I too am looking to "start again". Last year I lost 26 lbs and was the lowest I've been since early high school years. I felt great. Then a vacation in november, holidays, and excuse after excuse, and now I've gained back 17 of those pounds. I just weighed and measured myself and it's so disapointing to see I'm exactly…

I'd love to see some answers cause I'm in the same boat. I was going to start Insanity, but over the 2 weeks I kept finding myself cutting the workouts short or skipping too much cause of how long they take.

No real answers, but I too am in the high HR boat. I use a Polar FT4 and consistently have a heart rate in the 170's when working out no problem. I get into the mid 180's for briefer periods, but don't last more than a couple minutes there. My true resting HR is 60-70's, but it jumps up over 100 quite easily. I'm a nurse,…

I've always had huge calves also, and thought it was all muscle as they've always been pretty rock solid. Finding out as I"m losing weight, my calves are getting smaller also. They are still pretty good size, but don't bother me as much now

I too am a nurse, and fully agree. I understand you like her, and she seems like a great nurse, but unfortunately whether or not she's taking them herself, selling them, whatever, that is not acceptable at all!

I typically have cheat day approx once a week ( I LOVE my cheeseburgers!) However, instead of staying within my calorie allowance, I'm finding it actually does my body good to go over by 500-1000 cal every 1-2weeks. I recently hit a plateau, but looking at my diary, I realized for those 3 weeks I had done really well and…

We do the same in my house, or try to: Same meal plan, different portion sizes. And he and the kids usually get some delicious pasta/rice/potatoes/carbs that I replace with an extra helping of whatever veggie for me.

Gym Class Heroes: The fighter. The lyrics push me that last half mile everytime!

I did the beginner. Good job, the warm ups and post stretching can get a bit monotonous as they are the same for every workout, but the workouts themselves are great.

Haven't had any mini treats, but my plan is once I get to my goal weight, and can maintain it for a few months, I might splurge on some nice jeans that really enhance just how good my butt looks! And some new tops I'm sure!

After weighing and measuring: 8.8 lbs down and 5 inch lost. Really wish I had taken before/after pics now!

Definite bragging rights! Running is NOT an easy thing. You've accomplished a lot, and I'm sure you'll continue to beat times, run further than you have before, and love what your body can do.

Great suggestions here! There are so many days that I wish I didn't always have to find time to ensure I got a workout in, or eat WHATEVER my heart desires. But then I think about how much I hated my body weighing more and how proud I feel after I get a good burn in, especially when I didn't want to in the first place, or…

My diary is open, any help?? I need to figure out how to reverse the scales again!

Truly amazing your transformation, and I love the impact it's having, not only in your life, but that of your children. I was tearing up reading your post, as you don't realize just how meaningful some of this simple stuff is until you experience it. Spending quality time interacting with your kids that you may not have…

That is awesome! It's those little victories that keep me motivated!

Most anyone I know knows how hard I've been working to eat better and lose weight, so I don't get the "are you sick?" comments, but some co-workers have asked if I'm anorexic or have another eating disorder (I'm a nurse, so they're "just concerned"). Um no, I just don't snack on all the crap we have at work like everyone…

thanks for the suggestions. Last week I had a head cold and pushed though. Caught another something this week, but between working 12+hour days and feeling like I got hit by a truck, think I'm gonna let this week go and get back onto my normally scheduled workouts once I get some strength back.

anyone??

Congratulations on your baby boy! My little boy is about to turn 1 and my girl just turned 3. It certainly is crazy trying to juggle life with little ones, work, working out and rest, then trying to find time to make healthy meals and not resort to fast food or nuke it meals. My biggest help, planning ahead, and finding…

Thank you!

That was me the weekend before. It was my daughters birthday, we went out a couple times and I just blew it. I just tried to make sure I did really well the rest of the week and didn't expect any loss. And I didn't, last friday I only lost like .2 lbs from the previous week, but I'm already seeing a close to 2 lb drop this…

I LOVE my PB protein shakes. If I'm low on my fat for the day I have a scoop of chocolate protein powder and 2 tbsp PB- milk and ice. Super quick and easy, healthy and fantastic to me! It's almost like dessert!

bump. Can't wait to try it!!

I use spaghetti squash anytime we made spaghetti- the obvious. I also pair it with other "italian" meals- we're making chicken parmesan which I'll have spaghetti squash with it. It's fantastic too by itself with just some seasonings/pepper on it, or a little grated parmesan cheese.

We spend about $100/wk for essentially 2 adults and a preschooler. Our prices are pretty average I'd say.

WOW great job!! I just started week 7 and got through my first 25 min run. Isn't it amazing when you accomplish so much more than you ever thought you could!?! I hate the start and middle of it, but I am so happy at the end that I push myself to get through.

Thanks for all the replies everyone! Yes, all my info is correct in both MFP and HRM. This to me might be the only thing that makes some sense. I've only done about 4 workouts now with my HRM, but each time it's 100+ calories more than what I've been getting from MFP.

Well, my problem is aside from my cheat days, most days I have trouble even getting to my 1200 cal, and yes, that is with overestimating how much I ate. So, if I'm only consuming just over 1000 cal/day and burning a lot more calories than I originally thought, that's going to create way too much of a deficit.
