I track exercise on fitocracy and don't log it here. I have my calorie intake goal set at a level that includes the assumption that I'm exercising almost daily.

You could do body weight circuits, those can be fun. Google it, there are some online. Or you could do yoga videos, pilates videos, bootcamp videos...there are tons of free exercise videos online.
-
What kind of exercise are you doing? It's probably water weight.

fitocracy

They could have BPA or other chemicals so maybe that's a concern, as well as sodium. But overall, just rinse them and you should be fine to eat them.

Have you heard of intuitive eating? It helps you work past some of the emotional baggage and work on eating healthy amounts and using other methods to deal with stress, anger, sadness, boredom, etc.

I make turmeric tea with a little coconut oil...it's got that warm, nice aspect to it but it also has some properties that can help actually make you feel better. 2 tbsp turmeric powder 1 tsp powdered ginger or 1\2 inch fresh grated ginger 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tbsp honey 1\2 tsp dried thyme 2 tbsp coconut oil 4 cups…

Maybe different serving sizes/number of servings?
-
Lol I don't know what to tell you, I just feel your pain. 1C oil...ugh!

I assume you've tried music, TV or even a book? If so and you're still bored, the treadmill just isn't for you. I agree with the people above about getting onto some other machines, trying weights, maybe do a cardio class like some kind of dance or even a bootcamp type thing.
-
I also use fitocracy. They have some good premade workouts or you can design your own. There are adjustable dumbbells and kettlebells out there that would work great to get you started.
-
Agree with above. Do bodyweight exercises if you can't buy or commit to getting heavier weights. It will go a long ways. If you're in the market for heavier weights, I have an ironmaster kettlebell and the plates on it are interchangeable with their dumbbells. I'm a huge fan of that piece of equipment. It lasted me for a…

Have you tried lifting? I'm a pear shape and I love doing heavy lifting with my lower body, like deadlifts...not a huge squat fan but I do them sometimes.
-
I used to do tons of cardio. I was 10 lbs lighter and 2 sizes bigger. Then I got into lifting and the rest is history. Buuuuuut if she doesn't want to, there may be no way to convince her. I don't think you said WHY she doesn't want to. Does she think it's boring? Is she intimidated by the men in the weight section? Is she…

Cook in iron cookware. It helps infuse the food.

I like jasmine green tea, personally :)
-
Nice job :)
-
Yeah I agree with all of the above. Why remove the fiber from really healthy foods instead of just eating them?
-
I use fitocracy. You can log each activity and set like 8 different routines so you can remember what you want to do from day to day.
-
I agree with this. My calorie count is also a little higher to account for exercise so I don't need to eat back.
-
I don't log it here. I log on fitocracy because it's much better suited to what I do. Besides, MFP is kind of notorious for overestimating calories burned.

From your description it sounds to me like you're marking progress, since the definition of progress is that you're moving ahead and you definitely have done that. You're over 40 though, so you can't expect super fast gains anymore. Your body is just a little older than it once was. If it takes 3 weeks to add 5kg then so…

I use fitocracy and it helps me. It just helps me to keep track of what I've done, what my PRs are, and it's some motivation to keep going.
-
I always do my deadlifts first so my hands and legs aren't tired for it :)
-
Yeah I see a difference. Nice job! Keep it up :)
-
I think the fitness blender videos are usually more a mix of cardio and weight, so the lower weights are ok because you're going to be doing a ton of reps and that's going to wear you out. If you're serious about trying weight lifting, as in heavy weights, try doing some deadlifts, squats and presses starting at a low…

Oh, I eat plain yogurt so it doesn't have anything but natural sugar. You *should* get a lot of probiotics per day but once your gut is properly colonized, if you're eating the type of probiotics that do colonize, you don't have to eat/supplement probiotics daily. You can skip from time to time if you want. Probiotics are…

The probiotics in yogurt are actually not useless. As long as you keep eating it daily or near daily they do their job, but they don't colonize the gut. I don't use any brand. I actually ferment my own food (pickles, kimchi, sauerkraut) and make milk kefir on and off depending whether I'm in the mood to drink it.
-
Agree about probiotics, although it doesn't have to be a probiotic pill. You can very easily eat yogurt and ferment your own pickles, kimchi, etc. It will help balance your gut microbes and the beneficial bacteria help you digest food. http://www.aboutibs.org/site/treatment/medications/probiotics-antibiotics Hope you feel…

^^ You could try one of the beginner programs like stronglifts. I don't believe they have a DVD but it's a program you could follow on your own time.
