early in the morning but I just CANNOT make myself get up early to exercise!! It is…

I think it is great that you include your kids in your fitness routine!! Mine are 6,5 and 3 so when I work out at home they have to watch a cartoon or play in the background while I work out. Definitely funny when my 3 year old planks with me. I used to work out strictly at the gym until I found programs that I liked and…

My youngest one is also 3 and after she was born I went back to the gym and worked out like I used to but I had a horrible habit of binging late at night. And I hate that all of my weight goes straight to my mid-section. I wish it went to my booty instead! In January I really decided to take control of my nutrition and…

I stayed in the 140ies for a really long time. As of this January I finally decided to tackle my nutrition and only then the pounds started coming off. So in a few months I was able to really slim down because I changed the way I ate. Oh and I have a horrible sweet tooth as well, plus watching TV at night was a bad…

This year I embraced Yoga and Pilates because I realized that without making my a stronger core and constantly stretching, my body will not take me far! Do you do any other kinds of exercises?
-
Running is great I agree, I need to do it more often. You exercise every part of your body while you run plus clear your mind at the same time. It's funny because most people like to run outside but I'm like a hamster running in circles on the track at the gym. I can't run on the Treadmill either, because the time goes by…

Take it easy on the Fruit! We were always told to eat lots of Fruits and Vegetables as part of a healthy diet. In reality, it should say eat lots of Vegetables and a little bit of Fruit!. While fruit is a great source of fiber and natural sugar, some people tend to go overboard and eat too much. In turn, this keeps sugar…

It can be various things but eating less calories than you need may cause your body to hold on to the weight. So make sure you're eating enough of lean meats, healthy fats, fruits and veggies and drinking lots of water.

I feel the same way! I can't just cut myself off from food by a certain time every night. Especially if I had a busier and more active day and skipped a meal or a snack. Good for you for choosing to eat a fruit rather than turning to sugary snacks or heavy meals right before bed. For me it's not hard to work out for 1 hour…

I don't believe in restricting yourself because you end up setting yourself up for a failure. You can have everything in Moderation! But if you do want to stick to your diet, Do Not Beat Yourself Up! It happened, move on and tomorrow get back on track! Good Luck!

Just think, a few months or a year from now your results will be even more amazing and you will blow your family away! Just keep going and let that reunion be the fuel to your fire and use it to succeed! Good Luck!!

You can join an accountability group and find a fitness buddy to keep each other motivated! I believe that one of the main reasons people succeed is the support of a fitness community or a few people to push you and keep you going!

So one of my challenges when it comes to nutrition is eating late at night! I know you're not supposed to eat 3 hours before going to bed. But some nights it's just soo hard! Who else ends up eating late at night?

Maybe you can add a protein shake for some extra calories.
-
If I work out first thing in the morning I have a protein shake or a pre workout drink. If you eat too much your body will use the energy to digest the food so try to eat something light.
-
Welcome to the group! We all need some accountability at one point or another!!

I used to exercise for years, but I started seeing results only when I began working on my nutrition. I guess that's why they say that Abs are made in the kitchen. And don't worry about the scale, I try to avoid that thing and go by how my clothes fits and how I feel.

Good Luck with you Fitness Plan!!

Sure! We can keep this group open to see if our results are better by August!?

I know most people Do Not like Mondays, however I think if you changed your outlook on this least favorite day of the week you might actually like this day! To me Monday means a new beginning and a fresh start! So even if I ate like crap all weekend long and had a drink or two  , Monday will roll around and kick my…

Take a little bit of time today and plan your meals for the week! If you plan your meals for the next 5 days, you will have an easier time sticking to your nutrition during the week. Very often we make bad choices and grab fast food just because it's faster and easier. So invest some time on Sundays to keep your nutrition…

It's O.K. to Fail as long as you get back up and keep going!! If you don't quit this time around, then you won't have to start all over again!! Good Luck with your fitness journey! Alla Pustelnik.

For best weight loss results, you should stop eating 3 hours before you go to bed!
-
Congrats on losing so much wait, very inspiring! Losing so much weight is a reward in itself even if you are stuck at a plateau now. I wouldn't starve yourself because your body will only hold on to that extra weight. Maybe you need to adjust your workouts and nutrition. Eat more lean protein and veggies and add a protein…

Great job on losing weight! You can find a great workout program to do from home if you just narrow down what you would like to achieve and how. Are you looking for more cardio, strength training, or both? There are so many great 30 minute programs you can do from home that are effective and fun. Also, you don't want to…
