Sometimes a "no thank you" isn't enough, especially for home-made treat pushers...I just accept the gift, say 'thank you" and chuck in the garbage as soon as they are gone. Of course later I tell them how delish everything was =)

I put the drinks and soups in a large mason jar....screw down the lid and shake like hell!!! Seems to work so far =)

I started on Monday, today is the morning of day 4 and already -5.8. Super easy to do, don't feel hungry at all. I think it's easy to stick to because I am finally ready to do this for myself and no one else!! Feel free to friend me, can use all the support I can get! TGIF ladies!

Good carbs = fruit & veggies Bad carbs = pasta, breads, beans, cakes, chips etc. Simple recipes = Some form of real protein (steak, chicken, bacon, seafood), steamed veggies and a touch of cheese, wrapped in romaine leaves, or stuffed into another veggies. Think zucchini/eggplant boats. You could do a chicken enchilada…

Anthony...ditto! Harder to not have the cocktails with the girls, I mean I don't want to be a homebody and drinking iced tea is kinda lame...still working on it.

Love those Bumblebee easy peel tuna cups (lemon pepper is my fave), they are shelf stable and delish. I also second the notion of just rolling some nitrate/hormone free uncured deli meats around cheese slices, maybe add some olives and/or hard boiled eggs and do sort of a plowman's picnic luncheon. Good luck!

Every Sunday I make 1 doz. hard boiled eggs. On Monday I bring in 10 eggs and a 10 ct. pkg. of Babybel light cheeses. For lunch, I eat two eggs, two cheeses and half a bag of steamed veggies (steamed the night before at dinner). Sprinkle on some spices and YUM! Bonus: instant portion control...my downfall!

Doing a kettle bell routine is a challenge for anyone, depending on the weight, but it's also quiet, your housemates will thank you!

Spark-people is a lot like MFP, and they provide you with a changeable meal plan right in your food log journal. Good luck!
