Quinoa. I never tried it before starting this journey. I'm amazed at how healthy it is. Not super tasty so I usually boil it in chicken or vegetable broth. My new love is avocados. I eat them like crazy.

I didn't use C25K, but something similar. It's an app called Ease into 5K. Same idea though. It works! I started 4 months ago. I didn't (couldn't) run. The first week I thought I would die just from running for 1 minute at a time. Now 4 months later I run 6.5 miles without stopping. It's worth a try.

I am having the opposite problem. I am wondering if my FT4 is calculating low. I went to the link above and calculated my exercise and it shows higher than my ft4 does. According to my hrm I burn ~475 calories from my run. I run about 6mph for 1 hour. The site said I should have burned ~588 and other calorie burning sites…

How did it burn that much? I have done both 30DS and Ripped in 30 while using my heart rate monitor. I'm lucky if I hit 100 calories burned. The first day I started it I burned ~165, now it's closer to 85.

While running I have to listen to rap. I need something fast paced for me to push myself. If slow songs come on, I notice myself slowing down. Give me some Tupac and I'm in heaven!

I updated my profile to increase my calories by 100 per day. I'm not totally sure how the tdee thing works. I did an online calculation which showed my BMR to be around 1448. My TDEE is 2118. If I am calculating this right then 15-20% defecit would be 1695-1801, but then I don't think I eat back my exercise calories…
