  • Hi there, Absolutely understand what you are going through - I used to have/have a massive sweet tooth and here are some of the things that came to my mind while I read your posts: - what is emotion behind the eating? what do you feel when you crave the sugar? are you going thru a tough phase or are battling childhood…
  • Hey there, 1.4 pounds is nothing! I put that on just by drinking my tea everyday  Every half pound lost, gets you closer to that 25. Also, do you keep a record of your measurements? I find that really helps me as that is a clear NSV. Weight is just one way of knowing how you are going (and not a great one at that!).…
  • I hear you! I think Im going to start with SOMETHING rather than trying to get back to my usual self in a week. That was silly of me to expect! Good luck to you, I might add you on, if you dont mind? I thought it was a brilliant suggestion too, glad it helped you as well. This is my 3rd continental move in 30 years and I…
  • Haha, cheers for the support :) Just send you a request :) Ah yes, emotionally drained and I also have a history with anxiety and depression so its been hard work (neither have gotten me badly but its always lurking). Exercise definitely helps keep the lows away. I am happy that you are off the medication. Keep it going!…
  • Thank you! That is brilliant. And you are spot on. A lot of my lack of enthusiasm is because Im not in love with this place yet...which is ok as I might move back home to Australia if I continue to be miserable. But in the meantime, I want to look after my health and keep myself motivated and open to whatever life brings.…
  • Umm no...but Im not sure what you are trying to say here?
  • That was gold! Definitely not happy when I look at myself, absolutely not! Thanks for that :)
  • I have sour cream when I need to up the calories without adding the carbs. Works great and makes you feel satiated. Something about the fat makes me feel like I have had a full meal with no cravings after. I use light sour cream. Also, avocado, nuts, eggs and yes, peanut butter are great! Good luck :)
  • Hi everyone, Im Lily from Melbourne and Im just heading into maintenance - nice to virtually meet you all! Just a little bit about me : Im 29, 5'5 and currently weight 72.5kgs (159lbs) and aiming to get to about 70kgs (154lbs). I started at 88.8kgs (196lbs) in October 2012 and have done really well using MFP and regular…
  • This! And welcome to MFP! You will have tough days and easy days. But be kind to yourself on the tough and easy days :) You are making a massive change to your body and a bigger one to your mindset and lifestyle. Good luck and you will do this!
  • I have been having the same issue -- I was eating about 900-1000 net and have brought it upto 1200-1300 net over the past week (to break a 4 week stall in weight loss) and I am SO SO hungry even with the increase in food/calories. Im not sure why this is because I used to be fuller on 900-1000 net. I seem to want more and…
  • Im feeling a bit like this this week. I never eat my exercise calories and exercise everyday. I have about 700-1100 (nett after deducting exercise) everyday. Im beginning to think that perhaps its too little at time. Im not hungry but Im super exhausted, snappy and getting irritated easily. I also ate the same calories…
  • Please feel free to add me on. I eat well, am a vegetarian and I try to eat clean as much as I can. I log consistently and try to exercise everyday. Im also happy to be honest (not rude) and am most pleased when people are the same with me. No judging, we are all trying hard to reach our goal.
  • Start now. Just get up and do it. Nothing else can bring you closer to looking at yourself with more pride. You can do it. Nothing is lost until you have completely given up. You have done it before and you will do it this time as well! Keep us posted!
  • That made me smile. Thank you for sharing your story, you are so brave and I know that you can and WILL do it! Dont give up. We are here to support you! :) Big hugs!
  • Ive been a vegetarian most of my life. Eat a lot of vegan too. Please add me on if you wish. Im new to MFP and would love to get tips/support/suggestions from new friends (esp. vegetarian friends) :)
