I've had mine set to 1/2lb per week since I started and have lost 35lbs altogether. I am on maintenance now and still have it set at the 1/2lb loss, but now am eating most of my exercise calories back (previously eating only about 1/2 of them back) and have been maintaining this weight for 8 months. On days when you are…

Monday to Friday I run 5k daily, Saturday I run a slow 10k, and Sunday is my day off from cardio.

I do this all the time, I listen to Jim Rohn's Best Life Ever while walking. Like Bucky83 said, just search youtube to mp3 converter and go from there.

Depending on what you set your weight loss goal to, MFP already has a deficit built into your day so you are only over your goal and not over your maintenance. For example, if you are set to lost 0.5lb per week, then MFP has set your goal at 250 cals less than maintenance so you're not going to gain weight by being 30 over.

I had my first at 34 and the second at 38 with a miscarriage in between. The second pregnancy was much harder on my body, not sure it if was because of age though: permanent "morning" sickness for the first 6 months then heartburn for the next 3, fluid build up in my legs and ankles (my feet permanently went up a 1/2…

I've had these before, so yummy! Made some on the weekend using leftover spaghetti squash instead of zucchini - also delicious, couldn't stop myself from eating the whole batch :)

Raspberries, strawberries, rhubarb, peas, carrots, potatoes, green beans, zucchini, spaghetti squash, onions, lettuce and tomatoes are my usual. But we are still a month from planting here.

EA Sports Active 2 has much better options, esp for cardio. I did the 9 week program to start, then set up my own work outs that I still do a year later. I like the Wii Fit Plus, do lots of the balance games with my kids, but the EA is more of a work out for me.

I love overnight / refrigerator oatmeal, had pumpkin pie flavour for breakfast today at 260 cals: 1/4 c oats 1/2 c almond milk 1 tablespoon Holy Crap cereal / chia seeds 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree 1 tablespoon brown sugar / honey / maple syrup 1 tablespoon raisins Lots of great recipes for overnight, baked, bars, cookies…

I like to snack on dry Multigrain Cheerios at night while watching tv, or Kashi Go Lean Crunch with fruit and vanilla greek yogurt. I prefer oatmeal for breakfast.

Switch from "diet" bread to regular whole grain bread, replace the non-fat yogurt with regular yogurt will give you a good start.

Health Canada's online nutrient file has a searchable database. http://webprod3.hc-sc.gc.ca/cnf-fce/index-eng.jsp

I filled a backpack with hardcover books, and wear that to do squats, lunges and step ups. Just keep adding books!

At the point where he said it was up to me, I would have made a choice of something that I liked instead of letting him pick. When he is the one out picking up the food then he can choose the restaurant.

I like to stir fry onions, peppers, and spinach in some oil, then toss in the "spaghetti" from my oven cooked squash with salt and pepper. Sometimes will also add chicken to the stir fry or other veg, depending on what is in the fridge that day.

I use sugar, since I only have 1 or 2 cups per day the 15 cals per is not a big deal.

Every pair of AFOs I've ever seen had straps to hold them on. The problem with going without shoes is that the AFO is made of hard plastic and slippery. My daughter had one pair that had a foam heel built up on the bottom of them so she could go in a stander without shoes, otherwise she has always worn shoes over the top…

My oldest daughter wears AFOs and finding shoes is a hassle! Stride Rite has good shoes for AFOs, and also Hatchback shoes (we order from Armbraces.com), and Keeping Pace makes shoes and boots for AFOs although I don't know how small they come. Once in a while we'll have luck finding a regular pair of shoes that go over…

Don't try to do everything at once. Set reasonable goals as they are easier to stick with. For example, don't go from eating 3000 cals and never exercising to 1200 cals and 2hrs of cardio 7 days per week as you won't stick with it.

I like lunchbots.com, I also use silicone baking cups inside larger tupperware containers to partition things out.

I think you should defintitely count it as exercise and eat back at least some of those calories. You could use even a cheap pedometer to measure how many steps you take in a shift to give you an idea of how many calories you're burning.

If you've had a big melt recently I would look out for melt that has refrozen under the fresh snow that you can't see. I don't run in fresh snow here for that reason, I like to be able to see the path so I can avoid potential trouble spots.

I usually take my kids tobagganing, and since my 10yr old can't walk I have to pull her up the hill after each run. Great workout!

I have never tried Visalus or Slim Fast, but I do have a meal replacement shake from another company for breakfast once or twice per week. I do this on days when I don't have time to eat breakfast, because the shake is quick easy and a better choice than the other kinds of things I used to grab on the go. I prefer to eat…

Is management where you want to be? If so, then it is worth scheduling a sit down with your CMO to discuss. Ask for an honest critique of your 8 months as manager, the good and the bad. Let the CMO know that you want to work your way back into that position, and find out what areas you need to improve on for them to…
