This is a copy and paste from another mommy blog- I cant vouch for all the medicinal claims but I know I love this smoothie! I dont strain mine, though, I drink the pulp too... so here it is.... The SINGING CANARY strikes again! This time it pecks off fat and helps reveal a leaner you. It sings a happy anthem of golden…

If you could squeeze in a 20 minute walk on your lunch break, or 10 minutes of stair climbing or other type exercise (jumping jacks, jump rope) that might add to your progress too! Sounds like really, really long days!

OK, Ill bite, Sara! Here are just a few links, I think the first one gives a fairly balanced approach. This is not really an area of my personal "knowledge" my main personal experience was really the experience of fighting a different bodily imbalance and having success with eliminating (in my case actually all) sugars for…

Nope, didnt say "causes". And said, "thought to" However, this is a good reminder to me to use careful word choices in posts! For instance should have been using the term "refined sugars" as I am huge fan of veggies and fruits! :) Buuuut, at the risk of further offense.... I still stand by my thought that a diet high in…

Having breastfed several more children than you, I can say I do realize what mammary glands produce. I even can tell you that cows milk is different than breastmilk! wow! One of my children had severe blood in their stool until I eliminated dairy. Sooo.. again... personal experience here: no sugar, no yeast overgrowth. My…

I will tell you from my experience it was a little more than a week. Maybe 2. And I would like to tell you my personal reason at the time for doing so. I had a baby and neither she or I could get over thrush. Yeast overgrowth from breastfeeding, on nipples and in baby's mouth. We tried RX treatments, many rounds, natural…

So I am at the playground the other day with my kids. Another mom asks me, "Are they all yours?" "Yes. All four are mine", I reply. Her next question as she looks at my stomach...."And is that a baby belly?" (as in are you pregnant?). "No", I smile trying to be gracious, "That is the remains of baby bellys and what I am…

I am 5'5" usually am in the 120 range. Looking to focus less on number on scale and more on body fat % though. I think I am at 23% and my goal is 20%.

Thanks! And it is hard when there are physical complications to body shape! Hope your mom gets support for her situation!

Good for you! Sugar causes insulin spikes and can create artificial dips and rises in hunger and energy. I use truvia, which is a stevia product. I also use a non-sweetened vanilla almond milk- 30 cal per cup and lots of calcium.

So I have heard that your plan of slowly adding calories, such as 100 daily cals per week (1400 a day one week then 1500 a day the next week) is a good way to go. Also I would really encourage you to make your calories clean foods. Nia Shanks talks alot about this. In fact I linked to an article that she did- and she has…

You need to rinse quinoa before cooking. It helps with the kind of bitter taste it can have.

I would probably point you to heybales spreadsheet for calculating calories, taking measurements etc. I would probably not eat back exercise calories at this point. I would keep it up and understand you are trying to make a long term lifestyle change. I happen to be an advocate of eating from the perimeter of the store....…
