  • Hey, you're doing it! That's great!
  • @SherryRueter Thanks for your kind words. :) Good idea, having some no pressure days, especially this time of the year. I think you handled the weekend very well. Love "Repeating my OLD loop is NOT working for me. I am CHOOSING to not repeat that pattern today. " Luckily I'm retired, so it's a matter of friends and family…
  • Kitri2020 - ".... allow my self to enjoy in moderation." So key to getting through the holidays. :)
  • My December Goal/s 2 strength workouts each week Don't know exactly yet how the week of Christmas is going to play out, so for the moment I'm only going to commit to strength workouts.
  • SherryRueter, I read your posts today and I see your progression right here. You SHOULD BE 100 % proud of yourself, you are doing great. I have to "talk" to myself. My mantra is, "OK, you've eaten all the calories your body needs to function today. " The rest is "So get out of the kitchen!" I'm in awe of your weight…
  • @Kitri2020 - That's the worst way to lose, isn't it? Hope you are better soon. @CeeBeeSlim - Lol about your kryptonite and little brothers!
  • It's hard at any time of the year, but especially during the holidays. But it can be done. Good luck!
  • Hello, just joined this group. Started MFP in 2012, reached my goal and have hovered around it since then. I'm finding though, that my waist line has grown and I'm down right uncomfortable with it. I looked at some "recomp" posts on the message boards and I'm going to see if I can't lose the fat and gain more muscle. It…
  • tinathescreamer - fantastic accomplishment! I hope you found some pants in your favorite color to celebrate!
  • All the above. Explanations and encouragement. I'm just going to add the obvious, Don't quit. Plateaus are aggravating but they don't last forever. Wishing you success. 👍
  • May be time to have a conversation with your doctor. They aren't all pill pushers. And they can steer you toward the best course for you. Hoping you are feeling better soon.
  • Good on ya! You've found what works for you. 😁
  • Me too. As of a few minutes ago, "green beans" do not exist on MFP.
  • You are so right! :)

  • Not sure why Fitbit is changing so much. I have a FitBit Alta, really ancient, but it's still going strong. But, FitBit decided to drop access to statistics by computer. Now everything must sync using a phone or tablet. Pretty sure it's just one more way for them to find your location and more about you so they can either…
  • Hello Hannah. I've been here a good while and met my goal years ago. Still here, still logging because this is the only thing that worked for me. I'd happy to offer support and motivation. Sending a friend request. 🙂 AnnofB
  • Hello, Just wanted to mention there are several PCOS groups here on MFP. Just click on Social Groups on the left side of the screen. I'm 5'2" and struggled for years. Met my goal in 2012 here on MFP. Glad to help if I can. Sending a friend request.
  • That's great! Just a few more pounds and your there. :)
  • So true. Really makes a case for weighing everything. In my state, food manufacturers have to meet the total weight of the product that is stated on the bag/box. They are not required to make every item in the bag the exact same size. As long as the total is met, they are in compliance with state law.
  • Yes. Heaviest weight: 183 lbs. Current weight: 124.2. In fact, this month makes it 10 years since I reached my goal. Up until I found MFP in 2012, I had lost weight but would regain and would try again. Many, many times. I think I owe my Pals (one in particular joined the same month I did all those years ago) a lot of…
  • All my life! I've probably lost and gained 1,000 lb's over my life. But, finally got a handle on things in 2012 here on MFP. I read a post here about reaching goal and maintaining that has helped me stay at my goal. The main thing is weigh yourself every week. Don't stop weighing even though you are not working your plan.…
  • That's great! You look amazing! You are one healthy looking lady. :)
  • You did it! You are so right, you don't have to be perfect. You just have to keep marching. Congratulations!

  • I don't think there's anything you missed in doing your best to deal with what's happening. And, you've hit that happy spot with your exercise and diet and it's paying off. I know that also helps in dealing with the menopause symptoms as well. (((Hugs)))
