  • There's a really active DDPY group on facebook where there is tons of inspiration and a lot of good people. Highly recommend :)
  • I lost 75 lbs pretty easily on keto, but my weight has been stagnant the past 8 mos or so... which is why I’m back here after years. I decided to bite the bullet and start tracking calories/macros to see if I can figure out why I’m just maintaining. Best of luck and welcome to the keto lifestyle!
  • Thanks for the recipe, I will have to give this one a try!
  • Im not sure on this, but I think that building muscle DOES help. I've also heard that dry brushing your skin can help (although it can be a little bit weird). Also there are some essential oils which are really beneficial to the skin for example, cypress oil and frankincense oils both promote cell regeneration and may help…
  • Brussel sprout gag. Those are AWFUL. I also hate olives and sweet pickles but I dunno if those count.
  • Ive done Leslie Sansone before, but I also like the T-Tapp Step Away the Inches, it really works the hips and outer thighs! Awesome!
  • I hear ya, I was there just a month ago, I guess the only advice that I can give is to do something. Anything at all. It's better than what you are doing now and a step in the right direction. Track your calories - even if you didn't eat "healthy", that way you know what you're up against calorie-wise and where you are…
  • Basil is also wonderful in spring rolls. Take rice paper wrappers and fill with fresh veggies, basil and cooled cooked shrimp. Dip in either soy or mix soy with a little peanut butter & a little water to make a super fast super easy peanut sauce

  • Awesome! Congrats! How long did it take you from when you started running to work up to a 5k?
  • Hola :) Welcome!

  • I think its normal.... I've heard the same about the first 10 minutes of running.... it just takes that long for your body to get in it's groove :)
  • Hi! I've never been tested for Celiac but I'm definitely gluten intolerant. I just started eating GF in Jan, add me if you want, we can give each other pointers :)
  • I try. I tend to weigh considerably more that most people in my size so I try to focus on the size I wear instead of the number of pounds on the scale. Sometimes the scale still messes with my head though but I really try hard not to let it :)
  • haha yay TLC, and Salt N Pepa and En Vogue :) Those were the days :) But... I think when I was 17 I listened to metallica I had a horribly ugly faded silver 1980 Buick Skylark with only an AM radio We called it the nerd mobile :) I was a total band geek oh and when I was 17 I went away to college to get a degree in music…
  • I don't think MFP is a diet at all... its just a tool to help you learn to make healthy choices for yourself. It helps you track the calories you are eating and makes you more aware of the things you are putting into your body. Like people always say, its about progress and not perfection. One of the most inspiring people…
  • Hi - Congrats on taking the first step, just remember, every day you have the choice to do healthy things for yourself. Just make it happen... baby steps compound and will go a long way. As far as eating on a budget these are things I ALWAYS have in my kitchen (Although I dont eat gluten so some of it might seem odd to you…
  • I agree - the only one you are cheating is yourself when you don't. Plus often times, it's not nearly as bad as you originally thought it was :)
  • If you dont like celery, why eat it? There are tons of other veggies out there you can add into your diet in the place of celery. I think life is too short to force yourself to eat something you hate. I dont eat brussel sprouts but I dont see this as a problem. at all :) just my two cents :)
  • Do you like hot cereals? I love brown rice farina (think cream of wheat) with an egg in it. you can always go for meat and veggies for lactose free/ GF. Also rice is GF, so rice with veggies, or a stir fry (made with GF soy sauce - be careful most soy sauces have gluten in them). Also fajitas on corn tortillas is a yummy…
  • I'm gluten free and often have the same problem. There is hidden gluten everywhere! I glutened myself the other day with some imitation vanilla extract (it had caramel color in it, which often contains gluten). So frustrating! I feel your pain!
  • Hey - Just go into your check-in area and there is a spot near the bottom to edit previous entries. This will let you delete out the old lower numbers and start fresh. It will also realign your ticker. Sorry to hear about your loss :( Good luck in your journey!
  • My sister showed me these earlier today and I thought I'd take the time to stop by the post to tell you that you look amazing! Congratulations on your success thus far and soon enough you will have reached all of your goals :)
  • Congrats! You look awesome!
  • I think you should download "Lets get physical" by Olivia Newton John. I'm pretty sure that deep down it's your favorite song. hahaha :)
  • I say go to a chocolate or candy store where you can buy them by the piece and just pick out one or two pieces. That way you get your fix and are not left with a bunch of chocolate at home you have to resist :)
  • I have no clue, but I generally log it as calisthenics because I'm not sure how else to count it. Happy to see a fellow t-tapper!

  • Single is the way to be yo
  • I love to stream the rice then add peas, carrots, broccoli, onions, a clove of minced garlic, shrimp and gluten free soy sauce along with a little ginger and black pepper then throw it all in a frying pan with just a bit of EVOO to make a delicious homemade fried rice. Its one of the easiest and tastiest meals I've found…
  • oh I DO hate you. So not fair! haha. Just kidding! Congrats! :)
  • Have you tried icy hot or tiger balm or something similar? I know a lot of it smells bad but it's really helped me on my sore days and its topical instead of a pill :)
