If you are not a morning person, don't do it! I tried it for 6 weeks, my workouts suffered, people I work with suffered, my friends suffered. You just have to make it fit where you can. Block out a 30 minute time where it's just all about you. Workout, meditate, read a book, something that is just about you everyday.

Garmin! I switched from FitBit to the Vivoactive and I absolutely LOVE it. I can't wait until it's warmer out where I can use swim and cycling functions outdoors! I would stay away from the Blaze. It's a watch face that snaps into a band. It isn't water proof. And the day they announced it their stock plummeted telling me…

If you like yoga, there's a free YouTube channel for that. There are tons of free videos out there. Fitness Blender. If you Google Free exercise videos on YouTube you will have everything from basic walking instruction to heavy lifting instruction that can be done on your time table with the equipment you have. If you have…

I'm probably going to get some heat for this but I'm ok with that. You should know this is coming from the mouth of someone needing to lose 35 just to get out of the obese category according to BMI. I'm 5'4" and have weight anywhere from 278 to 156. I wasn't healthy at either stage. Your cousin IS insensitive but not…

Feel free to add me.

I got a small TENS unit on Amazon for about 30 bucks. I have had no pain in my foot for over 6 months now. I used it 3 times a day for about a month. I looked up placement of the pads on YouTube and got a general idea of where to place them. Then I just moved them around until I found the spot the gave me the most relief.…

I have a mental block with chewing anything in the morning, don't know why, just hate it. I make myself a smoothie for the morning, "drinking" my calories in the morning is much more agreeable to me mentally. I do this simply to keep myself from ravaging the kitchen later in the day. It's all about what works for each…

Add me please!!!

My suggestion, from looking at your meals photo.... Stop eating bagged/boxed/frozen food. Look at the salt, sugar and other preservatives added to that stuff. Spend Sunday or Monday, or whenever your off day is shopping for fresh foods. Cook and meal prep after that. You would be shocked at the difference you will feel…

Mines open. Not sure if you want to follow me or not, I don't have the best habits or make the healthiest choices. But I make it work and am still losing weight.

You can't make conflicting statements like "if it goes in my mouth I log it" and "I don't log cheat days but I keep them under 1500" and not expect people to tell you your log is off. I suspect, like most every other person who has commented, your log is inaccurate. If you are trying to lose several pounds, an…

I'm in for new friends!!! All request welcomed. <---- Friend requests that is!

Thank you for the group suggestion!

You should also probably ask yourself this... Am I physically hungry (this comes with physical side effects, grumbling stomach) or am I mentally hungry? It took me a while to learn the difference but once I did I was able to look at my meals and spot what was lacking when I was physically hungry. As far as keeping me full,…

https://www.fitbit.com/user/2T52ST I would love to find some people to keep me moving. I'm currently sitting in a rut and need to get out!

Congrats!!! Love the Bling!!

No one is saying you can't use them. WHAT they are saying is they ARE NOT universal. Different clips fit different pedals. You just happen to have a pair that fit your spin bike.

I have a hard enough time getting up for work in the morning. I'm certainly not going to get up for exercise, no matter how much I enjoy it. I generally work out during my lunch hour and then again at around 9pm. I find, for me anyway, the night time exercise is best to relieve the stress of the day. And it still gives me…

I forgot to add earlier. If you need some support you are more than welcome to send a friend request. I will encourage the best I can.

I had/have that problem too. I would also suggest the bridge to 10K. I needed to have a reason to train and a goal at the end of my training plan. So I went from C25K to the Bridge to 10K, ran a 10K without stopping and felt awesome. I have YET to run an entire 5K though. But I am getting faster so I must be doing…

For ME there is no alternative to full fat Kraft or Hellman's Mayo. My mother will tell you I put it on my sandwiches like I'm icing a birthday cake. Since I have little control over myself I had to completely replace it with mustard products, spicy brown, deli style, dijon, etc. I still have mayo just limit it to once a…

I could have sworn this was me writing here. According to the interwebs my max HR is 181. <---- Very not true. I ran my fastest 5K this weekend with an AHR 168 and a max spike at 186. At no point did I feel like I was going to "fall out" so I just kept going. Here's a tip, helped me a lot; Stop looking at your heart rate…

Check out P90X3. I'm doing it right now and I am having a good time with it. Challenging but 30 minutes. If I need more I just double up.

Do something you like doing! Softball Soccer Hiking Snow Shoeing Swimming Climbing trees Basically anything you find fun and don't think of as cardio.

As you can see from the 2 pages that exist now there are as many different definitions of jogging and running as there are stars in the sky. It is personal to the person doing the activity. I think it's great some people consider 4mph walking. At 5'4", 40 years old and 11 months of being an ex-smoker, 4mph IS running for…

I started on March 8th. So far I'm having fun! I've lost 2 pounds. Can't wait to see the % of BF lost at the end of Block 1!!! I also either run or cycle for 30 - 60 minutes 6 days a week.

Did you feel like you were running? If you did then you were running! There's no speed at which anyone can say definitively you are running or jogging. I RUN a 14 minute mile. I don't jog but it also doesn't bother me if someone else calls my running jogging. I know what I am doing and that's what matters. Run for fun,…
