I have Lupus and I have been taking prednisone for 5 months now. Between sever fatigue, muscle weakness, and joint pain I am struggling. Gaining weight on the prednisone and being so inactive. I can relate to how you feel. It's hard to adjust to the medications on top of the condition itself.

Yeah. Good luck. It really does pay to get it fixed the pain just goes away so fast.

I would not do it myself. The Dr numbs the area and injects a steroid to help prevent it from coming back. I am also to chicken to do it myself :-)

Get your doctor to drain it. I have had several on my wrist and never had any problems getting them drain by a Dr. Hurts to get done but by the next day it's perfect.

It is a hard work out but the feeling of getting through it is unbeatable. If you want to do go for it, I recommend taking a week and work on form before jumping in. I did not and just jumped in with bad form and after a few weeks my knees hurt so bad I had to stop. I went to a trainer shortly after and learned that my…

Some great advice has been left already. All I can add is you can do this. You can find comfort in setting a small goal and achieving it. I can relate to the stresses of a bad marriage and the stresses that come after as mine ended in divorce. Between that and a surgery depressions set in and I found it easier to pick up…

You sound a lot like me. I am 5'2 and have been on here a long time. I started at 165 got down to 135. I still log daily but with current events in my life (seperation, buying a new home, and insomina) my motivation has been dwindling and gym time has been non existent. Like you I also go it alone and it's easy to not…

Day 2 down. Man that was tough I took more breaks than I would like to admit, but I did it. Pretty excited! Just hope I can walk tomorrow :)

I am 5' 2 and have another 30ish pounds to lose as well. I also try to stay in the 1200 calories range. I recently bought a HRM and realized I do t burn close to what I thought I did, so I am basically learning how to stay in the 1200 calories all over again. I spend a lot of time looking for different recipes to help stay…

When I finally had enough of gaining weight and was ready to lose running was the one thing I hated. I wasn't good at it, but I can't admit defeat very often so I found couch to 5k and just kept at it. Once completed I started bridge to 10k. I am struggling a bit with that one so went back to the couch to 5k and am…
