I have a person on my friend list that I think met her husband on MFP. I think it's so awesome! What better way to find a spouse than somewhere like here where you can start off a marriage together with the same goals.
-
The five things I have cut out that seem to be helping me the most are: 1. "Excuses" i.e. too hard, don't wanna, no time 2. Denial - I no longer pretend I didn't eat something. now that I use MFP, everything is logged and accounted for 3. My Gym Requirement - Turns out I don't need a gym to exercise! Duh! 4. Overall…

Yes! From what I've learned while being here on MFP, if you look at your profile again, it will probably say your NET goal is 1200 calories, which is why the profile calculator has you put in how many workouts per week your goal is. I still don't know tons, but through experience I learned in the beginning that netting…

To me, a "cheat day" is just a day I chose to eat less healthily than other days. I usually try to plan around them for instance when i know I'm going out to a restaurant or party or whatever. When I started this a little over a year ago, I was truly in the mindset of it being a lifestyle change, and have actually never…

You are so pretty!! Congratulations on your success, that's very inspiring.

Seriously awesome! And look at how many people you've inspired just by posting this! well done! :flowerforyou:

These are great ideas, thanks everyone I have to add that shrimp kabobs are my favorite. I like to load them up with bell peppers, onions, mushrooms in italian dressing, and sometimes we throw some steak on them too. YUM

that sounds yummy! I'm not a fan of cats either

bumping... sorry I don't have any cat references......

Bumping this..... Color Me Rad was awesome, I can't wait to do another one that is just as fun. I never realized there were soooooo many different options until just recently. I'm wondering, does anyone know if there is a good website that lists all the different types of 5k runs all in one collective place?
-
Hello! I'm 9 weeks in and I've gained 1 pound so far. I'm hoping to stay about the same until the 2nd trimester. I have been logging on MFP for about a year now. Definitely still overweight as my goal weight is still about 20 to 25 pounds away but I've done significantly better in the last year than I have in pretty much…

Cool, thanks! I got mine and it does work. That's cool!

I can't remember how I posted pics in the first place, but here is a link to my pics/story. I don't think I originally added that I"m 5'7" http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/704281-1st-mini-goal-acheived-wedding-dress-nsv-for-me Since that posting, I have lost another 10 pounds but am taking a break from losing weight…

Wow, that's intense. Definitely made me tear up. Thank you for sharing!
-
I had to laugh at the 3/4" because I am also 5'7 3/4"! I always be sure to tack that on! I would like to start again too, I did really great for a few weeks, then summer fun got the best of my exercise time... then started again a little bit...... then moved into a new house..... Well, now I'm moved and mostly settled in,…

This is so cool! :) I made it one of my goals to put my dress back on once I reached my wedding day weight. I was so amazed how differently the dress fit. I was at the same exact weight but much more fit so the dress was quite baggy on me! However, I'm only 4 years and one kid in... Good for you!!!!
-
WOW that is a fantastic 6 month transformation! Good Job!
-
Odie Cliff hmm. How boring
-
OHHh and another one that ALWAYS makes me cheer up *NO MATTER WHAT* Go to Youtube and search for laughing babies. Those never fail to give me a smile.

I read another one too, that was even funnier.…

My husband and I were together long distance for about 3.5 years before we got married. We got married in September and I didn't move in until December when I graduated from college. We are still very happily married after almost four years. So, I never could relate either, but then again I don't usually offer up advice…

Mine is very good at remembering things. Specific details. Little story that comes to mind: my husband is a cop. A while back, there was a person that shot a cow, and when the cops were called they took pictures/"fossils?" (don't know what they're called) of the tire tracks that they believed to be the vehicle of the…

That is so freaking awesome! GOOD FOR YOU!!! Good luck on your journey on to the next mini goal :drinker:
-
That is so cool! Congratulations on making your tomorrow today. This journey is truly done one day at a time That is exactly how I felt about 2 weeks in to the Couch to 5k program, (maybe you should look into it a.k.a: C25k) I had this moment of "OMG I am RUNNING! and I feel so GOOD about myself" that your story reminded…

I read every single one of those but the last one is my favorite, it gave me chills and made me tear up. I am so happy for you!! WELL DONE!!!!
-
Thank you all for your kind words. This makes me feel so good and I am even more motivated now to continue on with the rest of my goals

Thanks for sharing this! After I originally posted I was thinking, 'oh no... People are gonna think I'm weird for doing this, who compares themselves in a big poofy wedding dress??' so I was surprised to see someone else did it too. It felt great for me too, even though I was totally in love with my wedding day photos, I'm…
