Actually yes I do put the lid down. Just blood...would you be okay with a guy pissing in your sink?
-
No I am not squeamish about bodily fluids at all. Raised four kids and now care for two grand kids, one of whom is autistic and still in diapers at the age of five. But I wouldn't wash my grand kid's urine soaked undies in the sink where I brush my teeth either.
-
Okay...I'm very glad we don't use them in this house then. I hope none of my guests are washing their diva cup in my bathroom sink.
-
Um, pee doesn't come from the same place as menstrual blood. Totally different exit route. I understand the mechanics of how it works, I am just wondering where you would wash it out.

Food is fuel. It is SUPPOSED to have calories. The idea of noodles without calories just seems WRONG somehow

re: feeling more flabby...having been 235(lost some before joining MFP) at one point and now at 175, I find that as parts of me shrink and/or become more firm, the surrounding area or fat that is still overlying the firmer areas has begun to look flabby and saggy. My age has something to do with that but I think part of it…

What tntgal said re calories....it's too early in the game to think you can ballpark it. Buy a food scale, weigh and measure EVERYTHING. I think you will be surprised how much a serving size really is. When I did WW the leader had five people come up and pour out what they thought a cup of cereal would be. Every single…

Sounds like these people are doing the c25K program or interval training....case in point why I try not to judge what anyone else is doing at the gym. I prefer to err on the side of positive and assume they must have their reasons.

Dehydration = an insane attempt by your body to hold onto every drop of liquid for the next two days after consumption of dehydration inducing alcohol. :-)
-
Alcohol absolutely will cause water retention but the sodium in the pizza, burger, etc are more likely the culprit. You certainly did not gain 4 pounds from a couple of days of over indulging and the weight should mostly disappear in the next couple days
-
Because people have a tendency to think their way is the only way. It's foodism :-)
-
I don't think people will be able to help you since your diary is private. Do you weigh and measure your food?
-
But do those ingredients occur in the shakes in large enough amounts to make a fig of difference? Vitamin C is good but if I buy a pill that only gives me 10 percent of how much I need each day then I am wasting my money.

My daughter went to school with Princess...just a little odd but add in her last name and she sounds like a cartoon character....Princess Dewberry

Got it...so only reply if you are willing to cosign the BS.......and how is that helpful?

Dr. Oz is a cardio-thoracic surgeon which in no way makes him an expert on weight loss or nutrition. Doctor's who are not specializing in a nutrition related field have to have very little schooling in regard to weight loss and nutrition. Dr. O is capitalizing on the MD title to sell his products. You would do better to…

3 pounds and 1 inch lost in three days is a physiological impossibility.
-
First thing you do is ditch that lite stuff. Eat regular fat everything. You will meet those 1200 cals no problem and be wishing you had more. As you get close to goal and it becomes harder to lose then you can decide if you want to incorporate fat free/sugar free stuff into your menu. But even then if you are exercising…

I don't even notice what others are doing. As long as I'm not down wind of a mouth breathers with bad breath, I couldn't care less what they are doing in their personal space.
-
70 pounds! That is amazing. Keep up the good work!
-
It's been about 4 months so I think the water retention stage is over. And having lost double this amount when I was younger(yeah I re-fatted) I didn't see any muscles appear then..Some of the explanations here make sense though. I didn't measure my arms but I don't think they got any bigger they just show more now so…

Not obnoxious per se but the older ladies in the locker room....do you have to be naked the ENTIRE time pre and post shower? Doing their hair, make up, having conversations etc. All buck naked. I'm not a prude, but I am older and also fat and I cover that crap up so no one has to look at it.
-
My apologies, I didn't look at your ticker to see how far you have come and how close you are to goal...I can only echo Lupercalia in light of that
-
Based on what you wrote it really doesn't sound like a plateau as much as it does a case of inconsistency. To see the results of eating healthy you really need to do it for a few weeks straight. It's hard once we get off track to truly get back on. We will pretend that we are back in the game, all the while eating little…

How long have you been stuck?
-
Not to rain on anyone's parade but if you do the math, even 3-4 pounds in 3 days is nearly impossible.(Nor is it healthy) To lose one pound you must expend 3500 calories more than you consume.
-
So again, it's okay to say rude things as long as you don't get caught. Nice.
-
Using that philosophy then replying to an internet thread and calling someone ugly with your own picture on display, kind of subjects you to the same treatment doesn't it?
-
and i can't believe i just had an internet spat. I am deeply ashamed and now need to go say 20 Hail Kates and atone for my sins. Ptooey.
