There's lots of "theories"...lots of "Bro-science", for IF as well as KETO diets. There are also some actual studies.... I can only relate to you MY experiences, which I don't claim to be any universal truth for anything...I have lost 40+ lbs 5 times in the last 7 years being an MFP member. I've gotten pretty good at it. I…

Wow!! Really good Job!! Your face tells it all in the 2nd pic...you appear extremely pleased with your results. Keep it up! Fabulous results!!

Man, I'd love to have my Body fat that low. I think you look fantastic! Keep it up! People are pu55ies in general, and tend to downplay the things they don't have the discipline to accomplish themselves.. Great Job!!

Keep at it! It gets much much better! After a while it ceases being something you "want" at all. My biggest issue since I stopped completely (September of 2011) is the pressure those around you will invoke (whether they realize it or not) to have "a little" with them... For me, "a little" turns into "a lot" turns into "an…

JBanx256 graph is pretty spot on with how my loss fluctuates when I'm logging. Some days it's up, some days it's down...I get on the scale every day, however I "record" my progress once a week at exactly the same time after the exact same "routine" Get up, do my business, don't drink anything, get undressed and record my…

Nothing could be farther from the truth. I've lost 40+ lbs 5 different times over the last 6+ years I've been an MFP member, simply by counting my calories and ensuring I'm in a deficit. Done by meticulously logging what I eat. I have noticed that instinctively I gravitate to a "low-carb" type diet when I count however.…

The truth is a large amount of people simply lack the willpower to not "cheat" themselves if they aren't given a specific set of guidelines to follow that they can't deviate from. If you add to that the fact that most "restrictive" diets also cut out a large majority of empty high calorie items (cookies, cakes, large sugar…

So that BMR looks right, and the TDEE would indicate you chose something like 5 workouts a week or something similar...so understand that those are simply estimates, and there are different formulas that give slightly different results. So that would mean in my scenario you should be eating at least 2454 daily calories. I…

You could add some weight in 2 months...but it won't be 9lbs of lean mass...it would be 7-8 or so lbs of fat and 1-2 ish lbs of lean mass (and honestly, I really doubt it would be that much) and that's if you are hitting it hard, with a great diet and good building program under you. You've been sculpting for 5 years…

So at 122lbs you would have to have only 102lbs lean muscle on your frame...which is pretty low for a 20 year old male, even a short male. I don't know how tall you are but for a 5' 8" male your BMR would be about 1540 calories a day doing absolutely nothing all day every day. That puts your TDEE somewhere in the 1850…

That's a great goal....I just lost 40lbs from Apr 2014 - September 2014...so that goal is very realistic and completely attainable. So, one thing I do that tends to get a bit old, but if you make it a priority is to create a veggie platter for lunch/dinner every night in ADDITION to what you intend to eat. For instance at…

This is pretty spot on! If you are making excuses for it, you are already rationalizing the current or upcoming overeating you intend to do.....

Interesting thread. Honestly, I think when people say "they're just jealous" they are just trying to stroke someone's ego. People on here generally "want" to help those around them, no one wants to see someone fail at their weight loss goals. The answer however isn't the issue, the issue is that a person feels the "need"…

The rec center I go to only has 1 squat station...so it is pretty irritating when people do this. But then again, I can count on one hand the number of people that get into the squat station, and actually squat....most bend their knees about 10 degrees, curl, or some other monstrosity......

I have never really gotten "bored" lifting. I spend my rest time between sets thinking about the form I just had, recalculating my weight (I swear I recount it after every set for some odd reason)....etc..etc... I take pleasure in trying to do the exercise "better" than I did it in my previous set. To each his own I guess!

Awesome!!!! Take and post some pics from your perspective....that would be interesting to see.

Of course not.... Women are just flat out a work of art. We are like the painter fell over the table and a bunch of crap spewed onto the canvas.

Tagging Thanks.

So, my hopes of a 7 game series is shaping up nicely. What do ya'll think for game 5? Will the Spurs retaliate to go up 3-2, or will the Heat ride this new found aggressiveness to a 3-2 lead?

Are we all related? I'm "years old" too...what's our zodiac?

That's your sister, you know you have an automatic green light to smack her upside her head if you need to!!!!!

Sounds like it is time to do something about it! Start tracking...weigh/measure everything...don't cheat yourself by not recording even when you know you've eaten/drank too much. I hope you can reign it in and get back on track! I wish you great success!

It really bugs me when people say "Live a little".......really.....as if I somehow lost out on life itself cause I don't want that piece of cake?
-
Such an awesome transformation. I'm so happy for you!

Well Done! Awesome Job!

People just don't give their Social Security number out like they use to.....
