Mostly short run walk right now. Goal is to improve stamina to start trail running again.

Cabbage soup diet. What a poor decision on my part. Bonus: Allman Brothers original band with Gregg and Duane. However, I would be glad to go with others to see Beatles.

Consistency is my goal for April. Switching to Keto today. Fitness goals - 3 Bike Rides, (or Spin Class), per week. 3 Strength Training sessions per week. Nightly walks of 2-3 miles after dinner.

Allman Brothers Band, Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Mostly lurker. Used to be Milesbluesky on WW. References 2 of my favorite things in the world. My son and first born's name is Miles and my favorite song is Blue Sky by the Allman Brothers Band. Now MCBluesky. MC are my initials. The change is due to grief my daughter gives me about using her brother's name instead of…

Add me too. Need to lose 70. Have been on WW since start of year.

Binge, definitely.

Lack of sleep. Social functions/Football Tailgates/Baseball Games. Boredom.

Playing guitar is vital to my healthy lifestyle. I must admit when I was younger playing in bands, travelling every weekend, it probably did not do many positive things for my health due to excessive drinking and lack of sleep. Was a skinny long haired typical rock guitar player who suddenly grew old and much larger.…

Monday Monday - only #1 hit. although I preferred California Dreaming.

As stated by others, having the Genie handle meal shopping and prep work would be ideal. Regarding Pop Tarts, was in the store with kids yesterday, and they even said no to Pop Tarts. Really do not care if they exist, as I never crave them. Although in full disclosure, if a brown sugar cinnamon frosted pop tart crossed my…

When I went to a band reunion and fans from the old days did not recognize me. Had to accept it was not just about the current short hair vs. the long hair back in the day. The skinny long haired guitar player from the '90s had turned into an overweight old man. Do I really look that different. Nope, just fatter. Time to…

Started with a goal of losing 80. Down 12 via WW. Considering moving to Keto plan to help with sugar based binges. All or none mentality. Does not appear I was blessed with the moderation gene. Just kidding about that.

Lose 20#s. Continue to train for Oly Tri in September.

Big fan of Garmin products. Have the Vivoactive HR, (also 910xt). Works well. I have noticed that the mileage appears to be off. For example, a 3.1 mile run typically shows 3.25. Lots of trees in the way, so could be an issue. The difference really does not bother me, but it could bother others.

Once I finally decided to address the issue of significant weight gain, I was surprised that my level of commitment and discipline had reduced. Should not have been surprised since obviously something had changed leading to the weight gain. Still, I was shocked that I could not sign up for a plan and execute it without…

Awesome. Any time on the water is time well spent. Congratulations.

I still see myself as the disciplined focused committed athlete in great shape that I used to be. Unfortunately, I am not that person, and have not been that person for the past 10 years. What happened to that person? Consequently, I have gained significant weight despite a consistent work out regimen. I struggle when I…

My losses have stalled the past couple of weeks. No mystery. Coincides directly with increased consumption of junk food. I am not currently capable of moderating sugar. All or none, and I am fine with none. However, when I think I can moderate, usually ends up in a binge. Time to reset. Have not gained, but momentum in…

Mindfulness keeps me OP. I was eating just because it is there, or I am stressed, or whatever. Not caring really about the taste, as in "am I really enjoying the whole bag of cookies, or container of ice cream, etc". Just eating all of it because it was there. Out of control mindless eating brought me here. I enjoy fruit…

Big fan of 910XT for running, cycling, and swimming. Considering upgrading to 920XT or 935, but will stick with 910 as long as it works.

Reality, I never expect the desire to binge on junk to go away completely. However, my goal is to transform into someone who understands the consequences, and thus resists the urges more than I have done in the past. I know it makes me feel terrible physically, not to mention the effect it has mentally to feel out of…

@MurpleCat. Diet Coke and M&Ms for breakfast? I thought I was the only one. :)

1) Thinking the solution to my weight loss journey was low carb, (i.e., eating mass quantities of meat and cheese), since I was convinced portion control was not a skill I could develop. 2) Thinking I could out exercise my poor late night eating habits and binges.

Eating fruit instead of junk food at night.

Boredom, especially at night, is a major barrier for me as it can lead to mindless eating of junk food. Gets worse when I am under stress, just sitting in front of the TV wasting time. Fear of failure is another barrier for me. Can I really do this forever? Am I in control or on the verge of another binge.

0 pt. fruit is one of the reasons I like WW. Replacing late night binges of ice cream or chocolate with fruit is a main contributor to my losses on WW. I do not miss or crave junk when replacing with fruit. Other plans, such as South Beach, with no fruit allowed, led to late night binges within the 2 week induction. I do…

Charlie's before and after picture was enough to motivate anyone. It was proof the plan works if you work the plan. Miss him as well. Great to see posts from fellow music lover Lily and Murple. Always looked forward to what you had to say on GOAD. I am much more of a lurker than poster, but learned so much from GOAD. Even…

Have enjoyed GOAD since I started on WW, 4 or 5 times ago. Straight talk. No fluff. Insightful. With humor mixed in. Like Gavin, the most impactful advice I have received is "Don't give up anything you don't want to give up for the rest of your life. Just find a way to include it as part of an overall healthy lifestyle." I…

I looked forward to Becca's posts every day. Very entertaining. Loved her spunk. Definitely miss her.
