  • Hope things improve soon! I'm also curious about the knee brace. Anyone? I feel like my knee pain is because the stabilising muscles/tendons/whatever (memory of first year anatomy is failing me) aren't strong enough. I also know my quads are a lot stronger than my hamstrings which causes an imbalance.
  • That's awesome! I hope I'm able to say the same thing...
  • I'm on week 8 and loving it. Feel free to add me for some support. All the best with the program! :)
  • These are the exact thoughts I need to hammer into my head! So glad to have you all for support! :)
  • I'm really sick of cardio 2 - it's so hard for me. I only have to do it twice more which is great, but then I have to start doing cardio 3. I have taken a sneak peak at the workouts in phase 3 and I'm just sitting here wondering to myself how I will ever be able to do them, even with modifications. I am now 3 days past…
  • WO10 looks weirdly fun to me. I'm sure that's just because I haven't done it yet. Also I'm scared for cardio 3. It looks insane! I'm doing cardio 2 today and that concludes week 7 (I'm a few days behind) Then one more week of WO7 & WO8 & Cardio 2 and then I'm officially done with phase 2. I'm terrified for phase 3 although…
  • I don't think I hate workout 7 as much as I hated workout 5. I feel insane for saying that.
  • LOL I literally spent ten minutes trying to work out what that word was supposed to be and why on earth it was censored! Hahahaha so ridiculous!
  • WO9 sounds absolutely awful and I'm going to pretend I didn't read any of that. On the other hand, congratulations on your losses! You're making such good progress. Can't wait to post my end of phase 2 results soonish :)
  • Eat more. If you're going over your calories all the time, give yourself a bigger allowance. It also helps me to eat small snacks through the day rather than 2 or 3 massive meals. Also vegetables. Lots and lots of vegetables. They fill you up and have hardly any calories.
  • I'm on week 7 and absolutely loving it! There is a set schedule. It is as follows: Mon: Workout 1 Tues: Workout 2 Wed: Cardio 1 Thurs: Workout 1 Fri: Workout 2 Sat: Cardio 1 Sun: Rest If you want to keep running, I would suggest not doing Jillian's cardio DVD and doing your running on cardio days instead. A lot of people…
  • I agree with this 100%. I'm on week 7 and still can't do real pushups. By the end of week 8 I probably still won't be able to do them but I'll go on to week 9 anyway. I want to keep challenging my body, not sticking with the same workout because of a few moves that I have to modify. I don't see modifying as cheating or…
  • Congratulations! That is absolutely amazing! It must be so exciting to only have one phase left to go. I can't wait to finish the next week and a half so I can be at the same point. Keep us posted on your results - it's awesome seeing everyone's progress and I'm sure your hard work is paying off big time! :)
  • Thanks everyone for the replies. I think I'm settled on T25 with a second round of BR to follow it. photojunk I agree - I need the DVD to go the whole way through or I just fail to keep myself motivated. Good luck everyone with whatever it is you decide to do. I look forward to hearing lots of success stories after JMBR…
  • I agree with this 100%. In most workouts I dislike there's always that one circuit that I can deal with pretty easily and get a second to breathe. In workout 7 it's ALL bad! And I agree that 8 isn't that bad. I think I actually kind of enjoyed it!
  • Is it just me or is workout 8 strangely easy? Don't get me wrong, I'm exhausted and my whole body will be in serious pain tomorrow. But this is NOTHING compared to workout 7. I actually feel like I kept up with WO8 better than I did with WO6. The second and third circuits were tough for me but definitely doable. I found…
  • I was having an awful day and I'm now laughing too hard to possibly be upset.
  • I don't see anything wrong with putting "Food provided. Drinks at bar prices." on the invite. Have received this many times and don't really object to it. A lot of people will come just to get free booze so you're paying for people who don't really care to be there. ETA: For my 21st we bought 5 cases each of red wine,…
  • Congratulations! Workout 7 is definitely my most hated so far. Before that, it was workout 5. I'm predicting I will hate 9 worse than 7 though and will probably hate 11 the most. Those odd numbers just kill me!
  • I'm dreading this one so badly! I feel like Jillian may have slightly lost her mind...
  • That sounds good and seems like it's working for you. I think you're absolutely right about taking a break from JMBR after finishing it. I actually think I want to take a break from Jillian altogether though! :P As you say, I do like having a program that goes for a certain amount of weeks and has a certain structure. I've…
  • I'm definitely on board for this. It's great going through with people at the same time. Some days it's the only thing that keeps me going!
  • Thanks so much. This gives me a better idea about it! I really think I will do it. I'll keep you all posted! :)
  • WOW my chest is SO sore today! Damn you, workout 7!!!
  • Oh no that sounds awful :( Definitely see what the doc has to say. I hope it gets less painful soon! T25 looks like more crazy jumping stuff lol but it's only 25 minutes and 10 weeks instead of 12. I'm thinking I'll just dive in and buy it (might ask for it for a Christmas present) but if I do it, I'll definitely let you…
  • Thanks for this. I'll have a trawl through the forums. I've also seen bits and pieces on youtube but I feel like it's not enough to get a comprehensive idea of what the program's like.
  • Okay what the HELL is workout 7? SERIOUSLY! Circuit 1: I couldn't even do the crow push-ups on my knees so I was just doing knee push-ups the whole time. The walking planks were actually okay. The plank-ups meant knees again. The jack knife crunches were hard but manageable. I probably did half as many as they did. And…
  • Jillian uses 3, 5 and 8 through the entire program. I always use the heaviest I can manage. When the heaviest weights I own become easy for certain exercises, I'll go and buy some new heavier ones.
  • I just did as many as I could. The first time I did workout 4 I did about 2 plank leg raises before collapsing on the floor and doing donkey kicks instead. By the last time I did WO4 I could do the leg raises in plank for the whole time, which was pretty awesome! If you push to do as many as you can each time your strength…
