Hello, @tania7rosalina and @BlueberryWatermelon! I'm also in Montreal. Looking to connect with local MFPs and finding it quite difficult. :/ The groups some Montrealers started on here have been dormant for a while, but I'm hoping to find people who are interesting in getting together and doing fun things. Add me if you…

I'm here! Let's open this group back up!!!

Hi everyone! I live in the Plateau East. :) We should have a picnic at Laurier Park before the summer is over!
-
Try the 5:2 fasting schedule! It might help.

By the way I'm 5'5"

I'm laughing at this because it sounds funny to make peace with a weight loss goal by deciding it's no longer achievable. The truth is, you can do whatever you set your mind to. I'm 27 years old. I was 165lbs at 18 years old. I stayed around 125 in college, and I have managed to keep my weight below 130 since then (I…

Hi @ellencruz! I'm happy to bring you some support. I have just set a number of goals for myself for the month of August and will be happy to push through with you and meet some goals together! Feel free to add me! Best of luck (you CAN do it!)

Hey everyone! Checking in: I've lost 1.8 lbs since last week. On my way to losing the last stubborn 6lbs. Total weight loss goal for this month is 8lbs. Add me ! Happy to share tips and meet new people ! Liz

The 5:2 schedule has been researched for years with lab rats. The most important trends are higher metabolism, longer life and increased brain activity.

I'm in! How do we keep accountability, though?

I'm in! Add me! I am 5'5" and 128 lbs. Goal is to shred 9lbs for my race day (Sept 25, 2016) and maintain 120lbs after the race. I've started the 5:2 fasting schedule (5 days of 1200 net cal. and 2 days of 500 net cal). I REALLY NEED HELP SHREDDING! Setting a new PR during my upcoming marathon is so important to me and I…

Hi MzKrystle! I'm so glad you posted this! I was just looking for some people to fast with. I'm training for the Montreal Oasis Rock 'n' Rolls Marathon that will be held on September 25th this year. I need to lose 9 pounds in order to improve my PR. Anyway, I read so much about fasting twice a week and how healthy it is…

I have the same goal! Last year, my goal to run 1000 miles was cut short on Dec 16 when I twisted my leg falling on the ice. I'm back now, and I'll be taking much better care of myself to ease back into running. 1) My distance goal this year is to run 2014 miles (go figure)... 2) I will run the Color Run 5K (16 Aug), the…

Hi there! I feel your pain! Weight loss is definitely a test in itself. Two months ago, I fell and injured my knees while running in the icy snow. I couldn't work out at all and it was difficult to even walk anywhere. I usually eat ~2000 calories/day, so without exercise a rapid blowup was inevitable. I lost several months…

Sounds good! I've set a goal of 170 miles for this month. I ran 180 miles last month. Off to the ticker factory!

Your tattoo is shrinking! ;) You look great. Thanks for your inspiration. Keep up the good work! I'm proud of you!

YOU are FABULOUS!

Generally, I find that lack of sleep slows my metabolism, and I of course, don't have enough energy to workout as intensively as I normally would. So, I would say, adverse effects as a result of poor sleep habits.

What a treat!

Run 11 miles at 9 min/mi, biking 120 minutes at 12 mph, and 15-min Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce NTC workout. Woohoo!

For me it was a "eat to live" life style. I exercised hard enough so that I could enjoy whatever I wanted, however much I wanted. But then I realized that what I was eating also affected my ability to perform as well as I wanted, especially when running, i.e., time trials. So I started eating to live, and now I'm sort of…

Hi! Kudos to you for making this goal! I'm here to cheer you on! Good luck!

You're right! I didn't check out your diary, nor did I sense your sarcasm. I tend to be awful at that anyway. :) I was reading a post by someone who was preaching to his/her MFP pals about bad food. I guess I was still on my raving streak abotu how unnecessary it is to throw away perfectly delicious food.
