You can't "shift" fat, you can't spot reduce. Continue eating at a deficit and lower your overall body fat %. Unfortunately if it's your trouble spot then it's likely the last place to lose. Incorporate heavy lifting so you are preserving lean muscle.

Really dude? He answered you, but obviously the obtuse is strong with you.

45min of heavy lifting 3x a week and then 30min of something cardiosh 2x a week. I find myself getting burned out if I work out more than that.

:drinker: Cheers for the carnivores!

Ideally 120lbs. 7lbs more to go, hopefully get down from 27" waist to 26".
-
Yes please, I just polished off 8oz of deliciously fatty grass fed beef.
-
That's some kick *kitten* progress. Feel free to add me, I'm Keto since Dec and could always use more friends who eat all the fat :flowerforyou:

SEPTEMBER 2012, damn MFP you guys are the best at necrobumping.

Be realistic. I see too many people fail because they adopt an all or nothing attitude and when that is not sustainable they quit.

:flowerforyou: Big over 40 welcome!

Weigh in dates: 2/1: 129.0 2/8: 127.6 2/15:128.4  Oh St Valentine's you done me wrong 2/22 2/28

Vanity sizing is my pet peeve. No way am I a size 4 at 128lbs when I used to wear a size 2 in high school (1988) and was an itty bitty 98lbs. There was no such thing as a size 0 back then either. Wish they just kept sizing how it used to be, It doesn't make me feel better knowing my pants are conspiring to lie to me
-
No I've always been full of rainbows and puppy farts.

I've heard great things about it, I'm on week 9 of SL and plan on doing Strong Curves afterwards. However any progressive weight training program is going to be repetitive. It's how they are designed, if SL bored you then it's not likely you will find Strong Curves any more scintillating.

Only if the above poster developed a sudden onset of scurvy.

Yes ladies...this! :drinker:

Having done it I can say it was not worth it to me, I really saw no difference in my butt after completion. If I had known better I would have gone directly to weighted compound movements like I'm dong now and skipped all the gimmicky BBL.. You can see in my profile picture the results of heavy lifting on my 43yr old booty
-
Nope and I would have no logical reason to try. Some people enjoy it, I don't happen to be one of those

He likes to keep me naked, he surprised me with a squat rack because he knows how much I love to lift, he is easy going about what he eats even through those dark times that i refer to as the "lets try quinoa experiment", no really it's delicious they told me. it wasn't but he ate it and smiled.
-
That would be a hell yes!

I've discovered I can't lift heavy weights and cry. I can walk and cry, I can run and cry, I can't squat heavy and cry. That's my place where everything melts away and all I can focus on is getting my *kitten* down and back up again. Find your place where you have to give your entire being to that and that alone.…

Your calorie goal is NET goal. So if you exercise then those calories are added to your daily total.

We did Valentine's dinner last night since my husband will be sick from chemo on the 14th. I didn't worry abut calories. We've had 25 crazy wonderful years together and time isn't on our side right now. Screw the calories...I ate cheesecake and steak and lobster and more cheesecake.
-
I started out over 40 and 50lbs overweight. It had been years since I'd exercised and my eating habits were atrocious. You can see my ticker I'm 10lbs from goal now.
-
All I've been doing is Stronglifts 3x a week. It's very simple but extremely effective. I've had a huge loss of inches, especially in my belly. I've gone from 30.5" to 27". Can not recommend it enough. I'm waiting until I get to Week 12 to post full before and afters. However you can get an idea from the pics I did post…

I'm 43 and started lifting 8 weeks ago, you can see my current pictures in my profile. It has done amazing things for my belly and my glutes.

My husband is on keto due to some medical issues and I decided to do it in support. Been Keto since Dec 9th. It's actually been fantastic, obviously it's a matter of calorie intake but it suits my personal palate and eating habits very well. My diary is open and feel free to add me,

I only started lifting 8 weeks ago, about to start week 9 of Stronglifts. You can see in my profile pictures my results so far. I'm fitting into clothes now at 127.5lbs that I used to fit into when I was 115lbs.
-
To me it was worth it, I use mine everyday.

Try this calculator, I've seen it posted a couple of times. http://www.calculator.net/body-type-calculator.html Honestly I wouldn't worry about it too much, just aim for shape 'healthy' :flowerforyou:
