I had shin splints when I first started jogging. I found some advice that I laughed at, but it actually worked. Sit in a chair. Point your toe and "write" your alphabet with your toe. I guess it streches the muscles... and helps! But if it continues to hurt, go to doctor. It could be more than shin splints. And more…

Just keep on doing what you are doing! You will get there! My best advice... stop watching the scales. I know its hard to do, but it just discourages me. Because I, just like you, will lose a few pounds then gain a pound. Hang in there and don't stop.:flowerforyou:

Hey, all! Hope everyone is doing well with the 30DS. I love it! I am on D24 and I have lost 12 pounds. So keep up the hard work. Just a suggestion for the ppl having a hard time with the push-ups. I have lots of trouble with my knees and when I first started 30DS I could not do one push-up. I found this website/challenge…

I have worked night shift for almost 8 years, and this has been a constant problem for me. Now, that I am logged my food into MFP, it has taken away some of the anxiety about it. I think as long as you are staying in all of your food goals (Calories, protein, fat, etc) that you are ok. I find that taking fresh veggies and…

I like walk away the pounds with Leslie Sansone and 30 Day Shred. You can look up the walk away the pounds on you tube and see some of the video to see if you'll like it. And 30 Day Shred has beginner modifications. These two are what I do most of the time and I am definitely a beginner.

I like 30 DS. I am on Day 21 and will try level 3 today... Its the only excercise routine I have ever been able to stick with. I have done it every day since day one. I have lost 11 pounds so far and haven't weighed in a week. Good luck with whatever you decide.

To me its a lot different. You do alot of planks -meaning you are essentially in a push up form and do an extra movement with your legs. Also, you do a lot of the same moves as in Level 1 but you keep your legs in a static form. You can look it up on you tube; there are some videos of ppl doing Level 2. I love 30DS... its…

I am on Day 19 of 30DS now. And its hard... but so far I have lost 11 pounds. I can promise I have made more modifications than anyone. My advice is to do as many jumping jacks as you can and then either do punches or butt kicks til they are done with the jumping jacks. And for the push ups, look up how to do a modified…

I did Day 14 today (D2 on L2). At first the planks are awesome; you can feel the burn. But by the end, I am shaking... but I am going to keep on pushing!! I think I may actually like level 2 better than level 1.

Yummy! I have got to try this... I have put the ingridents on my shopping list. Thanks for sharing.

Hey, all! I am currently on D13 L2 and I have lost 9 pounds! I am so excited about this workout. Level 2 is hard, but a different kind of hard. For the most part, it is a completely different workout. Don't be scared of it... you will definitely feel the fear leaving the body, as Jillian would say. Good Luck, everybody!…

Add me... you can never have too much motivation! We can do it!!

Hey, Lanie. I am a 30 year old Mom. I too have struggled with my weight all my life. As a senior in high school, I weighed 160 lbs. I currently weigh about 5 pounds more than when I delivered my daughter... and I have lost some weight. MFP is a great place to get motivation and knowledge. Add me as a friend if you want.…

Walking, of course, but you can also do jumping jacks, push ups, squats, and sit-ups. There are some programs on the internet for free that help you train into harder stuff. www.c25k.com -- site that helps you train your body to run a 5K over several weeks www.hundredpushups.com -- has several programs for push-ups,…
