Been eating something, even if it is something little before taking my morning meds. Seems to help a bit. Doesn't help that been running around for Christmas stuff that I haven't had a chance to exercise. =( Going to get all this stuff taken care of so I can go back to burning it off. I appreciate everyone's input and I…

Thanks! I will give that a shot as well. I know our insurance covers a nutrionist, so I may look into that as well. I probably should have said my body has stalled out rather than starvation mode. Or better yet it had adjusted to my sedentary lifestyle. Now to get it OUT of sedentary lifestyle mode lol.

=) thanks, I am at the moment not making a dent in my caloric intake. It's more of me concerned about needing food to supplement my workouts. To feed the muscles.

Oh wow, I am 35 now, when we finally got to Adderall being the best solution for me, that was about two years ago. Was taking different ADHD meds beginning in 1998 I think? Then finally hit the correct type and dosage that wasn't too much for my heart, but was enough to keep my mind in line with the workload I was doing.…

That's my battle right now, I am during the day thinking "Food? Blech." I have to take my son to the orthodontic doctor today, so going to stop by a local nutrition shop and look into meal replacement shakes. At least something to get into my system to at least force calories and nutrients in, so I don't literally neglect…

Actually, to explain my weight its very simple. I have led a very VERY sedentary lifestyle until recently. The weight has creeped up on me slowly. After pulling up my fitday that I installed years ago, in 2006 I was 168lbs. That was the year my father in law died. After he passed, I delved back into working on computers,…

Nope, don't go crazy eating thankfully. I just eat a small portion of meat or salad, then I am good to go.

That is the thing, we have tried every other medication for ADHD. Strattera made me apathetic to the point it almost caused me a divorce, Vyvanse made my heart feel like it was going to explode, Concerta did nothing. All that was left was Adderall which has worked, but that appetite suppressant part is what is getting me.…

That is what I feared is that my body has gone into starvation mode. I have had my thyroids checked, blood work done, all came back normal. My body has been in starvation mode then for so long that the mere thought of food just makes me think ugh. And I am far from anorexic that is for sure. I would eat nuts and such, but…

See that's the thing, when I eat carbs it all goes into storage. So I phased out most if not all my carbs. (Have no desire for fast food, rice every now and then) I wonder if it could be because of my ADHD medicine. I have to take Adderall to keep me on track all the time being a mom who homeschools. (Been on this type of…

Since I can't have a lot of sugar, would protein bars be a good start to introduce into my system to get it out of it's lull?

Vaginal weights then wouldn't help sadly. I have done Kegels (believe me, hubby can testify) but it hasn't effected bladder leakage. I spoke to my GYN about it, and he told me that after having kids, the muscles that hold up your bladder arn't as effective anymore. That is why he recommended getting a bladder mesh (which…
-
That is something I wonder too, since having three kids my bladder muscles don't hold up anymore. Doctor recommended a mesh insert, and I politely declined. (Heard so many bad things about them) It makes a difference knowing if she is talking about bladder or vaginal discharge.

Thanks so much for the advice and I truely appreciate the listing of places in Georgia! Going to try all the suggestions, because I really want to get in better cardio health. Strength wise I am ok, Cardio, I am out of breath in minutes. So basically: * Thicker Socks * Better fitting shoes * Attempt to convince husband to…

Oh lordy, I wonder what it would say about mine. For the past few years, I have walked around either barefoot or with flipflops. (I am positive that hasn't helped any)
-
Also any suggestions on what are good walking shoes to be looking at? Or is my newbalance ok? I can't run because of an old injury (had to have my achilies tendon cut halfway, so now that I am older it bothers me when I try to run. Jarrs it somehow.)
-
Thanks for all the ideas! As for a running shoe store, what should I google specifically to find one in Georgia? By brand?

Mine is changing my lifestyle. With three children, who are very picky eaters and are already very slim (they are on medications that hinder weight so they have to compensate for weight loss) I find myself still making unhealthy choices due to time constraints and such. Speaking of lifestyle changes, trying to alter the…

You should be able to create a recipe and start logging it as such. Just put all the ingredients into the recipe, then save, that way you have a reference point close to what you made. And horray for yummy smoothies =D

Me personally, I don't take it as I need to eat more. Just that I burned what I ate. (Now I could probably go load up on veggies to compensate for the calories I burned though.) This is just me though, and I for sure ain't a medical expert. Hopefully one of the more health conscious folks on here can help you on your…

I try to weigh in every day as a habit. But I also try to take gains/losses during the week as fluctuation. I try to only take serious the saturday weigh log ins to see what I am losing per week. (I have a dry erase calendar in my bathroom that I log my weight onto each day)

Thanks Jennontheroad. I am just happy he decided to do this with me. (I'm his wife) I try to meet him on his way back to pick up another load and bring him a good supper. I agree it is so hard to prep his food so that it can still be ate three days into a run, but he is starting to make healthier choices instead of…

Thanks! That's the weirdest thing. I can't stand alcohol, never had the taste for it. I am thinking about seeing a nutritionist as well, actually going to see if we have one on our plan that can help me redesign the way I eat. My only weakness is diet coke and sweet tea, which I am trying to cut out. If I can quit smoking…

Thanks I will check it out. Just a bit freaked out about the huge increase in the triglycerides. At my height and weight, it can't be healthy. Sorry if I seemed a bit freaked, just wish I could understand it all and kick my self in the rear for not paying attention to it sooner.

Good luck! Just remember, try to avoid any trigger factors. In example: Have that morning coffee with a cigrette, smoking while driving, etc. That has always been my hardest part. Quitting is a lifetime commitment, and I remember one motto I read somewhere, Not Even One Puff. That's all it takes to get rehooked. Believe…

Thanks a ton! My husband wants to get in better health with me (YAY) but we wanted to make sure to do an exercise plan that was proper. And without knowing the names at first, I was hesitant. So I am greatly appreciative of y'alls help!

Which one is the Smith Machine? (Again, unsure what the formal names of the equipment is)
-
Thanks! I didn't take the photo of the dumbell rack (husband uses it) and the weight plate rack (slap full from 25lb-5lb) stuff. He's more into strength training, so he uses it more. =) The bowflex was old, and hubby liked freeweights better than the bowflex. (dunno why) So they made an even trade. Since we can't pull our…

Oh I agree! Stopping smoking has been the hardest. I get stressed, pick up that first cigarette after a year quit, then its all down hill again. Going to slowly quit my addictions one by one. My weight being first, and smoking will follow (can't do cardio without getting better lungs) then will give up my final addiction…

OH WOW. You did P90x? I had a friend who did that, and I heard it is a brutal routine but if you can do it, it pays off! The smoking cessation, sadly I have tried everything. The gum, patches, smokeless cigarettes (they feel so funky!!), I even tried Chantix which made my night terrors and depression majorly out of…
