Congratulations! What a great accomplishment! I'm chasing it too, and hope to see you there soon! You look amazing! :D

Absolutely amazing story! My SW is a little higher than yours (288.5) and my goal is 145 - so it's awesome to see you hit it, and to get a flash of what i'll look like when I get there too! So happy for you and your family! :D

But I really do have a great personality... ;o)

I also log daily and have an open diary. I'm pretty faithful to my logging, and would love to support/have your support. :o) I'm a 5'6" female. SW: 288.5 CW: 219.25 GW: 145 (though I reserve the right to change!)

Totally agree! Welcome to MFP! We're all in this together, and this is an excellent support system. Feel free to add me. :D

"It is better, I think, to grab at the stars than to sit flustered because you know you cannot reach them... at least he who reaches will get a good stretch, a good view, and perhaps even a low-hanging apple for his efforts." - RA Salvatore "I do today what others won't so tomorrow I can do what others can't." - Jerry…

Mine is 260. When I got it I was 290. Now I'm 225. When I hit goal, I'll get it changed. :o)

Feel free to add me as well - I have a couple multiples of 20-30 pounds yet to lose, but my goal is 145 and I'm 5'6. I'm always looking for more support, and to be more supportive! :o)

Sounds like you have a couple hundred pounds of excess baggage you can drop right now, and be much better off for it. Kick him to the curb. Never, ever allow someone else to dictate your body image for you. Especially if that someone is in the running to be with you in the long term. 140 pounds is too fat? I'm 5'6 as well,…

You look fantastic! So happy to have you on my friends list!!! Thanks for the support, and looking forward to more of the same in the future!!! :D *hug*

I also use my Polar FT4 heart rate monitor. I've found that MFP's calories are way too high for some exercises (i.e., the HRM says I burn just over 400 calories for 50 minutes of boxing, and MFP says it's over 800), and way too low for others. It's also helpful for cardio that isn't listed in the system, like some of the…

No matter what you eat, even if you go WAY over your calorie intake, log it. It keeps you honest. Being honest with yourself is one of the most important factors of weight loss. Ultimately, it's all a head game, and if you play games with yourself, you're going to lose. :o)

A lot of people have said it, but I'll reiterate - mini goals! Check out my profile for an example of what I do. I set 5% increments, and the big ones (50 lbs, 100 lbs, when BMI changes). Also, for every 10 pounds I lose, I get a lapel pin from Disneyland! I keep them on a board by my side of the bed, to remind me of how…

^This. Also, is there ever going to be an option to move a food item in your diary from one meal to another? As it is now, I have to delete it from one and re-add it to another. I love that feature on the website! Will post more as I play with it more. :o)

If you don't eat enough calories in a day, your weight can plateau, kinda like what you're experiencing. Are you netting 1400 calories a day, or eating 1400 but losing a bunch from exercise? I'm not going to start screaming "net 1200 net 1200" like so many do - that works for me, but might not for you. Just make sure to…

Rather than calling you "pretty" or even "handsome," your mother calls you "well-proportioned..." :o(

Hi there! My UG is 159 lbs lost, but we'll see how I feel when I get to healthy BMI. Feel free to add me! We can all use all the help we can get. :D

I pinned this but haven't tried it yet. So much potential! :D

Hi there! I've been on MFP for just under 5 months, and I can't get enough of the people here! My MFP support base is what's helped me lose almost 50 pounds so far! Welcome to the family, and feel free to add me! :o)

Hi there! I'm 33 and have been on MFP since 11/26/12. I'm down just under 45 pounds so far! Feel free to add me. :o)

Personally, I do both. I lift on Mon-Wed-Fri (upper only, biceps, triceps, shoulders, chest, back) and do cardio. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I attend a boxing class. It's really a lot of fun, and if you find the right class they'll keep it slow for newbies. It's definitely doable being obese (I am as well ATM), but…

I have this exact same problem! I've tucked away a giant box of clothes that don't fit anymore. I know that my reluctance to part with these items stems from the yoyo dieting I've done in the past, and I can't bear to part with the clothes until i know for sure that I won't need them again. It's a huge stressor for me, so…

Hi there, and welcome to MFP! I'm also serious about losing this extra baggage for good, and I'm happy to friend anyone else looking for help, encouragement, and support! Feel free to add me. :D You've made a very important first step by joining the MFP community. I've yoyo dieted for nearly all of my adult life, and I've…
