I'ma huge proponent of CICO, eat your calories, get your protein, and make sure you don't overeat. Getting in as much protein as we need is hard, unless you're a fan of choking down endless chicken breasts, no matter how perfectly juicy they're cooked. At some point your body turns into the cookie monster and.. om nom nom…

You have no idea how right you are, as a ten year veteran of stripping the weight off, I can tell you, there is no maintenance, you have to eat for each and every day, and if you eat a whole cheesecake on Christmas like I do, you have to work that off through New Years. Welcome to the game, player

After ten years of "abs for summer" this year shall be MINE!!

OMAD plus protein here. If I can do it, twice, you can do it too, there is nothing stopping us but our own appetite! Immoderate appetites die!

I agree with your hubby. 90% of this is diet. you can't outrun or outwork a s.h*t diet. Fasting is actually kind of fun once you get into it, you start to feel full and satiated on so much less, and realize how much humans are grossly overeating. I am cheering for you!

I have a love affair with beef shortribs. When you smoke them, after 9 hours the fat with the seasoning ends up crispy and crackly.

I'm picky tho, I only do a couple different ones. Can't understand people who are freakishly passionate about spinach and cucumber salads. I'm with you, I die inside without chocolate. Have to get mine imported tho, I can't eat American chocolate. 0.0 protein powder with cottage cheese/greek yogurt.. BRB...

It's pretty good, that's why i got into cooking.. I got burned too many times eating out by food that was just.. dead. Everything I cook is.. done right, I'll say. Quite tasty. You don't cook and don't eat out? What do you do for food then?

Aye, but it's quite a shame really. I skip plating and presentation, and usually just eat it right as it cools. If it goes in a bowl, I serve it in my glass Tupperware and lid it up when I'm through. No sense in lighting a dinner candle just just me and my chicken and veggies.

Morning Tina 🤗[/quote] Meh, 50SPF might work, but I doubt it..

I have a big problem with Keto-fog and getting myself to force down the Keto-aid (electrolyte blend). The worst part is looking like you eat like an authoritarian while out with friends or at a social event. Almost *nothing* is Ketogenic in those environments. Have to agree with other posters here, Keto is one of those…

Same. I went from 215 to 148 and lost motivation because when I surpassed my goal weight, I looked the same but smaller. Took the wind right out of my sails. Hit 185 and decided it was abs or bust this time. I really think motivation, which comes and goes for me, is secondary to discipline. I was thinking about this…

The biggest thing I have learned is to embrace that feeling of being hungry, and not fight it or count the minutes until you get to eat again, but try to see it as a positive, as a sign that you're burning fat and heading towards your goals! I work out from home too. My Barbell is my go-to for squats, deadlifts, weighted…

How to reach your goals without being obsessed.. I have to say, there is a certain amount of obsession that goes into getting that cut look.. what you need to ask yourself is if this goal is really what you want, and what you are willing to give up to reach it. Are you dedicated to losing the baby fat and getting to the…

Good to see you at it again and motivated to lose! I'm more of a fan of low carb, 20/40/40, but like Lynda said, it's all about the deficit. Happy cutting!!
-
I take that back. Edited to say: Whoa buddy, so much ice cream and days that when you *do* actually log, are all ice cream, dunkin donuts, and basically a carb fest. What did you expect would happen? Ice cream is fun, but damn, once a week bro.. Here's a link that might help: tdeecalculator.net

My weakness is definitely Tennessee sour mash. I can't have just one ;) ;) Which of course leads to raiding the fridge or frying up some eggs

Also - partners recalculating their opportunity costs is a huge turn off.

Hey all, would love to make some more fitness friends!

I very much dislike people who post this image. Give it more time is literally the worst advice ever. If the scale isn't moving, OP is eating back all the weight. Op, Google the names Benoit, Young, Phinney, Willi, and Volek, et al, look under images. Low carb, low cal is about the best and fastest way to lose. I've kept…

Okay, A) Identify the emotional triggers, and the external events that influence you to experience those emotions, and see if there aren't strategies you could use to avoid emotionally stressful experiences going forward. B') If you enjoy the experience of snacking a lot, I would highly suggest getting into powerlifting or…

The best solution is to replace the skin stretched out by the large fat cells, with large muscle cells. I lost 60 pounds and wanted to gain half of it back when I realized how skinny-fat I looked. Goodbye cardio, hello even heavier weights. I love the way Jason Ferruggia put it, when writing for women's fitness magazine,…

Right there though, I'd say that the way they phrased the question betrayed what they really thought. That question wasn't intended to garner information, it was intended to shame. And it has nothing to do with humans being stupid, we miss *nothing*, and we try and slip by and get away with everything. Including backhanded…

OP, I know what you're saying. A lot of people give advice that just doesn't address the underlying problem. You're trying *not* to offend them and make waves, and they pressure you to conform. No one will talk about it, and I'm sure I'll get flamed, but tons of people will support you on the outside, until you start to…

THIS THIS THIS THIS It overestimates burn. There is an incredible amount of room for error on this site, between not logging handfuls, or times that it "doesn't count", and eating back XX amount of blah blah. Logging is great, and it can show us huge pitfalls in our behavior. But logging can also be used as another excuse…

I honestly don't know what the OP is asking. How much cardio is needed for overuse injure, mix and match?

Even if you find the calorie numbers for the deli food, there is no way to know if the guy making the food put an extra dollop or 4 of mayo in the tuna salad. Many restaurants have been set up by newspapers doing stings, taking the food to a lab and testing it, and most of the time, the lite menu items were the ones that…
