You'll enjoy the Warrior Dash as it's very similar. I'll probably be there too.

www.mudathlon.com Check it out. Fun to participate and fun to spectate!

I loved that event last year! Unfortunately I have already signed up for the Mudathalon event in Anderson that day. Not sure if Im ready for two events in one day.

The weather was perfect and the course was tough. I think I finished around the 1hr 50min mark but my official time isn't showing. Was shooting for an hour and a half but I gave it my all and I'm happy with that. I feel the obstacles were harder this year, but I think the overall course was about a half mile shorter.…

10:45 start time this Saturday for the Spartan. The Zoo-de-Mack looks fun. I've been wanting to get more into biking this year.

3 mile run, 5 min walk, 60 minutes of weights.

Thanks for the input. I think ill try to get to maintenance next week and even positive 2 to 3 days before.

Its funny I just found this as I started a 30 day no drinking run on April 1 myself. I've done this a few times over the last 2 years and I will say it definitely makes a difference to my body! I have before and after pictures of the first time I went 30 days w/o drinking and they are astounding! My profile pic is the…

do you run with your phone? I've been using the Nike run app and it will tell your distance and pace. I have a problem with starting off to fast and this has helped me. I'm sure there are other apps like MapMyRun, etc... If you don't already use one of these maybe give it a try.

Im excited!

On my way out the door to participate in the Mean Streets urban obstacle course DT Indy. Anyone else doing this one?

An ice cold beer on a hot summer day...everything about that sounds nice. I've been shoveling in calories and lifting weights all winter, so sadly I don't think beer is a good idea for me as I need to loose the excess lbs for summer.

just turned over 41 on the odometer last month.

You guys need to seriously stop it with the Tren and Tes push here! This kid is 20 and can do just fine natural.

Wow! I had no idea this site was so complex. My friend list is minimal and by some of these stories very tame. I'm sure I've been deleted a time or two. I deleted only one guy because he started posting daily the songs he happened to be listening to and the words that went along with them...he did this 10 to 20 times a…

Ha ha, sure you didn't! I think this was over before I found it. Hope you're staying warm this morning.

welcome!

Lots of hard work in here...Im feeling motivated to walk away and go to the gym. However I may have to lurk in the female version of this first!

Indiana Spartan and the Monumental 1/2 were by far my two event accomplishments that I was most proud of for 2013. Last year I completed MANY events of them warrior dash, mudathalon, patriot challenge, and Spartan were obstacle course races. Spartan was off the chart compared to the others. Now, if you're like me and love…

<-- Another one for yes. Size 40 to size 30 jeans. Lots of weights, countless hours of cardio, low carbs, and sticking to the MFP calorie count. It took me 18 months.

I'm with you Angie. Living in Indy I feel like its a must do, but most I've talked to say its not that great of a race. I picked the Monumental as my first (and so far only) 1/2 and loved it. At some point will add it to the accomplishment list but probably not this year.

one year ago.

I'm still here!

Born in Bedford, IN and live in Indy.

He's six! What he knows is that cars and trucks are cool, candy tastes good, and girls are weird...but when asked about girls he giggles and gets uncomfortable. Yes, we don't know his family but we do know his mom cares enough about him to speak up and defend her child. I think that speaks for something.

This is ridiculous. 6 pages of posts trying to take corporate America rules from an HR perspective (which are overkill for an adult) and mold them to the life of a 6 year old boy. I'm 40 so its been along time sense I lived the life of a 6 year old boy, but seeing that I'm a father of a 6 year old I have some insight.…

If my 6 year old son came home suspended for kissing a girl...I'd laugh, give him a hug, and ask if she was cute! Seriously, times may change but wow...when I was a kid we played outside, got dirty, fought, made up, and kissed girlfriends. Todays kids are treated as subjects and taught to be emotionless. How is that for…

I get motivation from the go getters at the gym...you know the ones that are there everyday with a sense of purpose. They don't necessarily have to be the strongest or the fastest...just carry the desire to get up and do something. Motivation is a rollercoaster to me. I was at the top of my game Nov.2 when I ran the…
