  • Maybe he's worried about your safety? Just a thought... Could you compromise and still go running when you want, but take extra safety precautions with you or have him go with you instead. Off topic, but it sounds like you need to have a talk with him. If you're having trust issues at this point, marriage will be much…
  • Like everyone else has said, it could be a number of issues. I think you should definitely see a GI specialist that could help you out. It might be good to show them your diary of food, so that you can maybe make a list of foods that trigger your system. With IBS, some foods just trigger our GI system and you need to avoid…
  • Though I'm not a mom now, I'd like to be and in the meantime, I'm a dog mom as well. I've been back and forth with MFP before, but really want to get healthy this time, so that I CAN be a mom! You've started off well, just keep it up! If you need suggestions on healthy proteins, let me know! Feel free to add me as well!
  • I hear ya! I'm 28 and have been overweight for as long as I can remember as well. I've been on MFP for a while going back and forth. However, I NEED to get healthy. My husband and I want to have a baby and in order to do so, I need to get healthy...NOW! I'm there for ya if you're there for me. I know I need someone to…
  • Feel free to add me...everyone needs support and encouragement...me too!
  • Welcome back! Feel free to add me if you want. I, too, am starting my journey to a newer, healthier me!
  • I started turbofire about a week ago and already LOVE it as well. I like how she puts encouraging words in there and pushes you to go further. I've been recovering from a knee injury so I've been having to modify them, but I still love it! Good luck!
  • You guys have all offered great suggestions. Currently, I have been weighing everything. I bought a food scale and have been religious about weighing things (I even got my husband to help me with it). It's just discouraging. I know that "slow and steady wins the race", but I just feel like I've been slow and not so steady.…
  • Awesome idea! I may try and do the same thing! Best of luck!
  • Thanks guys. I've been forcing myself to take the dog for a walk about 20 minutes in length twice daily just to keep moving. I just think it's at the point where I'm gaining weight and unfortunately, in need of medication!
  • Feel free to add me if you like. Supportive friends are essential to success!
  • I'm in again. Thanks...I'm hoping this month I do better!
  • Not a silly victory at all! Congratulations and keep it up!
  • Thank you! My thyroid numbers are normal, but just barely, so I'm only only a very small dose of medication. I'm thinking I need to be eating more in order to lose weight, though.
  • Haha, yeah I've heard it a lot, but it didn't make sense to me. My doctor told me to eat 1200-1300 calories a day with 80-100 grams of protein. Today, I had 97 grams of protein and ate back all my calories burned off in exercise with a total of 1288 in calories. I've lost a net of 3 pounds in one month following my…
  • I'm currently 5'4" and about 183...embarassingly fat for myself. Thanks for the input, though. I'll look into it.
  • Hmm...thanks guys. I usually keep the water glass on my desk and sip throughout the day, but maybe it has to do with not eating enough. I know I'm properly hydrated because of my urine color, but I'm just really struggling to do what the doctor said without feeling sick. Will try to eat more like you suggested. Thanks!
  • Hi! I'm on Sprintec pills as well. I'm not on it for BC reasons, but for other medical concerns, so I don't really want to switch it up. If you're uncomfortable, talk to your doctor about switching things around. However, when I first started taking it, I did gain weight. However, I've started to lose it again now with…
  • This sounds like an amazing opportunity for being held accountable on a weight loss journey. Please count me in and than you for offering this!
  • Thank you everyone. I wasn't sure which to consider it, but I absolutely LOVE them as well. The nutritious level of vitamins is an added bonus!
  • I am the EXACT same way! I've been on MFP a few times now, but get discouraged so easily and just give up. Feel free to add me and I can support and encourage you for the same in return. Admitting a weakness and coming back is a great start, though. Keep it up!
  • I have Celiac's and a gluten allergy (Yes, both...it's a joy!) and my husband who isn't GF, has gone GF because of just living with me. Anyhow, we both LOVE corn tortillas. We make normal sandwiches but just in a tortilla and fold it over. It helps if I very lightly toast it or microwave it so that it doesn't' fall apart.…
  • I agree! I'm hoping to get them smaller so I can save a bit on buying bras in the future! Usually, I utilize Lane Bryant, though. THere are TONS of coupon codes for ordering online and they have a lot of sales, too.
  • For my protein, I go for fish a lot. Also recommend cottage cheese or greek yogurt as well as nuts, and other cuts of lean meat. I've been pleasantly surprised by fish, though. Check it out!
  • I had this problem, too. After talking to my doctor, I found out I wasn't eating the right foods. He told me to eat more protein and eat more often. After eating 5 meals a day with 80-100 grams of protein for a week, I lost three pounds. I don't know if this would help at all, but like the others, look at WHAT you are…
  • I too have self-diagnosed myself with a gluten allergy. When I eat it, I get a rash and my throat closes up...I figure that's a good sign :-P. If you need any help, encouragement or whatever, let me know. Feel free to add me as a friend here if you like. Best wishes on your journey!
  • I do, too! Feel free to add me. I was here before and then left because it wasn't working. After some medical concerns were addressed, I'm here to stay! Any encouragement is welcomed! As I said before, feel free to add me
  • I also need friends to keep me motivated. Weight loss is only accomplished through a lifestyle change, and until I get there, I need friends to keep me motivated and on track. Feel free to add me!
  • I work from home with a major direct sales company that has been around for 32 years. It's a great company, completely fits my schedule, is fun, and I absolutely love it. If you want more information, message me :-)
