My favorite is the Walmart brand Clear American Ice in practically every flavor. I think they are $2.50 an 8 pack so it is similarly priced with soda. 3% juice, green tea, no aspartame.

We grow cayenne peppers and have good luck putting them in the dehydrator (as long as they are not frozen). Pretty easy - grab one out of the bag, crush it in your hand, and throw the pieces into the pot.

Start out slow on the shakes; they can cause a lot of gastro problems

I think posture could be the culprit. You could possibly have an inner ear type of problem (ie. vestibular migraine). If it keeps up and you feel you have addressed the muscular issue, you might consider seeing a good ENT doctor.

How easy (er...hard) is it to take apart a treadmill enough to fit it on a dolly and get it downstairs should the upstairs be too noisey
-
I wouldn't count it at all. I think you're doing yourself a disservice by doing so unless there is some sort of illness/injury that prevents you from doing too much. If you wash the car and log it, you're more apt to cut your real program shorter because you've earned it. In reality, there's no reason why you couldn't go…

I think you need to surround yourself with an atmosphere or scenery you like. Some people like the gym because they are people watchers. Some people would like running the city. I'd rather be running the parks. Figure out what you like and it will be much more enjoyable...well less bad lol

Provel is my crack. I eat about 1 1/2 pounds a week! :noway:

It is so hard to find a cute red head - but when you do, they take the trophy!!! Assuming it's easier to find a leprechaun than a cute ginger girl, I'll take the blondes
-
I wish they would have done that to me - a couple shots may have been all it took to get me over the edge If I was a professional athlete, I would have gotten a series of shots no questions asked.

As far as the sore throat goes, I use cough drops on cool evenings or under the fan at the gym. Might give it a try - just don't choke.
-
The problem with the stack machines and free weights is that they are often seperated from each other in the gym - at least in all 4 gyms I go to. I (being someone who is not social, want to do my thing, and get out) am left feeling uncomfortable being in that part of the gym that only the most ripped and most social…

Sounds like a good way to get sick  I'd use the eliptical

That could very well be true of the pills The instructions didn't mention anything though. I had looked at few pills before buying the liquid but didn't pay too close attention.

A have a similar problem. When I can burn 800 calories a day doing cardio, I can eat whatever I want. But I've had a bad back injury the better part of a year that has keep me from doing much. It's very hard to stick to a diet. I understand though it takes about 2 weeks for your body to recognize a routine change. So if…

Yeah, I've got a couple of those lumps - 2 in the back and 1 on the side of the hip
-
Has anyone ever used a "sacroiliac belt" to help support their back? Is that something that is meant to be worn or all day, and can you wear it when jogging/eliptical?
-
The chiropracter has helped significantly and I thought I was well on my way back to 100%. I pushed the issue too much at the gym. Then he fixed me up again and again I probably did too much too soon at the gym in terms of high resistance cardio. I think he'll be able to fix me up again in a couple of months but it would…

It's not bbq sauce, but Frank's Red Hot sauce has 0 calories. Lots of sodium and that hotness makes me more hungry...but that might be something to concider
-
Yardwork, chores, running around town like a chicken with it's head cut off, etc --- I don't concider that to count as calories burned
-
Saw a girl's pants fall down and she went flying off the treadmill. Then I slipped and came crashing down off the eliptical.

The scale is like my crack, I tend to weigh in 3 or 4 times a day :frown: The one that counts though is like a tue, wed, or thurs morning. It's mid week and any extra heavy food consumed during the weekend is out of the system.
-
That's been my experience as well. I don't believe diet soda in and of itself causes weight gain. Soda can trigger hunger but it can sometimes do away with hunger depending on the flavor - at least in my experience. Everyone makes fun of me drinking soda first thing in the morning at work. I always respond that diet…

I normally have a banana and light yougart, flavored oatmeal, or animal crackers.

A lot of people will disagree, but the Taco Bell bean burrito will fill you and only 340-370 calories.

I think the simple solution is to keep telling the customers no thanks. After a few different times you say no, they will take the hint and stop asking. Tell them, no thanks you're on a diet. This would be particularlly helpfully with regulars.

I had the other doctor in that office look at me yesterday. She said she thought it was actually just muscle in my lower back and glutes pulled. I had a massage therapist work on me and I'll likely go back later this week.
