  • Glad to so many are still on the "Mission to a Healthy You" journey. September was a challenge on many different fronts. The MFP app on my phone no longer links to my computer, and the program in partially working on my computer. I will continue to try to get things resolved and definitely want to stay in the group. I…
  • The past couple of weeks have been tough. MFP stopped working and I wasn't able to track/log food, and while that isn't my excuse, I really just got off plan. Anyway, I am back, the MF staff got me back online, and I am looking forward healthier eating and some weight loss. Hope you are all "on track" and enjoying your…
  • Down 4 lbs, my goal was 8 lbs. I'm all in for September and my goal for the month will be 5 lbs (but trying for more). Hope this new goal is more realistic and I will be able to meet it. Glad to see so many of you did so well!

  • (((Yes))) I have been reading so many of your NSV posts, admiring your successes and just wishing I could have one myself. Today I have one! I was able to wear a shirt today that I have not been able to wear in months and it wasn't tight!
  • August 1 starting weight 175 August 8 weight 173.5 fingers crossed for continued weight loss this week. ;-) Love following all your posts, you all inspire me to stay on track. Thx!
  • Great weekend, celebrating my DD's birthday, she is such a joy in ours lives. And...was successful with my food, ate exactly as planned! Now a new week and hopefully a new weight loss. Have a great new week everyone!
  • Ok, the weekend is here. Sunday is birthday celebration, we are bringing in wonderful grilled burritos from a local Taqueria and ice cream birthday cake! My plan is to eat half the burrito and a super small piece of cake, then workout. Fingers crossed, determined to have a successful weekend. ;-)
  • I'm sure your friend is thankful for your friendship and caring support. Take good care of yourself this weekend, you can do this...home, supper, bed and sweet dreams!
  • It's so hard to eat healthy while on the go and working. I made up your chopped veggie salad this week and didn't put any dressing on it. I have used it in a lot of different ways, salads, wrapped in a tortilla, in scrambled eggs, it's great! I think you will have to plan ahead and keep healthy options within reach. I…
  • I agree, I tend to do a lot of pre-bedtime work and I of course that's when I am on the tired-side, so I find myself eating to get the energy to finish everything I want to get done. I'm working on getting the evening chores done earlier so I can just go to bed. Night time eating is so challenging!
  • Wow, thank you to those who welcomed me to your group. Your weight loss support, advice and mottos are really positive. DJ, you are lovely! I will hold all you who are struggling with life's challenges in my prayers; it's wonderful to find such support here.
  • I'm in for the weekend challenge! Will start thinking about my plan and post it on Friday.
  • I love all your NSV comments, good for all of you. I will try to find one this week myself. Now on to tomorrow and more successes!
  • Hi, I'm Shirley from Northern California. I clicked on the "Community" tab (for the first time) a little over a week ago and found a whole new world of support and friendship! Your group is so positive and I really appreciate the comments you have posted. I think I will be the Senior of your group (but I am an…
  • "A bit lighter and a lot fitter," wow, I love the positive sound of that! Let's do it!
  • This is my first experience with a MFP group and I just want to thank you for all your work in putting this together for us. Welcome August!!!
  • Oh so many obstacles, good for you for over-coming and meeting your weight loss challenge. Good luck, MFP is great support.
  • Yes, I'm a Christian in the house. "Live Out Your Faith with Fitness" is a plan I found in the You Version Bible app. It's uplifting to get "fit support" from our Lord, as well as friends on MFP. Hebrews 12:12 "Therefore strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees."
  • Take a look at the MFP group "Mission to a Healthier You," we will be setting goals, tracking, and supporting each other beginning August 1st. This will be the first group I have joined and I look forward to making MFP friends and reaching goals. Feel free to send a friend request to me if you want.
  • Current Weight: 175 Overall Goal: 145 August Goal: 167 August Goals: Exercise daily
  • It looks like I am going to be the "senior" in this group! I'm Shirley, 68 years old and live in northern California. Looking at losing 30 lbs. and working to make the 15 minute mile with Runkeeper (I am currently making a 19 minute mile, so have a ways to go). The plan is to join my kids and grandkids in the "Santa Run,"…
  • Thank you! Such good information.
  • I am so glad to read that many of you have lost weight once you started MFP. I did not have any weight issues until the doctor put me on Thyroid meds, now I am 30+ lbs. over weight and have not been able to lose; I just kept gaining. The doctor has adjusted the meds again and I think they may be correct now. Looking…
  • "Just for today" I really like that! Thank you for the motivation.
  • We are in a heat-wave, it's 105 degrees! I'm not heating up the kitchen, we are having Tuna Salad with light dressing and multigrain crackers. Note off subject: Prayers for those surrounded by fires and wind in our area will be appreciated.
  • Good for you! You are so inspiring!
  • Oh, I also just found your thread and really like the monthly goals and the support of those who are posting. I am new to the boards, not real sure how this works, but hope to join in and be a part of this.
