  • It sounds like a break is definitely in order. I think you'll find when you resume your regular training that you will perform much better.
  • Feel free to add me. I am coming off of a crazy year with some backsliding too. It happens to everyone at some point. Working my way through Jillian Michaels Body Shred at the moment... 3 weeks and 10 lbs down :)
  • I did Weight Watchers in the past and lost my first 40 lbs that way.... back in 2010 when the point system was based off of calories, fat and fiber. That being said... when they changed to Points Plus, that is when things stopped working for me. I think it has something to do with them trying to steer you towards healthier…
  • Body Shred is now online for purchase. Just got mine in the mail... eeep! www.GetBodyShred.com
  • I can relate to so much of what you wrote. Welcome :) I am 29, from New Hampshire (US) . 40 lbs lost, about 110 left to go. I tend to work out mostly with DVDs, these days mostly Jillian Michaels. I do also enjoy outdoor walks, especially now that fall is here. As soon as the weather starts to get cool, I can't wait to go…
  • Not sure exactly which attempt of BR this is for me.... I had started once and gotten to week 6 and then angered an old knee injury (from running) and was unable to move forward for probably 3-4 weeks and just decided I'd give it another go after I built up the muscles around my knee some. Last Oct-Dec was attempt # 2…
  • I recently heard this too, listening to a back episode of her podcast. Decided now was a good time to complete another round of BR to "earn" my copy of Body Shred, when it comes out. SO EXCITED!
  • Way to go! Keep up the good work :)
  • 1200 calories makes my soul cry. It looks like you're doing great without her diet anyway :)
  • Hang in there and do the best you can. It's worth it. Also, I saw an earlier post about soreness. I find that drinking 8 oz of coconut water after a Jillian workout really helps with the soreness and it's only 40 calories. Vitacoco makes a good one.
  • I found that the odd numbered workouts got tougher starting in phase 2. Once you get to phase 3, workout 9 is especially grizzly. Lots of time in various plank moves. But I will say, it makes your shoulders and arms look great.
  • Hi all- just checking in as I just finished week 2. How is everyone doing? I'm enjoying my 2nd go round thus far and finding I had been able to add weights to some of the more advanced versions of moves. I think back to the first time around and it's amazing to think of the progress I've made. For instance, when I started…
  • I didn't follow the meal plan the first time around and am not now the second time around. I am MISERABLE on 1200 calories. I prefer to keep it between 1400 and 1600 and follow an 80/20 rule to work a treat into my day. It helps me not to go crazy. It may bring results a little more slowly at times, but that's fine with me.
  • Fantastic! Keep up the good work :)
  • I was already setting my goal for this month at 8... what's 2 more? :) Count me in! It's been a while since I made any real progress. I've been back and forth with the same 5 lbs for like 2-3 months and I'm over it.
  • For phase 1 last time around, I had just used the "circuit training" option from the exercise database. However, I find that a good chunk of exercises in there end up overestimating calories burned. Then in phase 2, I bought a Polar Heart Rate monitor and I use it for everything. Here's the one I have (Polar FT 4). It's…
  • I'm excited there are a few of us starting the same week. This program is easier to stick with if you other people to help keep you accountable.
  • I finished my first round at the end of December. Lost around 20 lbs. I've still been doing other workouts in the mean time, but I am ready for round 2. Starting 3/31. Good luck everyone :)
  • She came to NH last Saturday. It was a great show! I would really recommend going, if you're on the fence and thinking about it.
  • I started yesterday too. I'm excited to see what kind of results this will bring. I just finished a round of Jillian Michaels Body Revolution around Christmas.
  • I also have a Polar FT 4, which is basic, but I love it.
  • I did Ripped in 30 for the month of September and lost just over 9 lbs for the month . I just finished 12 weeks of Body Revolution and took off almost another 20. Jillian's workouts work wonders for weight loss and muscle tone. You just have to keep at it. I still need to upload some progress pics . I still have a long way…
  • Yep Zumba DVD at home.
  • I love it! Did you ever think 11 months ago that this is where you would be? It just goes to show what a lot of hard work and dedication can do. Congratulations on your progress thus far and keep up the good work :)
  • What an amazing transformation! Congratulations and thank you for sharing your story.
  • Great job! It's always incredible what a big difference a few months and a lot of hard work can do. Congratulations to you and keep up the amazing work :)
  • I started week 11 today. Workout 11 in my opinion was not nearly as uncomfortable as Workout 9. Workout 9 I wanted to die pretty much every moment of it. Workout 11, while not easy, was definitely better. I'm interested to see what 12 is like. I seem to always like the even numbered days better anyway. Getting really close…
  • Those are fantastic results!
  • What an amazing transformation! That required a lot of hard work and dedication, so bravo to you. Thank you for sharing your story :)
