I'm giving up what my friend called anything nice ;-), which is chocolate, cakes, biscuits, sweets and crisps!! The thing that's going to hurt the most is crisps the other I can survive with.

I don't see why you can't, I use mine for running, exercise bike, workout DVD's, and i'm still losing weight. Interestingly my calories for running got me more from my HRM, but when using my execise bike i got less, than the MFP rate.

I use the notes on my iPhone, so I just delete and add a few things each week.

Hazelnuts, Walnuts and Brazil nuts, i guess i go a little NUTS!!! This is usually to make up my 1000 or so calories I have over at the end of each day.

all you need is weights, and a mat, but i just do it on the floor.

I use my HRM for running, it's typically in the 160 range when I run, 5 minutes after I've run it goes back to 90ish. Sometimes when my strap isn't tight enough it reads to low, I've never had it read higher though. What's your resting heart rate?

When I started I logged how many minutes walking and how many minutes running, which took a little longer to workout than I expected. Now i've got a HRM, so it does it all for me

No gym here also, started C25K training 3 months ago and now starting 10K training. I've got an old exercise bike for when it's raining, and also started the 100 push-up plan.

The main things I avoided were crisps and chocolate, I sometimes have them in moderation as a treat. But the most important thing is weighing all your food, and if you feel hungry, just have some fruit. After the first 3 weeks I stopped feeling hungry, which surprised me. Good luck.

I weigh at night because I know I'll be 2 lbs lighter in the morning so it gives me a head up for my morning weigh-in.

Well done that's excellent, I was told by my pharmacist lose 10% of your weight and live 10 years longer, which really inspired me to lose the pounds.

I've lost almost 10 kilos in 5 weeks, but I guess it depends on what your starting weight is.
