I don't know if anyone cares....but if you've had too much sodium, a good way to counteract some of it's effects is to have foods rich in potassium. Potassium is the opposite of sodium. They balance each other out.

I have to agree with Nikki cuz I used to be the same. When I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with myself, I'd go to the kitchen to see if there was anything I wanted. Even now, when my husband and I are sitting at home bored on a Saturday and we're trying to figure out what to do, going OUT to eat will pop into my…

ON THE FLIP SIDE. Today I had chinese food for dinner and I'm thinking, Holy Crap, considering lunch, when I log in my calories tonight, I'm gonna be suicidal. Well, I got the kids portion of beef and broccoli, brown rice, one spare rib, and an egg roll. I was amazed to find out that the beef and broccoli is actually very…

yeah, it's amazing how those calories can creep up on you. I did the soup and salad with breadsticks and I thought to myself, "Ok, just one breadstick, the dressing is vinagrette so it should be ok, and one soup. I consumed like 850 calories on a freaken soup and salad!!!! What a waste!

SHUT UP!! SUSHI TOO?!?!?!? A tuna roll none the less?????? Wow!! 500 calories??? THat's crazy!!

your body goes into starvation mode if you NET below 1100 calories. SO, if you are working out and only eating 1200 calories a day, i'm sure your body is starving and holding on to whatever it eats cuz you're probably only holding on to 600-800 calories.

They say that if it's above the neck, then it's ok. It might actually help you decongest. If it's below the neck, you should stay in and rest up, otherwise, you can lend yourself to getting more serious respiratory problems, like bronchitis.

I agree with everyone else about portion control. Definitely only eat half of your plate(s). Some tricks that help me are 1.) eating very wisely during the day before my big meal, 2.) hitting the gym and burning off some calories, and 3.) I take huge gulps of water or diet soda before my big meal in order to take up some…

I sent you a message on your email in resonse to this due to the graphic nature. Please check it and let me know if there's anything else I can do to help.

That's awesome that you're losing the weight that quickly but on one of your responses you said that you realize at some point, you'll be sick of starving and that you'll move your calorie intake up to make up for it. That's a good plan but the problem may be that psychologically..once you get to that point, your brain may…

I just hate that I let myself consume that many calories in just one lunch............although the sandwich was tasty, I should have stopped there. It seems like such a waste. I'd rather eat healthy on each of my meals and then allow myself little treats like a mini snickers here and there then blow a huge poriton of my…

I had half the Santa Fe chicken sandwich (DEEEE LISH, grilled chicken, guacamole, swiss cheese, bacon, 1000 island dressing, on honey whole wheat bread...it's like heaven) and salad bar. Plus the soft serve ice cream you can have at the end. I'm gonna go and do my normal routine at the gym which should earn me about 400…

vodka, gin, scotch and rum clock in at about 60 calories a serving. My go to drink is scotch and soda or water OR rum and diet coke. You can have three of those for the "cost" of a beer. Wine is about 100 calories a glass, and obviously, proper cocktails are like having desert....forget those, you can blow an entire daily…

LMAO!!! THAT'S HILARIOUS!! GREAT STORY!

You might be retaining water from your bad eating over the weekend which could affect the number on the scale. Keep on track and weigh yourself the following weekend, I'm sure you'll see that you've lost some.

I know what you are saying about feeling awesome and your body telling you that you don't really need to eat those exercise calories cuz that happened to me for about a month. However, at the end of that month, my brain was foggy and I began to feel weak......malnurished. I took vitamins but that wasn't enough, I began to…

when I need to make up calorie deficiencies, my go to foods are peanut butter or a handful of nuts, guacamole or avocado; or chicken with olive oil sprinkled on it. Hummus is also good. Use guac and hummus on your sandwiches and wraps instead of mayo.

HEY OH!! I'd also have the greatest biceps if I walked around with a white flag all the time.
-
Hummus is an excellent source of protein and good fats. It's high in fiber and fiber helps you trap food undigested and move it along so it nullifies some of the calories you're eating. If you're gonna add some type of condiment to make your sandwich or burger taste better, hummus and guacamole make excellent substitutes

You turn 30 and it's more like "crap, I'm not young anymore, I can't suffer a hangover anymore, I can't go jogging in the rain anymore because of my arthritis; I can't eat what I want anymore cuz it'll go straight to my thighs." But also, quality of life goes way up in your 30's. You have more cash flow than you ever did,…

Trust me, If I had intended to lie about my age, I would have lied about how old I am NOW!! SHeesh, I wish from now on all I had were 28th birthdays. I know you were joking. We're cool! By the way, you look great, keep up the good work.

chugunitz.....I was born in 1977. I did the math wrong. I caught it after I posted it. I suppose I was 25 then. Is that right? Would you like me to send you my social security number and driver's license ;)?

It's just amazing how rough we are on ourselves and the ridiculous ideals that we set. It really opened my eyes. I wouldn't have believed it had i not seen it with my own eyes!!

THat's really really awesome!! Congratulations and Happy Birthday!! You're almost there!!

I think the best advise is to "just do it" . I'm gonna take my *kitten* to the gym and I'm gonna tell myself, "Ok, Romina, just 20 minutes". Once i'm on there, I'll most likely extend the time and have a proper work out. It just sucks, though. I get these depressions and then I stay in and then I don't work out and then I…

I normally would hit the gym a little bit harder and watch my calories the next day, without going under that magical 1200 net number. By the way, I like to drink too and what I do is have scotch and soda or rum and diet. Those cash in at 60 calories a pop as opposed to the pale ale's 175+ calories. You can have twice as…

I find that tennis is a great outdoor exercise. It's a game so the time passes super fast and you do a lot of short sprints in different directions so it challenges your body and muscles in ways the gym can't.

I'm in!! That was actually my goal before you posted this. Every time I get on the treadmill, I imagine myself in a skimpy costume not having to suck my stomache in or tug at things. I'm excited!! Now I feel like i have even more drive cuz i gotta keep in check with you guys. I'm shooting for 6 solid forever gone pounds…

I was almost 2 years old before I started walking and I currently run 5 miles a day. Each kid is different.

That's kinda what happened to me. I didn't live in Europe but I was a cocktail waitress for years in Las Vegas and walking around in heels, 8 hours a day with a 15 lb tray definitely helped keep me in shape. Then I turned 30, moved here to ORlando and started work at an office job, and all of a sudden, my aweseome…
