I've got about 20lbs to go too! We can do this!!

The gym staff will show you how to use all the equipment and I'm sure your friends will help you too if you get stuck but generally everything is pretty user friendly. The staff should also be able to give you the best options for a routine so that you do not aggravate your back. I personally gave up on my gym subscription…

Wow thanks for this, I have JMBR and this is definitely motivation to restart and stick to it!!l

Congratulations in taking the first step of the rest of your life! This site is amazingly supportive and motiavational, make sure you check out the success stories frequently, I find those so helpful for reminding me why I am here when I have a bad day! Good luck and feel free to add me if you want :)

With roughly 11 weeks to go until your birthday that would mean you'd have to lose 2lbs per week which is certainly doable with some effort. Good luck!

I'm a second year radiotherapy student and I also work as a healthcare assistant. Totally understand where your coming from in terms of clinical placements. I'm not much of a forward planner in terms of food, something I'm definitely having to work on so I don't get caught out having to go to the canteen!

That sounds amazing def going to try it!

Your thread title also describes me! I am 5'2" 154lbs and newly vegetarian (Jan 1st). I'm also attempting to teach myself to cook lol. My biggest problem is nutrition because of the aforementioned lack of cooking skills and love of all thing convenience. Feel free to add me :)

Thanks Hannah that makes total sense, I didn't realise you were able to overwrite the estimate MFP gave you haha!

Great job! I am the same height as you and had a similar starting weight of 166lbs. Currently at 154lbs and hope to look like you when I'm done!! Did it take you the whole year?

I've managed to lose 1.5lbs so far this year (yay!) doing the first week of 30 day shred but have still been pretty lazy. Back to uni tomorrow though so will be a bit more active :)

Totally know that feeling! I'm always at the chocolate or crisps and I've just turned veggie so also having to curb the KFC and McDonalds cravings which isn't easy as I live very close to both! I would be up for Whatsapp, we can make a group conversation! I'm from the UK though so time zones could be an issue lol.

Try this group http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/18014-summer-25-week-challenge-1-6-14-to-7-4-14 The finish date is July rather than June but you should find some good support :)

I was struggling with DOMS as well doing her 30 day shred. I turned to Google for advice on reducing the soreness and came across L-Glutamine supplements (it's an amino acid) and there were lots of good reviews on Amazon about them so I gave them a try... All I can say is wow, I take 2 500mg pills 1 hour before working out…

There are some Pilates moves to work your legs and bum that you do lying down or on your side. You'll be able to find a bunch on Youtube :)

I've had my Fitbit One for about 4 weeks now and have it clipped to my bra everyday (unless I'm in my pjs then I clip it to my waist). I've had a couple of days over Christmas where I didn't the house and subsequently clocked up under 1000 steps as I was sat on my bum all day (the shame!!) and only 4/5 flights of stairs…

I did day 4 today so count me in!

I have 4.2lbs to go to get under 150 so as long as I don't have too many slip ups that should be more than achievable at less than 1lb a week! I have joined the 14lbs by Valentines day group but thinking that is probably a bit of a stretch for me! I am however doing the 30 day shred and have just decided to go vegetarian…

Hi :) I have the same problem with my partner, he loves his junk food and is always bringing home chocolate and sweets which makes it much harder for me to stay on track (and I seem to veer off much too often at the moment) but with the new year fast approaching I'm determined to get fit and healthy once and for all! I…

Great, thanks guys :) 5% puts me at 16g so I will go with that but not worry if I go a couple of grams over!

Mmm looks tasty! Is almond flour readily available? Don't recall ever seeing it before but never looked I suppose! Her spinach lasagna looks really good too!

Wow this is a great intro thanks so much for writing it! I'm just about start a keto diet having done some research into it over the past week. I recommend watching Robert Lustig's new video on sugar and lepin that can be found on the diet doctor website. Very informative even if it is geared to a low sugar diet rather…

Thanks guys :) I've sent you all requests!

Add me as well! I started my account last November and have half heartedly used it for a week or so at a time since then but am now dedicated to my weight loss! Luckily I have lost 7lbs since this time last year rather than gaining though :) Han
