  • Short term (Spring goal): Find s good off season exercise and macros plan that works. So I know a good plan in place for being off season and not falling off the wagon. Long term: Plan to do 2-3 shows this fall in the NY, Boston, and LA area.
  • If you want to just track differences/improvements, but don't really care about HOW much you really are you can just buy a tanita scale. They aren't super accurate but it can help you figure out if you've dropped or not. If you want a better result and are ok with paying a bit, I recommend doing a bod pod. Its the least…
  • Yeah I add chocolate protein powder and its like pudding! You can also add cocoa, splenda, and freeze it for a frozen yogurt
  • Well first thing is first pick a day of the week and stick to that day. Weigh yourself first thing in the morning on that day every week and log it (even if its bad). I would say if you started on Monday and you like Monday, weigh yourself this Monday. If you keep hiding from the scale you will delay knowing if it is or…
  • Oh I hate when people make comments about not being able to eat in front of me, or apologize for eating something I can't. Like seriously guys, I have self-control and I'm not going to be drooling and feeling bad for myself b/c you're eating cookies.
  • If you want exercise to help you lose fat you will need to do cardio at least 4x a week for at least 30 mins. In reality diet is the most important (i.e. no amount of exercise will compensate for a bad diet), BUT you will raise your metabolism and build muscle mass you will need to exercise.
  • I choose Figure, based on multiple things. One, I don't haev the body for bikini. I am naturally too muscular and thick. With that in mind, figure was a really good fit body type wise. I also do like the figure suits better. The way they cross in the back and are all sparkly, makes them feel like something different than a…
  • For cardio I LOVE step, and urban rebounding. I run 1-2 times a week, play volleyball and do the occasional spinning class. For machines, I do the elliptical and stepper. I also strength train alot, which I like as well. Its more mentally challenging. Where do all of you work out in Boston area?
  • On bodybuilder.com you can probably get a better answer than on here.

  • My trainer has said 12-14% and how low you need to be is based on how you look. For example, I hold alot of weight in my stomach so even though I'm b/w 14 and 15 now I will probably have to drop to like 12% to get the right look.
  • I am hoping to do the NPC show on May 6th in Boston
  • That's a good idea! I will try to dig up some other information!

  • Hello! I live in Cambridge. I am looking forward to meeting people on this group. I made my weight goal about 6 weeks ago, and looking into new and different fitness goals.
  • I'm not a trainer, but I am naturally muscular. I've had similar issues... like when a previous boyfriend said I love that we can work out and lift together, but I hate the fact that you're so muscular. I wanted to be like REALLY? On the other hand, guys who are really into being fit and workout, love a girl with loots…
  • You can change your workout routine, you don't not necessarily have to up it, or just make what you do more intense (i.e. pushing yourself) can help. I remember a personal trainer saying just changing the times you workout (like from the morning to the evening or vice versa) can challenge your body. I get plateaus often…
  • Thanks for the responses! I actually don't use the exercise calorie credit to determine how much I should eat. I just eat less than a certain amount everyday if I exercise or not. So I'm not sure if that's the issue, I thought about the muscle mass issue, but I do I REALLY lose and gain a pound or 2 muscle mass within a…
  • Yeah I'm totally up for being you buddy! Feel free to friend me, and we can start keeping in touch and supporting each other
  • Great! I wish you luck! Feel free to friend me, and we can start keeping in touch.

  • As am I... I"ve been exercising hard and eating well for about 3 months, and haven't lost ANYTHING. I look better but I see nothing on the scale. Its REALLY frustrating, so getting some support would be great!
