Ditto.... I think this is the dumbest idea. If people want sugary drinks, they'll get them.

I'm 6' looking to get to 180-185. 20-25 lbs to go!

Never cut anything out, but I cut DOWN on fast food and cake.

Lookin' good!

I live in Big D!

Horseback riding. It's something I can enjoy while still burning calories.

Yes. Make sure you get the unsweet and make sure it says "almond milk" rather than "almond drink".
-
I love it. I use it to cook\bake and in oatmeal and cereal. I do not like to drink it, but I'm not a fan of drinking milk anyway. Have you tried lactose free milk?

I use a spibelt for my short runs to hold my inhaler. It fits my iPhone as well. It goes around your waist and is streamlined enough to fit under your shirt if you want. I don't notice that it's there. I got my from eBay.

You might try an energy product. My favorite so far is peanut butter flavored GU. I suggest taking it before you need it. If your "wall" is ten miles, you might take it 1 hour in and again (maybe) after another 45 minutes to an hour. Experiment on your training runs and see what works best. On my training runs, it takes me…

I wear makeup when I work out and I wear it to the barn. Sue me. If someone doesn't like the fact you are wearing makeup (or the fact that you aren't) they are not worth your time. It's not my place to judge. I've seen several ladies who are wearing cute clothes and full makeup and they are killing it in the gym. I dare…

I think it depends on how long you are out there. I'm a sub 3 half, so I am certainly going to use energy products. There are some seasoned, distance runners in my group and they use them. They are WAY faster than me. I would say it's a personal choice. It works for me, so I will contiune to use them.

I had pretty severe shin splints. I took two weeks off and began running again. I had slight pain, but not enough to stop me from running. I trained for a 15K without incident. I am training for a half and started to have some pain again. I bought a compression sleeve and made sure I stretch and use my foam roller. So far,…

My running shoe is a full size larger than my every day shoes. I wear Nike, which tend to run smaller anyway.
-
You should go a specialty store and get fitted, if you haven't already. You might find that the shoes you want, aren't what's best for your gait or foot. That happened to me.... Also, you need to give the salesperson your budget. Most reputable stores will find you a suitable shoe within you budget. Once you find a pair…

My runs begin prompty at 5:15 during the week. My motivation is that I do not want to burn extra energy trying to catch my running group.

You can walk even if there is a time requirement. I know a few people that walk half marathons and finish within the time limit.
-
I've been doing run\walk for almost a year and I love it! I have certainly gotten faster without really trying. There are some wicked fast run\walkers! One of my coaches always told us not to let anyone say we aren't real runners.
-
Up by 4:15. I go to bed at 9. I suck at sleeping, so sometimes 9 is too early.

Mine are True Religion, 7FAMK and Paige. I do like the fit of Levi's, but they do not make them long enough.
-
I use Zensah coupled with stretching and foam rolling. So far, so good. I have not had any issues with my shins since I began using them.

I take Stingers before I run. If it's especially hot (which it tends to be in Texas), I'll take a Gu as well. After that, I take a Gu every 40mins to an hour. I always have water with me and usually drink every walk break. I do run\walk. For my half marathons, I always take Stingers and Gu before and every 40mins after…

I wish I wouldn't have run the hills like I did the flat! There were a ton of hills in the middle of my frst half. I paid for it at the end. I felt great during the race, but I was rather hobbled after. I barely made it back to the train. That was the beginning of my shin splints. Also, I wished I had known how fun ti…

I don't have much to offer, but have fun. I treated my first half like it was just another Sunday run. I had the BEST time. My goal was to finish, but I wanted to finish in under 3 hours. That goal was based on my training run time. I finished in (run\walk)2:43 and some change. Good luck!

Muscle milk is the only "special" item I have after a training run. After races, I'll indulge in the after race goodies. ;-)

I know someone who is competing in dressage. So exciting!

I used Interval Run.
