Hi, fellow yogi/runner over here! Trying to get back into it after falling off the wagon hard. Will be adding you shortly!

Thank you, I'll definitely try a mat cleaner! I've actually never cleaned this mat (I know, gross) and I've had it for forever, so that might do the trick and save me some money!

Lose Yourself, by Eminem. Gets me through EVERY run!

Wow, that's amazing! I like vinyasa as well, that's the kind of yoga my studio focuses on, and it's what I've always been drawn to. I know in the past yoga has helped with my back problems from scoliosis, I hope it's able to do that again this time around.

I started with a similar program on my phone and found it moved too slow for me. I started just running as much as I could and walking when I needed to for about 1.5 miles. Once I did 2.5 miles. Physically, I know I can do 3.1. Mentally, it's still a battle.

What shoes are you wearing? Were you fitted at a specialty store? I know people on mfp must be sick of hearing this, and I didn't believe it myself until I did it, but getting fitted for good shoes is crucial to running pain and injury free. So if you haven't gone to your local running store (you can find one online if you…

So a running store can fit you for other athletic shoes as well? I wouldn't know because when I was fitted I didn't ask, I knew that running would be my primary form of exercise. I'll have to go to Jack Rabbit and ask some questions about what other gear they have available.

I asked a similar question and someone on here (wish I could remember who) said sometimes for shorter runs all you have to do is get out there and run, without a training plan. Start of with, say, a mile. Run as much of it as you can and see how you feel after. If you had trouble, scale it back to half a mile and work your…

I didn't give the name because the program I'm using now is only accessible by iPhone, not Android. It's called 5k Runner and I don't know anyone else that uses it, but it's very similar to Couch to 5k. The other program (that tells you how many miles to run) is Beginner 5k and it's on the Runkeeper app. Again, haven't…

I might do something like this. I found a program on my Runkeeper app that focuses on mileage rather than time spent running. I know I can run more than this other app is telling me to run, so maybe this is the answer?

I don't know if this will make you feel better, but when I was a teenager I had a HORRIBLE experience at Victoria's Secret as well. They don't properly train their associates for bra measuring and such, and they can be VERY rude and condescending. I was in there to get some new bras with my mom, and at first the associate…

I have to respectfully disagree with this. 1. You can't assume someone's out of shape just because they're doing the C25k. There are people who are excellent in other aspects of fitness (biking, elliptical, weights) who for whatever reason are just not good at running and want to start slow. And even if the OP is out of…

Well, I definitely can't run a 5k distance yet -- I can't even run a mile without struggling, lol. I guess I will stick to my app and try to be more patient.

The best yoga pants I've got came from Macy's, and they couldn't have been more than $20. They've also got really cute tanks, leggings, and shorts, and there's ALWAYS something on sale, so you don't have to pay retail price. Surprisingly, the Gap also has some good workout gear, and they're even cheaper! Just got a top and…

In the mornings, I use Lush's Herbalism scrub to wash my face, then their Tea Tree Toner, and lastly their Enzymion moisturizer to balance my skin and prime for makeup. At night, the scrub might be the same one as the morning, or it may be the Lush Ocean Salt scrub, depending on the day and the condition of my skin. I use…

Lol, I LOVE that scene!!!!

I use Runkeeper as well! It's so helpful for seeing my progress and getting a feel for where I'm at.

Nice!!! I'm a little afraid of sprinting, it reminds me of high school PE, lol. But my 5k training program involves some speedwork in the upcoming weeks, so I'll be doing something similar to that soon!

Great job! I'm going to try to use these tips in my running, I haven't been paying as much attention to form as I should. :)

Circuit training is pretty much what I do to add resistance work to my routine. I just do it on on my off days from running and then take at least one day a week off to rest completely from exercising.

Hi there! I'm 197 right now, so I'm pretty much where you're at. Feel free to add me. :)

I've always used Under Armour (I'm a 36 DD at the moment) and they hold EVERYTHING together, plus they keep me dry and feel super comfortable! They are expensive, around $60, but it's worth it if you're large chested and really need the extra support.

Finishing up my Bachelor's in History with a minor in English. Planning to get my doctorate and become a professor! :)

The people who are going to tell you "just push through it" probably don't have cramps as bad as yours. I get what you're saying because I've had cramps so bad I couldn't move or speak. And talking to your doctor doesn't usually help, either -- I don't have PCOS or any other disorder, I just have really bad periods and…

I suffer from depression and anxiety as well. how long have you been working out? My advice would be to stick with it and see if things improve. The first few days you won't necessarily feel the effects, but eventually if you're putting in the effort and doing something you enjoy, you will get a nice boost from it. Mind…

Aww, don't sulk, if you lost 62 lbs. you obviously know what is right for your body and your needs. I haven't gone above 5lb. dumbells yet, but they help me achieve my goals and I do lose weight using them. Different things work for different people. Don't let the heavy lifting crowd make you feel bad about YOUR workouts…

I don't think it was fair to comment on the model's fitness level. Lots of women don't want to be muscular -- and no I don't mean "bulky" or "manly." I mean they don't necessarily want the kind of arms and legs that a lot of the women on this site seem to be shooting for. Some people like to lift light with their girly…
