Our hunting season up here is the fall, with a spring turkey hunt so I cut, wrap, and freeze all my meat. Every week my wife will pull steaks or ground meat out for the week. What do you hunt? I am guessing deer, turkey, and hogs.

It definitely worked before. I had my calorie budget. If I knew I wanted to eat more at supper, I'd just workout more so I could get those calories back. I didn't cut out certain foods, but it made me concious of what I was putting in my mouth. Just time to get back to it. I just remember how hard it was at times. I'd go…

Like most have said, sounds like shin splints. Ibuprofen, ice, and stretch your calves whenever you can. Once those muscles are developed, you won't have any more problems, but until then, ice and stretch. You can work through it, You'll notice that once you start exercising and get warmed up, the pain goes away.

I was 255 last summer when i started riding my hybrid. Built up enough endurance and was doing 25km rides. Mid August bought a road bike and can't wait for this spring to get out and ride. 4 more months... It's probably the lowest impact sport you could do other than swimming. Easy on the joints and knees, not so easy on…

I eat venison and moose 2-3 a week. Best way to cook it is medium rare. I like to apply all kinds of spices before cooking, a touch of oil, and pan fry it or bbq. When I pan fry, I have a tendancy to slice real thin. Ground venison I use in everything that asks for ground beef. Chili, spagetti, shepards pie,…

I own a maple sugar bush - please store your syrup in the fridge. I go one step further and I freeze mine. takes mere minutes in a pot with hot water to thaw and be ready to serve.

I've got some nice deer chops in the fridge right now ready to be cooked up in about an hour or so. A little salt and pepper, fire up the grill, serve rare (med rare for the boss). Add a potatoe and some cauliflower and we're done.

Man, I wish I lived with a bunch of college girls.

Great thred. I was just having this discussion with a colleague. I tend to do way more cardio than any strength training and I may just have to shift a little of my focus.

The human body is easily trained at becoming effecient. It is why some skaters skate with no effort, skiers ski with no second thought...you've trained your body to run and by doing the same thing over and over, your running is now easy. This is awesome. The problem is that the amount of energy required for you to go on a…

Not sure where you live, but a lot of towns/cities now have ladies rec hockey for beginners. I have a bunch of girlfriends that joined and they love it. Good fun, great workout, and still that competitive aspect.

Can't leave this post - keep thinking of pie.

If I was on death row, my last meal would be - you guessed it - pie. Peach pie with a cobbler crust on top...

Forgot to mention, I LOVE PIE

An ode to pie - hilarious... True Story - I grew up and never ever had a birthday cake. I was the only kid at school that got a birthday pie. Almost 40 and I still get a birthday pie from my mom. Pie has fruit, fruit is healthy. Makes an awesome breakfast. I've often substituted pie for veggies and meat...

Yes it is. When you run, especially if you push yourself like you say, then your muscles end up with microscopic tears. These tears are great because they heal and make you stronger, but you need time to heal. If you've been at it for awhile, why don't you incorporate a training program into your everyday life. Do a bit of…

I've got just the one. Did it this fall as a mid life crisis thing. Moose antlers with a peach in the middle.

Years ago I joined a aerobics class with all girls. Didnt take long for my buddy to join me...probably the best way to pick up great girls.

I can't beleive you can wear cold gear while running. I wear that stuff hunting in cold temps, but I am standing still. I find the Cold Gear way to warm to run in...mind you I am in Northern Canada so probably used to the cold. I run in temps that would freeze the nads off an eskimo and wear regular shoes and socks.

I was wearing a real nice cologne one night, and a girl asked "What do you have on?" I replied "A hard on, but I didn't think you could smell it!"

If I am just looking at photos of women, I prefer the athletic look. I love a runners body because I love calf muscles. Weight does not seem to matter, as I don't enjoy looking at thin women with no tone. Basically if you can wear Lululemon, ya got me.

Panties and a half opened shirt with no bra....ba da boom ba da bing

Body Glide - hint though, get the ladies version, there's more on the stick. I also run in under armour shirts now and no longer need the glide. P.S. Don't use lube, you'll just get yourself excited and you'll end up not leaving the house and trying to "run" all over your lady.

Natural - but that does not mean hair...
