  • This site's formula for calculating maintenance sucks hard. I do mine manually
  • Hey man, I started here at 6'5 @ 270, and at 2000. Now I'm 6'5 @ 240, eating 2400 still at a deficit. Don't cut too much too fast, because once you stall at such a low deficit, where do you go from there?
  • My grocery store has a pasta (egg wide) by the name of No Yolks I believe? Anyways, a lot better macros than other pastas out there.
  • What diet you chose doesn't matter, the key is output > input. Just eat healthy and put in 5-10 more minutes at the gym.
  • 1200 seems like very little cals. Are you sure you're only at -500 deficit?
  • I aim for 1g per pound I am
  • I've began putting the entire amount I use in a recipe into excel, including calories, all fats, carbs, etc, for all the food that I use. Then total all those amounts, and divide all those amounts by the total amount of servings.
  • Thank you, that was the answer that I was looking for!
  • Yeah I was having trouble figuring out the total portions from the entire recipe. I was hoping there was more of a way to count the total portions prior to eating it all.... I guess I'll have to just transfer it all and count as I go!
  • i usually try to go with about a fist full, but I have big fists
  • Found this cool little page.... http://www.buzzle.com/articles/how-to-measure-your-own-metabolism.html in there they said your metabolism slows later in the day, so working out at night could help boost it again later in the day.... Although I do believe AM is better : )
  • apparently if I don't eat ANYTHING for 5 weeks.... I'll be 7 lbs away from my goal weight! ...hmmm tempting... ... NOT
  • remove lactic acid from what I've said then, all the rest is true.
  • NO PAIN NO GAIN!!!!!! no but seriously, soreness is associated with lactic acid build up in the muscles. being sore does give you the feeling of I did good today/yesterday, and gives you the feeling of taking a day off because you are in fact sore. BUT a better way to get that soreness our (that acid), is to actually make…
  • easy fix.... Folgers, and Coffee Mate sugar free creamer, coffee costs cents not $5.
  • Yeah I'd say eat some kashi cereal, if you check target they have had pretty good deals on the Kashi Lean Crunch I believe... its the one with fiber twigs in it. It sounds really weird but its about 300 calories with the milk!!!
  • everyone's advice is pretty sound... but just remember this general rule of thumb... "high risk, high returns, low risk, low returns, but with risk comes losses" As for the stock market, the time to get in has pretty much come and gone. All the stocks are beginning to return to a somewhat high again, and some stocks are…
  • i know i just can't believe that i used 200 cals on 2 pieces of fruit, grrrrrrr
  • So we had pork tenderloin, not a roast, my bad!!!! But the tenderloin was really great! It took the same amount of time as any traditional cooking would have taken AND it was still super juicy on the inside. You cook the meat on a small little grill type thing and all the fat just drips down and collects. I'm sure she is…
  • Alright so for today I went with the small meal approach, it seemed to work decently as far as fullness goes. I'm coming up on dinner here in about 2 hours lol so we will see how that turns out. But does it look alright for today? I know I kind of over did it on the post workout with all the nuts/peanut butter
  • Yeah totally go for the regift idea to the neighbor, just don't tell them you don't want them because you're on a diet that might cause some tension hahahaha. Or just regift them to the garbage disposal when he isn't looking.

  • geeze 1/2 cup of cereal?!?!?!?!? thats such a tease, especially since cheerios are so addicting! i also do 1/2 cup dry quaker, but thats usually it. I'll have to start making breakfast bigger and DEFINITELY making dinner way smaller. Tonight's dinner was insane only because I had to workout so late and was absolutely…
  • How do you manage 3-400 in breakfast? I usually have 4 egg whites, and a piece of fruit and its less than 200. If I make my honey wheat pancakes its around that but what do you usually make that takes up that much? I know that a bigger bfast will help throughout the day but it also makes me feel like I did before dieting…
  • Yeah dinner is what SERIOUSLY kills me, I do fine throughout the day pacing myself. But since I'm still at home (for the time being), my parents eat the typical HUGE dinner as their last meal, which is usually made and then eaten at around 7pm. A lot of which is carb heavy and I already know that I'm not supposed to eat…
  • If you set it to 2 lbs/week, thats going to create a bigger deficit in your daily calories, thats why it dropped you to 1k. 2lbs/week is pretty aggressive, especially if you don't have access to a gym. You also might want to look at what you set your lifestyle to, that has a big input. yeah moving firewood is a workout!…
  • DON'T QUIT DONT QUIT DONT QUIT!!!!!!! think of it this way, like green started out with, do you feel/see the improvements taking shape? clothes fitting differently? extra energy you have throughout the day? you also must realize that you are RUNNING, that's very strenuous on your body, take time to think about what you are…
  • HA you wish!!!

  • MMMM they all sound sooo good : D I typically cycle between a few, 3 egg whites, with johnny's (also used in Bill's Breakfast Burrito, search for it in food) and some strawberrys or 1/2 cup oatmeal with brown sugar, sugar free syrup or 1/2 cup mix of krusteaz honey wheat pancakes, with blueberry or banana w/ sugar free…
