  • Hate them.... The only way I could see them ever being doable is if I had a completely flay tummy and no roll or skin for them to cut into and given me stretched tummy skin I doubt that will ever happen.
  • Yup... always want some chocolate... or large quantities of the baked goods, sugar, peanutbutter... mmmmm. I, like others, try to find healthier options for them... or just try and fit it into my daily intake. I find that working out for sure helps with all symptoms.
  • I would for sure keep the rest days that you listed - your body needs time to repair and re-energize. Dont take them just because your body hurts. Take them even if you feel good. Rest is equally as important as the work. ( a rest day can still be active, walking, going for a bike ride, playing a friendly sport) Shred is…
  • ****... your story is literally a mirror image to me... Scary. Short version... Miserable in University - shy, anxiety problems, emotionally controlling boyfriend, alcoholic father... etc etc, ate my feelings, both happy and sad. Weight - 238 lb University ends, Move to India - found myself, escaped the crazy family and…
  • I was thinking this is what I would do, although as supportive as he is my boyfriend may kill me if I spend any more time with my food scale and calculator. LMAO. All this math better add up to some damn good results!!!
  • Interesting - the main one I was always told this about was carrots, then never really looked into it further until now. I always somewhat wondered. Research is the best medicine I guess.
  • Interesting! Great ( educational) answers. I lost most of my weight simply countig calories. But now looking to be more specific in my losses - hopefully lower BF % I am being enligtened in to the world of my actual "breakdown" and where he calories are coming from. Fun learning curve.
  • Fresh meat doesn't have a nutrition label.... I try to avoid the labels when possible anyways and buy most of my foods at my local market. @ sidesteel - is that veggies included? or just for meat? can you elaborate on why its better? Just want a clear head on what Im doing...
  • Where my power songs come from..... Most Swedish House Mafia PitBull - Don't stop the party/Feel This Moment/Pause BuckCherry - Crazy ***** The Prodigy - Run with the Wolves
  • Running distances look good if you continue to increase. Totally agree with Ilovedeadlift. From doing similar races I'd suggest add in a little balance and core practise... If you can in the weeks closer to it doing a run where every 500 M you throw in a couple sets of exercise eg: run 500 M 1 set pushups 1 set pullups run…
  • Try walking at a slower pace and then letting go. (the type pf pace you might leisurely walk on the side walk - like a stroll - maybe 2.0 /mp ) It will probably just take some time for it to come naturally. If you dont habitually do coordinated movements your body and mind need to develop those skills. Try adding a little…
  • nope but ill try it!!!
  • Neither the original or my post had anything to do with flirting... and I never said anything was wrong with the pic. Many people around here are proud of their accomplishments. My point is that when posting a photo like that - consider that some people may be friending you BASED on that specific photo. In which case you…
  • Quick browse through your friends list and Im guessing most of them ("them" being the long list of young ladies....) wanted to see if you had any more of those profile pictures to look at. ;)
  • Get the books/resources you want - many good suggestions already listed above. Then ask a staff memeber at your gym to help familiarize you with the weights area and some of the machines. Then... get to it and DO NOT BE AFRAID OF THE WEIGHT ROOM. You are the best girl in the house if you can walk into a weight room and do…
  • True Point, you dont have to eat it all.... But ... "Massive" often negates FLAVOR (flavor I believe is different than taste - which can by manufactured and faked - you cannot favke flavor and the right play on ingeredients) , QUALITY, attention to cooking etc. I would much rather eat one smaller, quality flavorful meal…
  • Has nothing to do with being skinny. As Alisontheice said - extra fat or skin may impepde range of motion, but it does not mean you arent flexible. I have read yoga website for large bodies, and some even suggest to shift extra weight around to get deeper into a stretch... even when I teach, I suggest moving bum cheeks out…
  • ICE CREAM!!!! WINE.... Baked goods - Cupcake, Pie, Muffins But the best one.... Inappropriate amounts of Peanut Butter and Saltine crackers! LMAO soo good.
  • So funny I saw this post - I just made sweet potato pancakes from a recipie in a magazine I got at my fitness confrence. They were sadly not all that amazing - taste was ok but they were too soft and not enough texture for me. As its been said before - sacrificing texture is sometimes the result and you get little in…
  • Good Call. Eventually if you dont take a break it your body will force you to do so (e.g your work out will totally suck and you will feel like your body is not doing anything you want it to. Also good to take a day between work outs if you plan on working full body or the same muscle groups.
  • Its ok to "feel" your work out the day after or even 48 hours after (Delayed onset muscle fatigue - some people to take longer to "feel" what they have done) But you should still be able to carry out your daily activities. If you cant move a certain muscle / joint - or feel alot of pain in regular daily activities you have…
  • When you spend more time thinking about trying to beath than drinking your water...... too bad im not a fish.... ...then need to chug the water all the way home.
  • I know alot of distance runners dont use music - but I did - I am by no means a "marathon, feel your body" type of person. There are times where DISTRACTION is needed. My playlist got me through the hard part of the race. I think I even reapeated the same song a few times. Choose music where the tempo isnt too fast over…
  • I think you need to experminet with yourself. My only question is - are you eating a large dinner because you are not fueling yourself properly throughout the day?? I used to eat large dinners because I would hoard all my calories for the end of the day out of paranoia that I would run out of usable food calories too soon…
  • One question - is your photo from 6 years ago or now?? Because if that is a NOW photo Im not sure where you are going to find 21 more pounds to loose!?! Not much bodyfat in that pic ;)
  • Apple - sliced , cinnamon on top & 10 - 12 almonds - Banana - 1/2 tbsp natural PB, cinnamon on top - Homemade muffins - Sliced turkey breast with sliced red peppers, dab of hummus - Marys Gluten Free crackers (1 serving) or 1/2 Serving crackers with a little cheese
  • References. Id want to talk to some of her other clients. You can have all the education you want but if you arent motivational then its not worth it. Will she let you stop when you whine or will she find a way to keep you going? Thats what i would ask. Id want a strong personality. Does she train like she loves her job? (…
  • I cant see your diary so I don't know what you are eating so far... but... Start by purchasing a food scale, a quality set of measuring cups and a good set of measuring spoons. Then focus on whole foods - the things you find around the outside of the grocery store and minimize things that come in packages/boxes. Ensure…
  • Franks Red Hot Sauce ( I dont measure.... so ill say a *kitten* ton of it - enough to cover your meat) Club House Piri Piri seasoning ( a sh*it ton of it - or to your tasting lol) Let it marinate over night. I like smaller chunks of chicken so that more sauce gets absorbed. BBQ it and bast with extra sauce. MMMMM ... soo…
  • Breakfast is a completely personal thing. I am most hungry in the AM and my hunger dimishes throughout the day. I have breakfast 400 cal - snack 200-300 cal - lunch 400(ish)cal all before 1 pm then my afternoon snack and dinner are smaller. But I have an active job - so I need the fuel in the morning to keep me going.. Its…
