  • Hey! This sounds like my kind of crowd! I was here about ten years ago too, lost almost 20 pounds, and gained most of it back. I'm here to lose 15 pounds and feel more energetic. Let's be accountability buddies! I'll add you! :)

  • Hello, hello! I'm aiming for about 15 pounds by the end of June too. Feel free to add me! I think I've been logged in every day for about 9 weeks. Going strong!
  • Calorie counting WORKS! Several years ago, I decided it was time to finally lose those extra 20 pounds, and for about the first 10 pounds, all I did was count and cut calories. It wasn't until probably the last 10 pounds that I decided I wanted to add some form of exercise that I could do even after the 20 pounds were…
  • Nice!!! Thanks so much for sharing! Adding this to my list of home workouts. ;)
  • Hey! Feel free to add me too! I was here back in 2013 and lost about 20 pounds... Then I had a hard time keeping it off! I've gained most of it back, unfortunately. My goal is 15 pounds in 15 weeks so you should see me quite active on here up until at least the first part of summer. ;) Best of luck to all of us!!
  • Hey! Feel free to add me if you'd like. :) I'm sorry to hear about all of what you're going through. It sounds like you've been working through things for a while now, and I hope you are in a better place at least for the time being. One day at a time, right? I've done yoga off and on for the past five years, and this past…
  • Add me too! I joined back in 2013 and lost about 20 pounds... The hardest part was keeping it off! I've gained most of it back, unfortunately. My goal is to lose 15 pounds in 15 weeks AND keep it off. ;)
  • Hey! Feel free to add me if you'd like! I'm about 5'1" and am looking to lose about 15 pounds. My aim is 15 pounds in 15 weeks so I should (hopefully) be quite active until the first part of summer. ;) Good luck to us both!
  • Hello, hello! Welcome to MFP! I joined back in 2013 and lost almost 20 pounds... The hardest part was keeping it off. I've gained quite a bit back and would like to lose about 15 pounds AND keep it off this time. ;) Feel free to add me if you'd like! I'm aiming for 15 pounds in 15 weeks so I should (hopefully) be quite…
  • How about losing 20ish pounds? Add me if you'd like! ;)
  • Hey! I lost 20 pounds back in 2013 and gained most of it back. Here's to losing it again and keeping it off!
  • I always look at my before pictures because in some of them, you can obviously tell how unhappy I was with myself. Then I tell myself, "Is this who you want to be? Do you want to be miserable your whole life?" Of course, the answer is no. When I first joined MFP, I took pictures every time I lost 5 pounds. What a…
  • Thank you both! I had to drink quite a bit of Gatorade during the weeks after I passed out. I completely forgot about that. I will have to add that and more salt into my diet. I like to run right when I wake up before breakfast, but perhaps I'll change my diet a little too. Thank you again! I'm glad I'm not alone in this.…
  • Thanks everyone! Fantastic job for those who are losing (or WILL be losing!) those pounds! We can do it!
  • I was at a plateau too for almost three months. I was eating between 1200-1350 calories a day, and finally I went to see my doctor and she said my body had gone into starvation mode. She suggested that once a week, I up my calories to 1500-1800. I started doing that and saw my weight going down again. The closer you get to…
  • I love, love, LOVE Zumba! Why do I love it? 1. If I don't know how to do certain moves, I'm told to at least dance like crazy and keep my heart pumping fast. 2. After an hour of it, I feel like I can still keep going! It's a workout without feeling like one! 3. The classes offered at the university in my…
  • Ooh! I'm in too! I gotta catch up to the rest of you! :)
  • Hmmmmm... I think sometimes people might be in a hurry and forget to look at the diary. I'm guilty of it. I only go on MFP maybe 10 minutes a day to log in stuff?? Sometimes I just see that they've stayed under their calories for the day and I say, "Great day!" without thinking about it. But when I do see that someone has…
  • Running is my main form of exercise and I do that four times a week. On the other three days, I do Zumba (or another dance routine), lift some weights, and a little bit of yoga. I used to just run and rest, but adding the other things have really helped me with my energy level and running further. Good luck! :)
  • I haven't gone grocery shopping in a long time... So it'll probably be a burger with cheese and no bun. Some sauteed green beans. And I eat rice with just about anything so rice! And maybe a slice of leftover red velvet cake. ;)
  • I don't reward myself with food...that's my weakness! I'm a thrifty shopper so when I reach a goal, I allow myself $20 to buy some new "old" clothes. So I end up with usually a few shirts, a skirt, and a pair of pants. :) I also really enjoy doing crafts (sometimes a little too much) so I allow myself extra hours to make…
  • Thanks for posting this!!! I didn't know youtube had full clips of workout videos. I've been piecing together Zumba clips that I like, which works too. I'd say you can log it in as dance or Zumba! As others have already said, I don't know how much it would burn because it varies per person. I used this site to figure out…
  • I was going to write something...but then I was reading all the responses and forgot what I was going to post about...except that it was grocery related. Oh wait, I think I remember... Healthy food is more expensive. It is. I went to the grocery store yesterday and a steak was $8. Then I went to the grocery store down the…
  • I wish I was losing weight like some ladies! About a day or two before I get it, I start to pack on a pound or two... Then the rest of the time, I just feel bloated. I have some minor health issues too so when I have my period, I have to really increase my calorie intake to avoid dizzy spells and fainting. Not only that, I…
  • I learned one of the most important lessons in life from my Economics class in college... SUNK COSTS DON'T COUNT! The example my professor gave was this... A student of his approached him and said she was in an abusive relationship and didn't know what to do. She had been with her partner for five years and felt…
  • Very nice!!! That's so exciting! I don't wear belts, but I wish I did because it would be a good way to keep track of my waist. I'm very proud of you!
  • I didn't read all the replies so I'm sure I'm repeating what others have written... I think your confidence will catch up to you. When I first started, I was feeling really blah inside. If that makes sense... I was losing weight, but it's like I couldn't really see that. Does that make sense? I'd see that I was down…
