I only knew my husband like 3 months when we got engaged, less than a year when we got married, and pregnant before I knew him for a whole year.... 3 little girls and 10 years later.... here we are :-) dangit... I meant to tag the girl who got preg on her first date!

alot of people wear heart rate monitors and just go by that, I just log mine as one thing for that set time- for example- I work out for 45 minutes doing a variety of things, but I just log it as general aerobics and go by what mfp says it burns

it really depends on your dr. your ligaments and joints are loose after pregnancy--- you have to give you body time to heal, if not, you'll hurt yourself.

as long as you weigh at the same time of day each time, it should be accurate as far as showing weight loss/gain--- I used to weigh in the a.m. but now I count my afternoon weigh in's b/c that's when I weigh in with my trainer... it's just a personal choice.

wait until you get cleared from your doc to start back doing exercise-- you can google marathon training and there are all sorts of training schedules out there.. my hubby trained 16 weeks for his-- before that he was running about 4 miles a day for 5 days a week.

There are a lot of us here :-) Don't forget that if you are nursing, you shouldn't try to lose more than a pound a week, and that your body is still healing from having that baby :-)

I used to take pictures, not every month, but at significant amounts of weight loss or when I was feeling the need for motivation :-) A picture is worth a thousand words and I celebrate and share those pics :-) My fave thing to do was to take my largest pair of pants and used those same pants to show the difference in size…

net calories are what your body is getting after exercise etc for the day-- for example if breakfast was 300 calories and then you worked out and burned 150 calories, your net calories that your body has gotten is 150 or that is how I understand it

the one i hate the most.... oh you are losing weight b/c you are breastfeeding..... ummm no... I'm losing weight b/c i am writing down everything i put in my mouth and exercising and working my *kitten* off!!!!

I've started eating breakfast... but it's usually just cereal and I still end up with tons of calories for dinner-- I leave for work before 7, and am not awake enough to do anything more complicated than that in the a.m. :-)

before I got pregnant, I played on my own with my calories and found out that I would stall out at about 1480 calories--- I would lose the weeks I ate more but If I went below I wouldn't lose anything. I haven't found my happy calorie place while breastfeeding yet---- but I seem to be losing, so I'm doing okay right now...…
