  • -Don't ever stop being yourself. The right people will find you and love the person that you are, not the person you want the world to see. -Don't be so serious all the time. Make sure to take time out for fun. -Live in the present, but don't forget the lessons that the past taught you. Don't get caught up in what might be…
  • Last cardio 2 is scheduled for today and then on to Phase 3 tomorrow. EEEK!
  • Congrats! What a difference a year can make,
  • Feel free to add me.
  • Well, there you go. Go at your own pace, it's still valid. You gave it your best effort and that's all you can ask of yourself :)
  • Haha - me too!!
  • Jillian Michaels has a great kickboxing DVD. It's got 3 workouts on it. You can usually find it from $10-$15 and the workouts are only 20 minutes. You WORK for those 20 minutes, but they're really good.
  • Way to go! Can't wait to get there next week (and be rid of Workout 7).
  • You're right - it's all about putting things in perspective. MFP is only part of my journey (down about 50 lbs all together). Every now and again, one of my favorite things to do is pick up the kettle bells in Target in the amount that I've lost and walk with them down the aisle. It's like oh no WONDER my knees had hurt so…
  • They're really not that bad, as long as you modify according to your fitness level. Then, you can always work your way up. They're not easy, but it can be done.
  • Ugh- I am not a fan of workout 7. In fact, I am happy that I have only 2 more times of doing it because I really just hate it that much. Usually, I have a circuit I really like... but in 7, not really so much. Workout 8 isn't as bad. Circuit 3 aside, it is a lot more tolerable than 7.
  • That's amazing! You're doing such a great job and are such an inspiration. Thanks for sharing your story :)
  • 7 was just as ugly as I remembered. That's ok, I'm determined to conquer the entire program.
  • Very good to know. Thanks for the feedback :)
  • I love the idea of wearing a fitness tracker on my wrist too. I also love the idea of it syncing directly with MFP. We have been doing a step challenge at work and the pedometer I have is pretty bulky. We're coming to it at the end of next week. I like the idea of keeping track of my steps, as I feel like I go out of my…
  • I agree with everything you just said. Living a more healthy life will not happen overnight. It's a process, a journey. It takes a lot of work and dedication, but in the end, it's worth it.
  • Hi there! I'm Heather - also 28, also with about 100 lbs to lose. Looking for positive friends to share the journey with.
  • Wow! Way to go! What a difference a year and new habits can make. You're doing a great job :)
  • Good thing it's only for 2 weeks :) 7 is in store for me tomorrow. If I remember correctly, there are crow pushups... kind of awkward, especially since I am still doing modified pushups on my knees. Oh well, I'll make it work.
  • WOW- Amazing progress! Also, I LOVE your outfit :)
  • Finished the strength portion of week 6 ... just cardio to go tomorrow. Getting ever closer to phase 3... I haven't previewed them at all and I;m thinking it's probably for the better based on some of the comments I've seen here. EEEEEEP!
  • Yes, my knees hate all the plyo. Last time I started BR, I bought some of those interlocking squishy mats (got mine from Amazon). My work out room is in my basement and the cement floors are KILLER for plyo. The squishy mats help a LOT. I also really have to pay attention to my form while I do the moves like the cross over…
  • Running man is evil.
  • So exciting! I had to work my way up to holding plank also. Regular push ups are still a work in progress.
  • Good to know, I'm having the same issue. I will definitely try that.
  • You can still have alfredo sauce. Consider looking up a recipe for a healthier version. Swaps are one of the best ways to still have the things you want, without all of the calories. The are a lot of great recipes on this site: http://www.skinnytaste.com/ Almost everything we've tried from there, my family loves.
  • Starting Week 6 tomorrow. This is my second go round. I finished phase 2 last year and then sustained a knee injury and never did phase 3. This time, if everything goes as planned, I should be done by the end of December. I did Ripped in 30 before starting BR again and it seems to have helped.
  • WOW! I can't believe that was only 3 lbs difference. You must be building all kinds of muscle. Keep up the good work :)
  • Hi there - deciding to make a change is a big step in the right direction. Just take it day by day, one change at a time. They really do add up. Feel free to add me :)
  • Do another week of the weeks 7&8 DVDs. That way you can get back into the swing of things after having been away from it. I did the same when I had to take a week and a half away from BR because I tweaked my right knee. Currently working on week 8.... not easy, but the results are worth it.
