It you're eating/drinking it, you should be counting it. They're not much, but they are something.

I'd say don't worry about it. MFP targets do have quite a bit of wiggle room, even if you're 3700 cals over, that still might only mean that your weight stays the same for that week. More likely, your instinct is to take it easy and not eat that much over. Just track as best, and as honestly, as you can (you can always…

I am, but I have no free time :p

And remember to change kilojoules into cals!

Any recipe that needs meat/beans/nuts will take them. My basic one is: a can of chickpeas, a bag of mesclun salad, and some lemon/lime juice. Drain can, empty into bag, squeeze in lemon juice, shake bag. Some black pepper or chilli powder goes great too. You can grab all of these from a supermarket in under 5 minutes, make…

I know exactly how this feels. I used to do the late night walks as well (often 3-4am), but they can be hard to get motivated about, and always being up that late is not at all good for you. I found that the insomnia was a product of my lifestyle, not just an isolated thing. There's plenty of bodyweight stuff you can do in…

The number MFP outputs is the target. So, your daily requirement might be 3000cal (say 2000 to run your body, and 1000 for being at work). You want to have a deficit of about 7,000cal per week/1000 per day to lose 1kg, so it sets up a daily target of 2000. Or obviously, whatever numbers it outputs based on your activity…

Kinda like tiny chewy seeds. Quite an earthy/nutty flavour too. Pre-washed quinoa is better (most should be, but not all) because unwashed has a soapy flavoured coating. Ceres Quinoa in the big supermarkets is fine to eat out of the bag.

I've been using the Harraway's porridge sachets (cheaper than Uncle Toby's & Kiwi made), with 1/2 a can Watties lite fruit salad (55kcal), and a tablespoon of raw quinoa (slows me down eating it).

Any bread. Mackenzie's is 156 per serve - which I didn't think was too bad - until I saw that 1 serve is 1 slice.

Nope, I think it's just a baseline thing - your body needs to maintain a constant temperature. Easy when the air is about 16-24 degrees, but when it's below that, your body needs to burn more energy. I think that it was more of a transition-shock, we went from a couple of weeks of 18-24* days down to 10-12* days, with some…

I use either "Calisthenics (pushups, sit-ups), vigorous effort" or "Calisthenics, home, light/moderate effort" depending on how I felt.

It's easy to get trapped in a downward spiral. I think the trick is to declare to yourself that you have gone as far down as you will, and that you start on the upward path immediately.
