  • I married Aela the Huntress in one game, and Aranea (from Azura's Shrine) in another game. Giggity.
  • I'm Dani, 22 years old in a few weeks. I'm about to graduate from university in Oregon. I'm 5'6" and weigh about 185 right now. I used to be in pretty good shape before college, but I gained about 30 pounds since freshman year. I'm looking to weigh around 135 ultimately, but anything below 150 sounds fantastic right now. I…
  • Thank you so much! I was looking for a low-calorie way to make tasty fish tacos, but I was worried about the tortillas.
  • I have a simple recipe that I use, but it tastes really good and is easy to make! I start with a packaged box of cous cous (chicken or parmesan flavored). In a separate pan, I cook shrimp (large or salad size, doesn't matter) with fresh chopped garlic and spices, and then throw in a LOT of spinach and some diced tomatoes.…
  • Another user just posted a really similar question, so here's my answer from that thread: In order to lose 10 pounds in a month, you need to cut/burn an extra 8,750 calories per week from your resting caloric burn (the amount of calories you'd burn if you ate just enough food for your body to burn it and nothing more each…
  • Nuts are a really good idea. A handful of them is pretty high calorie, since they have lots of (the good kind of) fats in them! Perhaps if you also have a class of organic orange juice or grapefruit juice for breakfast, and brown rice as part of your dinner. Beans are also good, too!
  • You're welcome! I hope that huge block of text helps. Haha. I know it can be really daunting at first. Make sure you don't get stressed if you don't see an immediate change. It'll take a week or two to REALLY kick in. Your hard work will pay off, though. Just stick to it!
  • In order to lose 10 pounds in a month, you need to cut/burn an extra 8,750 calories per week from your resting caloric burn (the amount of calories you'd burn if you ate just enough food for your body to burn it and nothing more each day--called Basal Metabolic Rate or BMR). This means you have to burn an extra 1,250…
  • I definitely see a change. If you have also been strength training & exercising in general, you will have added muscle and replaced fat. This means you won't necessarily see a dramatic drop in weight, but your body will start taking on a new shape, which I can definitely see happening in you!
  • Right. I mostly just ask how to record it partly because I've become kind of OCD about my recordings being as accurate as possible, and because I am known to eat all of my partner's crusts whenever he eats pizza. Seems significant enough to merit a recording.
  • I am definitely in, too! I turn 22 on March 21st... it would be great to have lost almost-ten-pounds by then. I have a group that I created very recently for something like this. If you guys want, we could use that group to set challenges and weigh-ins so we can hold each other accountable! Send me a message and I will…
  • Raw veggies (carrots, snap peas, cucumbers) Lite/Low-Cal salad kits (a little more expensive than just buying dressing + raw lettuce, but I always find that I forget about the lettuce if I buy it raw, and it goes bad) Hummus Bread (it's a little more expensive, but Dave's Killer Bread is great and good for you... lots of…
  • I think it's kind of unhealthy to expect a person of the sex you're attracted to to automatically be attracted to any and all body types. Every person has a certain set of body types that they can be attracted to. I think that naturally, people aren't going to be attracted to others who look "extreme" in any way…
  • Way to go! Congrats!
  • You are exactly what I want to be. :) You are an incredibly strong woman! You're my inspiration! CONGRATS!
  • Fantastic :) You look great! Congratulations!
  • I was researching how to estimate calorie burn for DDR, and came across a fairly good estimate: about 5-6 calories per Standard song, and 7-8 calories per Heavy song. I found that this was a fair way to gauge my caloric burn, although it's not incredibly accurate. Source:…
  • I just got back to DDR again. I still use my old mat that I bought in ~2003-2004. It works great (it had better, I paid about $60 for it at the time), but is pretty worn out. In middle school and high school I played so much and loved it! I really like the workout modes on a lot of them, too. It's nice for us…
  • This really was wonderful to read. Today is Day 1, but it's the fifth or sixth "Day 1" I've done. But it's going to be the last Day 1. This time is the time. I want this healthy lifestyle so badly, and nothing is going to stop me this time, ESPECIALLY myself. :)
  • Thanks for all the tips, guys! My campus is really small (I go to a small, private university), so it only takes me about 10 minutes to get to any of my classes from my apartment. It doesn't add that much to my exercise, since I really only have to make that walk two or three times a day. I do have an XBOX with Kinect, so…
