had a fat, juicy, medium rare burger last night with hand cut fries and a great beer. No regrets.

your story is so boss... I have no excuses right now.

These are my favorite kinds of success stories. GO YOU!

What a great gift to yourself!

You may not be able to change your family or coworkers' behavior, so just prove them wrong by following through on your commitment to fitness. Stop posting on Facebook about your feelings or progress. It's clear that people don't want to hear about it and they're not being supportive anyway, so use MFP as your community…

This is such an awesome thread for anyone who's struggling with low calorie allowances to see. Thanks, everyone!

You look FAB just as you are. Great work! Are you planning to continue keto?
-
fabulous work! I'm looking to get to a similar place.

I have only one question: HOW DID YOU TYPE UPSIDE-DOWN?!?
-
Honestly, at my lowest weight (120-130), I thought I was obese and felt severely unhappy. Obviously with the perspective I have now, I would love to shake my younger self out of the destructive tendencies! Weight didn't matter to me, but my health was clearly not good. I'm working on health, now, and will gladly take…

You can get her vids for free on youtube so there's no risk! I do her 4 mi walk and it can range from easy to moderate depending on how much effort I put in. It won't make you sweat, but you can still feel it if you put in extra energy or additional weights/movement.

second the rec for Blogilates and BodyRock

I stumbled out of bed in a haze and made a cup of coffee. How many calories is that?? There was some bicep action going on there.

You look so happy! Great work!

Yep, I'm in the same boat and going to implement the same plan. Good luck!

Yes, the point of MFP for me is to learn how to eat healthfully and normally, adopting good eating habits for the rest of my life. This means that for all the holidays or social meals to come, you gotta eat in moderation and also enjoy yourself a little bit, while keeping an eye on your health. Deprivation or diet-mode…

incredible progress, you should be so proud!

Feel free to add me!

fabulous progress for just three months! dang!

great post! there are so many people with eating disorders or practicing disordered eating on MFP :(

I personally don't feel comfortable around kids because I don't feel like a competent caretaker for them... but you might be different. The kid might grow on you. If it's early on in your relationship, you probably wouldn't meet the kid anyway (at least most parents don't introduce their children to new partners until…

Your neighbors are *kitten*. You called him out (which is awesome on your part!) and he just proved himself a jerk. That poor kid has a crappy parent. You can ignore them like everyone has suggested either with an ipod or change your run time... OR you can name and shame them by bringing your camera along and catch them…

I scored 79... so many things on that list were basic! I'd love to try kangaroo.

If you genuinely have a food addiction problem, I would see a professional about it. You know exactly what you should be doing, but you have to really want to do it. Maybe seeing someone will help you identify your barriers or mental obstacles. I don't know your household arrangements, but get your husband to cook?

I've found the friends component to be pretty important. Even though we live in a fatphobic world where practically everyone is on a diet, losing weight can be a very lonely thing, strangely enough. You're welcome to add me. My overall goal is to lose about 50 pounds, 20+ of which I lost prior to MFP, and I'm still…

This is exactly why I wish MFP had additional trackers, like BF% lost or inches lost in addition to weight lost. I think the same way as you, but there are still days when it can be hard to convince myself that I'm making progress.
-
fabulous progress! I think inches lost and body recomposition is so much more important than numbers on the scale. I'm really happy to hear your story, and hoping that my progress is going in the same direction :)
-
FABULOUS work!! I have a similar approach because I'm in it for the long haul. Glad to hear you broke your plateau.
-
My goal weight is just a rough idea and mostly arbitary - 130# at 5'2. It's what I weighed starting college. Looking back at pictures of myself then, what the hell was I complaining about? But of course, 130# without context means nothing. That's why I'm trying to get to about 25% bodyfat. That's a better indicator for me.…

great post! I second the NerdFitness recommendation.
