Best time to weigh in?

Whats the best time of day to weigh yourself? I've been doing it in the morning before I eat anything but should I be doing it right before bedtime instead?

    I do it the same time as you do. I want to know what my body weighs, not what my body plus food weighs.

  • I'm a little scale obsessed but I usually weigh myself before bed, as well as when I wake up. NEVER right after a big meal though ;)
  • I also weigh in first thing in the morning. But I guess as long as you do it at the same time each weigh in, you will still know how much you lose.

    Wake up. Use the bathroom. Get naked. Step on the scale. :)

    as long as you weigh at the same time of day each time, it should be accurate as far as showing weight loss/gain--- I used to weigh in the a.m. but now I count my afternoon weigh in's b/c that's when I weigh in with my trainer... it's just a personal choice.

    Early morning + empty tummy + empty bladder + naked = best time/way to weigh yourself!

    I think it just depends. What works best for me is....get up, and weight about 30 minutes, then weigh. I don't like weighing at night at all!:noway: :noway:

    I weight in with a Wellness counselor every Wednesday at 11:45am. It works since it's so long after breakfast and right before lunch! I weigh in at home almost daily too (I know lol). I do it in the morning when I get up, before breakfast, butt naked.

  • Good question! I was wondering the same. I weigh myself in the morning, but I also do it out of curiosity throughout the day and it's usually around 2 lbs higher. I always go with my weight in the morning though!
  • First thing in the AM, empty stomach and bladder, and naked. I've always been told that this is the only time to get a truly accurate weight.

    I weigh in Thursdays after I wake up; be that in the morning after sleeping all night (like a normal person) or after I wake after going to bed after a night shift (usually around 3pm or so. Of course before even a sip of coffee!

    Not taking pictures at this stage of the game... maybe one day! :blushing:
  • I weigh myself in the morning after using the toilet, in my pyjamas.
    I think that is the best time to weigh, but if you were to do it at the same time every day regardless of what that time is, you would be likely to get a pretty accurate reading as its consistent.
